terrible APP that constantly signs out and wastes time. shouldn't have to use an app for a discount. will probably do more of my shopping elsewhere.

Design whose intention is to require extra interactions like this makes you want to go back to just clipping coupons. makes me absolutely less likely to use. If minus stars were an option. -5
I can not get into it. I have tried for days. I am frustrated. It is my grocery life line. I have talked to assistants I have been to the phone store. No one seems to know what the issue is. All of my other apps work just not my Safeway. I guess my shopping st Safeway is over. I guess Fred Meyer gets my business. I have spent hundreds at Safeway! Not a happy customer.
constant issues
Latest update broke the app. Upon opening the app, it just becomes a blank white screen.
There's no reason this app should be so bad in this day and age. It's always been a 50/50 chance whether the app will load or not. I just missed the chance to substitute an out of stock item because of it.
stores with poor signal or wifi connectivity issues cause major inconvenience to get the best price. what is the value of this app to the consumer. also different apps for the same conglomerate? already feel cheated, this just adds to aggravation

This app has always been annoying, but now it's just not even working. I go in, and it shows safeway on the top in Grey, but I can't click on anything. Guess I will be doing my pickup order on my computer.

I used to love using the app but after yet another update it has completely screwed up my app and I am no longer able to use it. I literally cannot get into my app anymore. Stop screwing around guys!!! Just can't leave well enough alone can you...UNBELIEVABLE
I don't know what happened, it just doesn't work anymore. The app stopped working about 5 days ago, and I updated it, but it still won't work. Safeway suggested I contact them through FAQ in the app. I would love to, if the app would load. It's literally a blank screen, I can't click anything.

The new version of this app seems to be incompatible with the original version. i can't even open it. Their A-I assistant does not solve the problem.

if I could give this app zero stars I would. the chat on online orders ignore you. if you have a problem they aren't gonna help you. you'll have to go to the store. they will ignore you completely.
I used to love this app. Now. I absolutely hate it because of this one feature it now has. I will not share my location! It is absolute bs that I cannot say 'I'm on my way' without sharing my location, I can't even say 'I'm here' without sharing my location. and the phone number is conveniently not working... please change it so I don't gave to share my location in order to say im on my way!!!

it's bugging out
Literally, the worst app ever.I have tried so many times to shop through this app.Because it's supposed to make everything easier, right?No not for me it hasn't. every single time I try to click on any item doesn't matter what it is.It will not load. It literally takes me three hours to shop through here for ten items. and I have a brand new phone, so not that. but this is supposed to be a convenience, and it's a headache.

1 star because it's required & zero stars for ripping off customers during app failure charging with no goods received I've escalated my concerns to no avail. Scammed with no customer service skills, just transfers to another department and each one is impotent ⭐️
If I could give it a zero I would. After latest update there's a error code 404 then blank screen with only safeway and a arrow facing backwards. Please fix!!
The pharmacy section doesn't work. I just get stuck in a loop of entering my email, entering the verification code and then being prompted to log in all over again. It seriously sucks. And their support team didn't graduate high school.

The most recent update has caused the app not to open most of the time. My favorite app feature is paying for gas with the app. I'm finding many things no longer in stock in store but the app still says in stock. Please fix the app crashing issues ASAP.
Latest update broke the "set substitutions" feature, its infuriating. No matter what I change substitutions to it sets the item to "substitute with best match" even if I want no substitutions. Usually this app is barely functional but now it's just broken.
It never loads. And it definitely doesn't load while you're trying to shop and clip coupons....
Just plane STOP WORK.

I've been using this app for years. It's been mostly mediocre, but it's the only way to do Drive Up & Go, so I keep using it. Unfortunately, with the latest update, it does absolutely nothing. I get a blank screen that says Safeway at the top with no option to click anywhere else. I really hope they can get it functional again, or I'll have to find a new store for grocery pickup. The gas piece has had a lot of issues too for awhile now. Fix please!
