one ui 8.5 compatible version is horrible...and ugly...vaunted one 8.5 is meh at best step back at worse...dialer colors are horrible
Update ruined app
This update is awful. Removing content search is one of the dumbest decisions you’ve made. Now I can’t search inside files anymore, only file names, which makes this app far less useful. And why did you break PDF defaults? I can’t even open PDFs with my preferred app anymore. Stop removing useful features and making the app worse.
this app has recently become useless, the "home page" has become a total shitshow of useless screenfiller that prevents one to easily access the files and other storage solutions whether online or offline storage. when opening the Google drive storage the app reports "no files add files to google drive to keep them safe and synced on all your devices" all automation needs to stay away of "my files" i need to be able to use "my files" to manage my files online and offline.

I absolutely hate what UI 8.5 has done to My Files, which I have used, and counted on its stability for years. Every folder in internal storage Grid View is a disgusting color. I don’t see an option to change. I'm ok with colors, but it should be MY CHOICE on MY PHONE! I'll move everything to proton drive and go from there. SO $%:*#ing DISAPPOINTED. Hope Samsung is reading this and can give me back some control over MY PHONE. You seem to forget that this is MY phone!

Removed system default PDF viewer setting
New update has totally spoiled the user-friendlyness of My Files. Now it is useless to keep My Files app. While using this app, there is a chance of data getting lost.
No way to see folders.
Shame it doesn't allow me access to Android/Data folder of my own phone.
An app added without my approval
The recent update to the My Files app (Version 15.4.08.3) has removed the ability to use third-party PDF readers like Adobe Acrobat, forcing us to use your inferior built-in viewer. This is unacceptable and a direct hit on user choice. I demand you immediately restore the option to set custom default PDF apps in My Files. Fix this immediately.
one terrible issue after update, it now become open pdf files by default by my files itself passing my original pdf file viewer, i tried to change default app for pdf files without success , so in summary after update all my pdf files should be opened manually by the app i want , and this time consuming

There is no way to bring back deleted videos and photos from photos. Can you please make one? i really need it
After a recent update, I am no longer able to set PDF files to open in another application by default. It appears to let you, but then it opens PDFs itself anyway. I have opened a support ticket with Samsung about this issue already but nothing has changed. Never buying another Samsung product again whether it's a phone, TV, refrigerator, etc. -100 stars.

it constantly changes and now you can't access your android and data files additional to not letting other apps you installed access or show them to you
The recent update made My Files worse. TXT files now open in Samsung's read-only viewer instead of my chosen editor (QuickEdit). Even after selecting "Open with QuickEdit" and choosing "Always", My Files ignores my preference. This is a regression, not an improvement. Please stop hijacking TXT file associations and allow users to set their preferred default editor.

After a recent update, I can no longer use my "Favorites" to navigate when I want to transfer, copy, or paste photos. When I select Favorites, all that appears is equally spaced circles where the Favorites Folders should be. FILE MANAGEMENT = 0 STARS.

I actually love this app. But it harrasses me to free up space on my device constantly. I hoard in real life and on my phone. I am a constant 90%+ I don't need to be constantly reminded I don't have space. I will never buy virtual storage gtfoh.
