This app is not compatible with Android Auto for navigation. The membership is a waste of money because of this major lack.
this was a very frustrating application to use. This really felt like it was made by AI and not tested for user's ease of use. the concept is nice and would have been lovely if it worked, as it is, buttons malfunction, the ai freezes, inputs don't work. This is the UI, the base functionality of the product. if the core buttons don't work then this app is just a brick wrapped in a pretty shell.... not worth downloading.
worthless now. You used to be able to use it without paying for a yearly subscription but now you are forced to pay to do basically anything on the app. Just use Google maps "search along route" feature which works better.

this used to be a useful app. but now the $ charges are ridiculous. you'd think they would notice half of their review say the app sucks and it costs so much money. a few years ago I planned a 36 stop roadtrip with this app. today that same trip Is impossible to plan due to limitations they implemented and the roadside attractions now are missing info on almost all of the stops I used before. dev doesn't understand feedback. no one cares about having to pay if the app works. it does NOT.
the idea is great the execution is poor is difficult to do anything and you have to keep starting over
I downloaded the app and paid for the membership, I never really used the app, just not that good. But, I get charged for a renewal, no correspondence, nothing. Emailed support on day 8 of the charge being deducted for my credit card. I am told they have a 7 day grace period, and I'm one day over. My complaint is that they should have sent a renewal notice, like all other companies do. This is not because it got lost in my spam folder. They didn't send a notice.
Decided to give the trial a run and immediately the app didn't recognize my home address. Lived here since 2018, single family home with a USPS mailing address recognized by Amazon, Google, UPS, FedEx, etc. Not sure what service the app is using for address validation, but if it's that outdated not sure I want to rely on this service for up-to-date data for a road trip.
Like it, want to pay for it, but no android auto only car play. If you guys care about your product and its customers, why hasn't this been addressed?

Same as every other review. Used to be great, but now you need a super super subscription for this app to be useful. Such a shame that this app was taken over by corporate greed.
Very hard to use app. They charge you then want more to even use it.
Horrible customer service. They do not care about their customers. They bill without sending any notices for renewals, and although I haven't used the app for 1.5 years, they will not refund auto renewals that I did not sign up for and had thought were cancelled... obviously something didn't go through properly.

awfull, uninstalled after 5 minutes, tried searching for my town and it dident come up and couldnt plan from the map for some reason. tried serching for paris as a starting location just to test it and it only came up with paris,TX, instead of paris the actual capital of france.
PAY FOR WHAT?! IT USE TO BE FREE! REPLY TO DEVELOPER: It's exactly the same as before . The only difference is you got to pay for it now. I'm not paying for a fancy Google maps.
SCAM!! Fake app. Once you pay, it won't let you log in. It will redirect you to a page that will ask you to pay more. Don't do it.

This app used to be perfect for trip planning and even opened my eyes to new opportunities. Some time has passed since I last used it so I was really caught off guard to find out that you have to pay to use it now. Super disappointing but expected when RT got acquired by another company.
I searched what the best roadtrip planning app might be, and Roadtrippers came up on top. I downloaded the app to see what it was/did. The offered free trial was useless as the features weren't all available and I am in Canada . I wasn't interested after that, but Google loaded my credit card number into the app. I cancelled the subscription renewal when I saw that and they said they would send an email before date of renewal. Didn't happen & they charged me for a Premium on Jan 5. Rip off.
This navigation app does not actually navigate. They tell you your waypoints and you get to enter them into Google maps manually. One at a time, and then use maps for navigation. Their support page asks if this is something wanted to let them know. There are posts going back years asking for this feature. I joined this for the specific reason of navigation after I do all of my planning. Making the user reenter everything is ridiculous. I'm canceling my membership. this is not at all worth it.
Outdated. Camp site info is very dated. First two sites I looked at had bad links. The first pointed to domain that wasn't registered and the other went to a wrong page on a government site. This app may have been good but if none of your I do is kept up to date, there is no value here, only headaches.

This is a ridiculously stupid app for anyone in Canada 🇨🇦. You can't make sure you can locate only Canadian destination. It keeps trying to redirect me to include US destination. I've been trying this out for hours and it's better just to use Google maps to plan your trip. I'm trying to cancel my subscription. I also would like to get a full refund as this app is useless.

I paid for full membership under the impression I can use the ap offline as a GPS... not. If you aren't online you have nothing. misleading advertising. This app can't tell me where to find potable water. The most common sense necessities aren't available. If you want to find a useless visit along the way oh boy does it do a good job and you can't get rid of it.

I had high hopes for this app. Come to find out that it's way too restrictive in features before you're required to purchase a subscription. To require a membership for more than 3 waypoints and inviting people to the itinerary is a low blow, considering other programs allow these features in their free versions at the minimum.Furthermore, the membership purchase screen doesn't show the cost of each level. If one attempts to purchase a membership, the "purchase" button seems to do nothing.

Used to be a truly free app. I haven't used it in a couple of years. Forced to update. Now, one has to create an account to use app. I Don't Want To Creae An Account! Deleting Roadtrippers and going back to Google Maps.

used to love this app before they changed it to focus on making money over offering a usable app. paid for a year to unlock my trips but not worth it. all of the fun quirky stops that uses to be searchable are gone. please go back to focusing on having a great app vs greed.
Super disappointed... this app used to be good. I haven't used it in a couple months so I got back on it and it won't let me do anything without buying a subscription, which I already paid for, but when I click restore subscription it loads forever and never actually restores the subscription I PAID FOR. Now I have this subscription I can't even use until July 2026... I would like a refund.
