For the size of schwab and it's budget the app is in such an unacceptable state. Why am I not able to sell by lot in the view lot window Why is there no way to change the default behavior of cost basis method? Why do I have to specify the quantity in sell window before being allowed to sell specified lots we live in an era where TIME is money and schwab is seriously wasting a lot of time.
Only for Domestics, not for Globals. Ai did warn me about Schwab being an outdated company, and using the app from two devices from two different countries did in fact causes a problem and I was required to call the company for verification during the US Office Hours. Could still be a good choice for domestics as the app doesn't malfunction and has most common features.
This app is worse than the previous app they are deprecating. The app seems similar to the old app but it does not run well on my phone.
Schwab, when is this app going to be fixed? Login takes multiple attempts and app sends multiple access codes before a pop-up states login is unavailable at this time. Garbage!
banking with schwab has been an absolute nightmare. you wont be able to access your own money most of the time, should be criminal.
I'm told I need to download the latest Swhab app, well I have, but still can't get to my portfolio, what gives??

PDT Ended a WEEK AGO and you guys Knew it would for MONTHS yet are Still trying to enforce it! Update IMMEDIATELY, or else be in Violation, not to Mention I may just find a platform not so Slow to keep up with SEC & FINRA regulations...
schwab has lost so much of my money
Now there is a serious bug where the app is black when you open it but when you go into switching recent apps then it appears and you can use it.
Search function doesn't work. When searching for a ticker using the search bar, only stocks that you own display and nothing else. This essentially makes any research or buying a new stock impossible.
The worst trading app. Closed positions will still show as active in your portfolio, options orders will wig out mid-transaction. The only reason Schwab is still around is because boomers are still calling their brokers on the phone to place orders.
I know Schwab doesn't read these but for everyone else listen up. These greedy pos UPDATE their app what seems like every month. It is always for YOUR security & convenience. Yet they NEVER seem to do either. They rate a NEGATIVE 20 stars. UPDATE 4 16 26. 2 UPDATES IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS!
Tried 6 times to install without success
Another day, another issue with this app. if you are considering Charles Schwab & you mostly use apps on your phone/tablet - pick a different brokerage. I'm tired of getting errors like this "This feature is temporarily unavailable....please try again later." when trying to log in or the app taking 1+ min to start (restarting my phone didn't fix this). A huge downgrade from the TD app...like they nerfed it and made it buggy. They should have just converted their existing customers to the TD app!
I am unable to log in on the app. None of the customer service listen or care to escalate the issue. Seems like they don't have my phone number in their auth system. Should be a simple fix but they are unwilling to do it.
6/6/24 Scrap it. Upgrade to the TD Ameritrade app. Still feel that way after 6 months. Now I'm also annoyed at the more frequent and seeminlgly longer and less readable agreements that have to be made to use services. I'm being encouraged more and more to move elsewhere. Schwab's only saving grace is everyone else seems to suck compared to TD Ameritrade as well. April of 2026. I still would like to have the Schwab app upgraded to what TD Ameritrade offered prior.
Unfortunately this app misses the mark after you download it. Trying to set up a checking account and error messages every time. What's the purpose of having an app if it doesn't perform the way It's supposed to. The app developers need to take heed to the comments and redo the entire app. ☹️
worst mobile app ever
For the last month it has been forcing me to call Schwab to obtain a security code every time I use the app. I even use a TOTP 2FA but apparently this isn't good enough anymore?! Seriously, do better!
I wish I still had Scottrade or even Ameritrade.
I like the interface. However I just figured they provide a lot of wrong tax lot info if you use a lot of put/call

amritrade, app was much easier to use and follow. Everything is 5x harder than it should be: Have to view other apps to see dividends pay out for Stock, Rated 2.5 star is very telling how much effort has been put into the mobile app:
They will quote how much margin you can use and then give you a margin call the next day. You can not see even half the columns as td ameritrade. Can't even see dividends in the app so bad
This app worked previously but now every time that I attempt to login I get a message stating "The login service is temporarily unavailable. we are working to resolve the problem" So far temporarily has been about 4 weeks!
Would be better if it didn't keep crashing in the middle of trading days. Yeah that was heavy sarcasm. Taking away 1 start because it's down again during a heavy trading day. Are you afraid we're all going to pull our money out? if this keeps happening you may be right.
App isn't working at all and can't manage my account or even see my balance! I miss TD Ameritrade. Schwab is trash by comparison.
another update and rather making improvements they removed usefully capabilities such as details to a options position when clicking on it from the watchlist. now it just shows "please enter valid symbol". heck it is one of my positions so yes it is a valid symbol. unbelievable! managers and QC asleep at the wheel or just incompetent
app resume can lock you into a state where you can't leave the order status screen because for some reason the back button logs you out. the back button should never log you out without confirmation. fire your qa team please

I can login at my computer but not on the app...
You would think for a well know bank, the app would work. it has so many bugs, balance does not display properly and there are glitches everytime you do something in the app.
the worst thing a financial app can do is to have the wrong information. The "Daily Change" is fixed... well, a refresh link was added. but other issues remain. the "gain los"s tab is useless. it repeats what can be displayed in "positions" tab. it's supposed to show gain or lose over a particular stock over a period of time, but maybe there's a different understanding and I'm just not at the level of the geniuses who designed this thing. the UI is still attrocious. And order status... no room..
annoying. on android, I keep getting message "Screen Share We apologize, something went wrong. Please try again." screen was not shared whatsoever.

had this app for years. now it says my password is incorrect. I use a password manager, and it logs in on the PC just fine. the mobile app is broken

Excellent service, Terrible App. And this is an app review so 1 star for a company this big is being honest. It just lags, sometimes crashes, the interface is terrible not readable, a sophomore student in UX/UI and another en graphic design could have made a better work
Update: And now, this multi billion dollar corporation just broke THEIR OWN option detail screen across the ENTIRE APP. Prior: Just unbelievable; stunning incompetence. Today, all data was down for the ENTIRE DAY. After a YEAR of complaints, they still log you out every 2 damn seconds, and people have complained about this from day one. TD Ameritrade, you could set it for 8 hours, no problem.
