Inadequate cleaning and poor obstacle detection
DustCompactor205 as a machine is great! The app was good, but the last update has stopped it working. Vac still does everything it needs to but the app constantly drop connections, can't render home map, won't resume cleaning after errors and won't allow to merge/split rooms on our map as needed. *edited* emailed as per request. no response. emailed again - now I wait. App has gone down hill & now the robovac can't be used at all. A refund is looking like the best bet atm.
I'll never get this brand again, it almost never starts vacuuming, it always gets lost, always. Constantly calibrating to find location. Do not get this brand!!!!!

Extremely hard to navigate. Overly complicated. Had to uninstall ap due to complications to factory reset roomba. Won't let me reinstall ap. Says my phone won't support this ap even though it had been installed previously. Would not recommend the Roomba 400 combo mop vac or the ap.
app constantly stops working and tells me that the vacuum is stuck even though there's nothing around the vacuum. also likes to make random new maps that have nothing to do with the old map or look anyway like my house.
The new app is horrible. The old app had a quick way to select specific rooms and go. This one is a pain to pick them. . You could also create a group of rooms as a favorite and name it. Now it's just number of rooms. No name. Same thing with automation (formally known as schedule). No name.
4/22/2026...worked ok for a while, now I cannot start a routine without the mop head in place even when I am trying to just vacuum. Old app wasn't great, but it worked. With new update, robot will die in the middle of the floor instead of going back to charge. Routines are not completed, but are marked as complete. After update on 2/27, robot is still completely dying instead of returning to charge and not completing routines, although app says it has when the map clearly shows rooms incomplete.
App is horrible. Won't let me rename rooms or edit them from the original mapping. Almost always get "something went wrong, try again" error. Robot also gives erroneous "dirty mop water bucket and full dust bin" errors all the time making it not operate.
I have an expensive newest version Roomba & the app cannot connect to Wifi & the vacuum is now useless.
Can't find older Roomba

It would be a good app if interacting with it didn't mean waiting for 20 seconds or more after every button press. Simple tasks take forever.
my robot keep saying that it is lost and i am having a hard time to communicate to my wi fi
They broke their old app, and this one doesn't support their older models. They responded on this review to ask me to contact them. If only they actually responded to support messages from the apps
This app is incredibly frustrating. In just three weeks, it lost my maps, history, and automations twice, forcing tedious re-setups. The interface is unintuitive: history isn't centralized, and map editing frequently fails without explanation. Additionally, the lack of map detail makes precision tasks, like setting keep-out zones using wall protrusions, nearly Impossible. The app lacks specific error details when Roomba needs help, and map status updates are inconsistent. like buggy alpha ver.
now you hid the dock controls. Stop taking away features!!!!
the old app is better
I don't know why the app and/or the Roomba works great then suddenly nothing works. I keep getting a message to install the mop but I just want to vacuum. I've performed all of the troubleshooting steps and the app stalls at 93% charged and won't let me vacuum. If I manually press the start button, Roomba just circles around in front of the dock then returns to charge. Guess I'll have to go back to using my stone-age Shark robot; he never gives me any trouble.

Since the upgrade this app is totally useless. It keeps losing connection, and the process for recovering it is lengthy and insane. Why do they insist on breaking what isn't broken? The app worked perfectly before the upgrade. My automations no longer work, so the cleaning I had working during the night before are not getting done now unless I do them during the day when I can get connected and start them manually. Worthless!
After the update I can't turn off mop drying anymore. Looks like a bug. It's already drying but the button says, "Dry Mop"
Since the last update, the roomba doesn't clean anymore; just gets 3ft away from the dock and thinks she's stuck. She's still completely clean, replaced all the parts, still useless.

one of the most bugged apps I've ever used. i would never use it if it weren't for the fact that it's needed for the robot vacuum. im trying to order parts and any time you try to checkout it drops the instance window.
Sometimes, the Roomba listens to the app commands and sometimes NOT. I have STRONG WiFi, yet the app or Roomba doesn't think so
the app isn't working well
too many glitches hard to start a simple new task keeps asking for mop even when not mopping and when installed still asks for it to be installed
this last update sucks, now my Roomba won't come out at sked time, have to manually do it, the app does not work anymore,
