please just stop acting like you are going to help anyone and just tell us you are thieves who use human disparity and need for housing as a front for a scam BS app. you auto post everyone a new profile and you told me I had actual messages but I can't see them until I paid $12 so I pay and they aren't even messages they are auto prompts you send out taht people don't even know they supposedly sent. I had people from 400 miles away looking for rooms and you play like sent me a message. BBB now
I tried reaching out to support via email and they would not cancel the app. I was charged a lot and wish to be refunded. I hope someone can please follow up with me.
I think I remember a time when roomster used to be free and that's the only reason why I downloaded the app again. Then I get a notification that I have to unlock to use all its services and I was unsure that what that meant until I checked today to see that my messages are now locked despite seeing a couple green ones and a couple blue ones, so I can't even see what they say. That kinda sucks... Looks like I'll be deleting the app cause I'm not trying to pay $12/wk to read them 🤷♀️

Scam , you can't really cancel any of their subscriptions, I have never got a hold of customer service, just automated responses based off generic faq. I cancelled my subscription and deleted my account. They still take $29.99 a month from my bank account. I have to close my account now. This app is bunk, with bots and fakes ads. Buyer beware don't give them your info or you'll be sorry!

honestly this app is a scam. when you purchase the 11.99 for a week of use ( which is ridiculous ) you barely get any messages or interests. the SECOND you stop paying, you get tons of people contacting you but guess what? you can't see the messages because your not paying for it. it's ridiculous. avoid this app at all costs. it's just a money scraping scheme. list your apartment or room for free on zillow or facebook or craigslist. don't waste your time with this app.
The app has very few listings. Most listings are missing important details like images of the property and location.
I was just looking for a roommate and my phone number was blocked for no reason. The AI assistance bot told me to contact support but I can't contact support because they blocked my phone number. Terrible customer support and AI systems.
I usually don't write reviews but, this app deserves it. First don't waste your time. This app is full of bots. First they send you a bot message, you'll try to open it, they'll tell you, you have to pay to read it. If you pay that bot will never answer. You'll get a ton of bot messages after that of course none of them will answer. They scammed $11 out of me. They won't get another.

Completely USELESS!! Not all adds are legitimate!! Most Are Spam!! Over 90% Of "Landlords" Dont Even Update Their Information/ Or If "No Longer Available"!! No Response From Them Either!! And If There Is A Few That Would Respond, Youd Have To Pay $12 A Week To Read The Messages!! I Was Mid Seaching When I Got Cut Off And Waited 2 Days To Have Access To My Account!! When I Logged Back In All My Info Was Deleted!! Find Something Else Thats Better!!
it's a scam
Just one big scam. You have to pay to read messages. Which I did. Only to find out everyone who will actually respond to me is a bot or scammer. I had this for three months and didn't even come close to finding a roommate or place. If you still feel the need to download this for some reason, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.
I accidentally created a listing which was a mistake. When I go to view my listings, it has me make selections all over again instead provide me the listing I created. App is not user friendly without having to purchase a subscription.
This app is ridiculous. They lie and try to steal your money. When you try to get away from these thieves they lie and say that you never had an account. Then it was you never gave them your email, even though you are emailing the thief. The witch I'm dealing with says I have apple pay. I've never had apple pay. Then they give you the run around trying to confuse you. I never approved the rip off of 30 dollars a month. I approved the one week 11.99 and THAT'S IT. Thieves!!!!
this app is horrible it logged me out 3 days after I was subscribed and when I tried to logged it it says my phone number does not exist and it's been 5 days with this issue and the help menu is a automated system you can't even speak with anyone...I can't even unsubscribe the app and they are charging me.....not recommended for this app.

Why should you have to pay to message people? That what makes this app unusable. And the lowest price that there is would be 11.99, which doesn't help toward your goal if you're trying to save up to even move out.

Makes you pay to read messages before you can actually get any info about potential roommates or rooms, which defeats the point of an app like this. most people who use apps like this sorta can't spare ANY fee just to talk to people. especially if most profiles are pretty empty.
This is a terrible app and a total rip off scam. I wasn't able to access any of the features after paying for a full access subscription. All i can say is never again and I strongly suggesst that others do not make the same mistake as I did.
i was randomly unable to login to the app with no customer support to explain why but they took my Money for it so dishonesty is more then obvious... so just scammer app

Don't even bother! The map shows the same people even in a different city and you have to pay a SUBSCRIPTION to even see messages. 11 dollars weekly?! Really?

Download SPAREROOM instead don't waste your time with Roomster. Not only did the ID verification not work no matter how many times I tried it, it just kept loading, they had the audacity to tell me that I got two new messages from Members about listings but then hide my entire message inbox behind a paywall. Why would you charge people who are trying to find a new roommate money to communicate with them? $12 for ONE week of access? Ridiculous.

you get like a day of messaging and then you have to pay after that. you literally can't message anyone until you pay. which the cheapest option is 12 bucks a week. and there are mainly fake accounts on this app. if you're looking for a place, don't waste your time here if you're looking to rent out a room, it will automatically send out messages to anyone in the market in your area without asking you - hundreds of messages.
