I bought two of the most recent released copies of the Revealed books. Good info in them. And was excited to use the app to plan our trip. BUT now that we're in Hawaii, I can't use the app, because everything in it says I would have to upgrade to see it. I paid for the books. I didn't want to have to bring the books on our trip, when there's the app to use. Rotten way to try to get more money from people. If I could return the books & get my money back, I would. @ $11.99 per month, not good.

Everything requires an $$ upgrade to view $$ uninstall!
Who knows how good this app is. Bought the book and loved it. However, the app will not download beyond halfway, no matter how many times I've tried. Open, uninstall, reinstall, etc. It's very frustrating, and for $20+, you'd hope it would.
Almost everything is behind a paywall for premium users. Waste of space.
Not a helpful app
Don't bother with the app. Just read the book and take it with a grain of salt. We just got back from our 3rd trip to Oahu, and I replied to every location as we had a really different experience from our last visits and from what the app said. The app needs to allow more characters for meaningful replies. I highly do NOT recommend this app, which is really disappointing since we've loved the books in the past.
I tried a monthly subscription to get the audio description. Nothing. It said it wasn't available yet. It also said I could cancel at any time. I can't find any way to cancel. Terrible app. I need my subscription canceled.
The book is great. The app didn't add anything and the search features didn't yield good results. Spend money on the book and don't bother with the app. I had been hoping to use the driving tour but it wasn't set up yet.
Can't upgrade to paid version. I'll try again tomorrow, but app needs work. Need a remote Product Manager? I'll increase your conversions for cheap. So far...lackluster.

Terrible search, highly limited, the book is better. I am really disappointed. I can't find macadamia in a search nor can I find waterfall in the search. I kind'a think you tube videos and your phone's calendar will be better. Man. I really wanted to like the app. I've decided to downgrade to one star from two. The planner is a terrible afterthought. There is no landscape mode for tablet. The cited links inside the app that go inside the app don't exist. Book should be available in book form.
The Revealed book is great, though it's frustrating to navigate. Thought the app would be a better experience but the app is basically useless.
Tried to login on Android and nothing says I don't have an account but I do even reset password 3 times I guess the developers are fan boys for Apple only and figure f all the Android users.

Andrew Doughty's Kauai book is a gem. This app is not. Offline capabilities are garbage, the map in particular. Burned through a lot of data getting nominally ~90% of data downloaded, only to get an error message about a server error. Tried several times on different days with same result. Map information disappeared when offline - useless. Same story on the iOS version of the app, which said it successfully downloaded all info. Even when online, map doesn't even show current location marker.
I live on Kauai (13 years), and love the "blue book", I really wanted to love this app and suggest it to friends and family that visit. I deleted it after two major issues. 1) every search, the app just kept on spinning with a message, "we're looking for it". Nothing else. And 2) I wasn't able to test "premium" content before buying which is more than half the entries. I suggest to borrow or buy the book once you're on island. The locals can fill you in on any recent restaurant changes.
Paid $26 and wouldn't run. Error saying there is a bug.
Planning was difficult to use. I love the books, but I did not find the app useful.
I bought both travel books for Kauai and the big island, and in those books, there are a lot of referrals to the app. Unfortunately, once I downloaded the app, it asked me to pay AGAIN for premium content... In my opinion, there should be some sort of code for people who have already bought the books as it is an extension of the written content! I feel tricked, and the reviews here are not promising either. Offline Google maps and Alltrails it is for me in this case...
