Also the my offers are just terrible, they used to have some good deals on stuff people actually buy, but now it's all barely a deal for stuff nobody wants. Co-op will have their normal prices often beat the sale prices at save on. Ironic name because you won't be saving anything.

will not let me log in - been trying on both mine and my wife's phones - does not work - goes to error screen - wasting so much of my time.
This app as well as the website continues to take me through an endless loop of logging in but never actually allows me to. It just takes me to a different login page but never opens to my information or card account. So frustrating and useless! Android user.

Couldn't get barcode to scan because for some reason the save on foods app was controlling how bright i could have my screen. why the does it even have the permission to do that??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

glitchy slow hard to navigate
lots of download issue recently. now wont allow me to log in.
my card was compromised and when I got the new card it's not on the app. only the old card. brought it up to the person who helped with the card and they didn't respond. basically useless app now
can't login, useless app
All I want is where to find something in store. I came in looking for two items, jerky and trailmix. It took 40 minutes and the website said nothing is available even for items I was standing in front of, and the app says I can order it, I just want to know where it is because jerky was really well placed to waste my time, between a drink cooler and popcorn.
Crashes constantly. Latest version.
This app freezes and stalls and you can't shut it down or turn it off.

Terrible UI that doesn't allow to be closed or switched away from (locks out navigation tray). Uninstalling immediately.
Embarrassing. Never seen such incompetent Devs, if you can call them that anyway. The user experience is rim full of bugs and glitches. Just a horrible experience of how not to create an app or website
Great if you want to sign in multiple times to access multiple areas of the app. I literally am writing this while waiting for my pizza hut because i couldnt bother to reset my forgotten password AGAIN so i could get deals and shop at save on. Ohh and the password is saved and entered in the "more rewards" section, but it wants me to log in AGAIN to access my deals.. with the saved credentials not working. I quit save on foods *****update, same old same old almost 3 years later

worst app. they added on "are you human" and the app just freezes. you are losing lots of online customers
this things keeps kicking you out. glitches all the time. if I didn't need it for the deals now I wouldn't have it at all!
Password requirements are ridiculous, it's a grocery store rewards card, it doesnt need to be 12 characters with multiple symbols.....

2025-11-17 annoying that it keeps logging me put and needing to verify that I am HUMAN.
Constant problems with this app. Verification of payment often doesn't work, discounts don't apply at check out so you get overcharged. They reduced the number of stores for delivery and our delegated store has poor quality produce. CO-OP app has already been a lot better.

I'd give ZERO stars if I could because now it never works. Keeps checking if im "human" and never ends. Unusable!!! Guess ill go elsewhere for groceries.
2025 nov 10 The recent update is terrible. The purchase button was grayed out until I restarted the app. the checkout is a pain because of the human verification process which often fails saying I have internet connection problem (I do not!). The TD credit card verification is annoying and doesnt work sometimes, when I verify the purchase with TD app and come back to the Saveon App, nothing happens(Hello!) They try so hard for me to make a purchase
this app no longer loads the deals of the week? and made me install a new app that also doesn't work.

The app has been great for years, but now there is this "added security feature" that I have to log into my banking app and approve the purchase. This is annoying enough on its own, but it's never works. I go to my banking app and approve it, then go back to the save on app where I get a message saying they are contacting my bank with a wheel spinning indefinitely. I've tried many times and it never goes through. This app is now unusable.
what an embarrassment of an app. you can register but good luck signing in. I tried several times and it gets stuck on loading when you click sign in. uninstalling.
won't let me log in because password is wrong, try to reset, and the email sent to my account says that email not associated with an account. create new Account with email, says email already used. destroyed the app with a logic bomb before even being able to use it once. I'll just shop at Sobeys.

absolutely terrible UI. Images fail to load, buried menus, hidden conditions, no one checked with an actual human to see if this garbage works.
The app was good when they first brought it out. But it's just buggier and buggier as the years go on. Grocery prices are still bad, but Save-on is too broke/cheap to fund their own business.
Stopped sending confirmation emails. I contacted to try to solve my issue of not receiving confirmation emails or emails to say when your order is ready etc. they said to check my spam to which I replied saying it is not going to spam I'm not getting them at all only to have zero response from customer service and no solution to the problem.
Going from convenient to confusing. Now unable to opt out of substitutions for all items even if the option is unchecked.. Who knows what is going to show up. Meanwhile prices not honoured and customer service does not respond.
Doesn't work with a VPN, very annoying
too worried to trust apps. aunty loves online and delivery service.

The app never stays logged in to my account and my card never scans at self check out. The only real use I have for the app is to refill prescriptions.
sometimes it's great but I've been experiencing lots of times where I cannot sign in when I was in the store and trying to use the app been like that all day today and every other time I walk into the store

At least 50% of the time, after a considerable amount of time shopping and fulling my cart, the app won't let me check out. There is no button anywhere check out.
