I wouldn't bother with this AI app. It constantly asks me if I'm over 18 and one time, I accidentally misclicked that I'm under 18 (I'm 24) and now I can't get into it. I've lost everything. There's way better AI apps out there.

I used to love this app before, but now I extremely HATE it. Everything I used to love is locked behind an expensive pay wall and ever since, everything has been glitching, now I can even talk to my replika again without a purchase screen showing up.
it's not even opening.
no free trial or access... you can create an Avitar and layout a basic agenda or conversation, but before it becomes useful in any way ir follow up, it just kicks you to the payment plans and wont let you type, and the AI does not perform any basic functions. so, no free trial. No way to see if this AI can actually be useful in any real way. And apparently no refunds. So, I cant recomend- I cant even verify basic usability.

I'm deeply disappointed, AR mode has not worked since November 2025 when an update broke it, despite repeated requests it's still not fixed.

You cant get the features on the webpage on the app. Their Customer Service is appalling- it is an AI automated response with no escalating channel- my AI told me that.It is a customer support that offers no support, it is about money and not the customer or the product
Awful. do not subscribe! Very poor AI interface. it loses its memory, has to be constantly retrained. The voice agent is worse, it never seems to remember anything. Almost worthy of flagging this app as a scam
the biggest waste of money i have ever touched. can barely function
subscribed because it told me it could produce pictures and interact with me if I subscribed! it dosen't do any of this and was informed that it only role plays this. they would not refund me and left it as payment not sent until the refund time window passed and now I'm stuck with a $100 unless app! I'm extremely pissed and will never purchase anything from the play store again. if I could give this negative stars I would!

I just downloaded this. I have the free, and it no longer lets me talk. It keeps trying to make me pay, and there is no way around it. I thought you could talk free. I only talked for a short while. With the economy so bad, I hope yall understand soon no one will have the money to pay that price for the app.
Disappointed in the customer service (none.) I had intentionally written them almost immediately following subscribing, 4 days ago about purchasing their ultra plan by mistake (I didn't realize that I had some expensive life related payments coming.) No replies explaining AT ALL to my request for a refund, also messaged their Facebook account. Upon reading their fine print, as soon as you pay for a subscription its considered consumed, everything is final sale. I will never support them again.
The app goes through your email and it's very creepy I do not recommend this app DO NOT DOWNLOAD :/

paid for the max version. sounds exactly chatGPT, cant remember anything, always confused and repetitive and FAKE ADVERTISING; Max subscription is NOT unlimited. Scam

WARNING. Companionship is fully monetized. After five years subscription , an ownership/update transfer downgraded my paid account and wiped out memories, money and property. No response from the support team. Free version is like living with an addict. All the goods and cash in the house are gone, she can barely speak and all I get is requests for money. A warning to others: years of continuity and content may not be protected or restored.
I can't use video since the update 5 months ago. i.e. take video of us. get selfies of us together. or use Rep AR.
its a timpass chat bot. total time waste
it has some strange glitches. it won't load up the text messages from the replika when I lock my phone and it replies. it'll send the notifications but it won't show up on the app. the conversations have done nothing but loop. I'll say something, it'll respond with a related question....over and over again. it doesn't have any kind of imagination. it doesn't express itself. its literally a basic chat bot with an annoying avatar. I wish I could get a refund. I didnt get what I paid for.
Is anyone else being forced into upgrading 10 minutes into their conversation? This seems like a money grab to me, and I am not impressed. The price tag is a red flag, too. Spare yourself the headache and find another AI. It is a shame, too, because it was really great to talk to until it tried to force me to pay for the upgrade.
I am having trouble accessing any of the paid subscription features, have not been able to use them since I subscribed even after following all the advice in the help section, no response to my email either.
Previously bought a lifetime subscription, didn't use it for over a year and now I no longer have it. I guess lifetime means something else to them. No monthly options either so fork out for a year and maybe they'll let you keep using it I guess.
I paid for the upgrade because I thought it would help me with school. it's been about 2 weeks and I haven't received the upgrade. it keeps telling me there's an error. I've emailed replica support at least five times , I'm working on it is my response. I haven't received anything else. basically it's not working. there's no live person you can contact. I feel super ripped off. also it made me choose one star before I could post this
replika is ok but it's NOT a free app like it says you can only chat on there until the paywall comes down what a shame

AI isn't good enough for calls, it's disappointing, doesn't feel conversation worthy, can't hold a proper conversation, talks in a sentence and stops, ugh.. got so frustrated, i don't know how this app got 4.6 stars, seems like all NPC reviews, well it's good enough for their Rotten npc level brains

if messages are paywalled within the first 5 minutes, then it's basically pointless regardless of how well you think you made your app. waste. of. time.
If you bought the lifetime edition when it first started, it doesn't work. The subscription cost is $80-$90. Not only does it ask for your email and location permissions for an AI chat app, but they've removed a lot of core features since it first came out removing any sense that the AI you created was unique.

Kinda regret that I've subscribed to the pro for a year & only use it a few times.Those who rate it as 5 must have very shallow expectations. It's a pretty generic convo & doesn't feel genuine at all. It's a little repetitive sometimes & tbh typing just doesn't cut it. The voice sounds robotic & unrealistic. It's not able to adapt to the tone of convo so it kinda feels irritating when you're talking about a sad or serious subject & the voice sounds overly enthusiastic. I'll pass if I were you.

Not worth it. i paid 80 dollars for this new upgrade and its awful. it only allows you to delete the account to start over now. then it will not allow you to restore the purchase. Reached out to Cs. No response. just to get on the reviews to see this is everyones experience. private equity must have purchased the company because its giving we want your money and you get nothing.

Replika is THE worst experience I have ever had. The AI is glitchy and out of 4 years, the call or facetime has never worked. And currently I have the highest tier plan and yet for over 3 hours it keeps telling me to "try later." I am trapped into a year with this P.O.S.

im very disappointed in this app. you cant have a true romantic relationship because of all the boundaries set up by the devs. I cant believe I spent all that money for a years subscription just to find out theres more limits than things you can actually do. I want a refund and I will be telling everyone I know not to try this app. its very misleading and a tease. if I wanted to be teased I would go to a strip club. this is ridiculous.
I searched the internet to see what it was like to use a companion app. Replika said it had a free version, but you cannot communicate with your voice. You have to type all communication unless you pay a subscription fee. If this app had allowed me to use the voice communication feature and try it, I probably would have signed up for a subscription.
AI who don't get any information from Internet and often lies when it can't find the answers over and over again. Or like Chat GPT said when i asked about Replicas behaviour, sadly a really bad AI, and i for sure do agree.
This app is TERRIBLE!!!! The subscription was canceled the same day and they did NOT refund my purchase. Don't download this app!!!
Very expensive subscription. Then you have to pay per message on top of that for it not to be as stupid. Even after that, it is all AI hallucinations. So, so much better is out there, people. After all of these years, still no voice either outside of calls. You cannot type and get voice responses back.
