app does not give up to date valuations which would be the whole point of an investment app. it's over 1% out compared to iweb app.

I'm sure it's wonderful but.. Why send me letters encouraging me to use the app when the app tells me it doesn't support my product? The app tells me to use the website. Yet more of my rapidly shortening life is spent again filling in my details only to be told that the website doesn't support my product and tells me to phone. But , guess what? They've either cut the number of operators and/or the remaining operators are inundated with calls by people like me. Think I'll try a telegram.
Well that was a waste of time. I registered, I got the letter of confirmation, I go through the online registration process, I get the email to confirm my email address, I click the link and it goes to a black page.... that's it. Been trying for a few hours now. The server at scv.secure.scottishwidows.co.uk:8080 is taking too long to respond.

Can't login, set up an email and password, use them and it says 'details not recognised'. request a new password link and never get the email, rubbish
Can't get any details as a download or screenshot. I wanted to be able to download the data to share with my IFA and to put in my one spreadsheet but there is no option to download and even screenshots are disabled.
Awful company. Can't access much in terms of investments. Can't even sell your investments online, have to call up and then the process doesn't even start until the next working day, then takes 3-5 working days to complete. Absolute joke. Online access is clunky, website UI is terrible, everything is slow. Best thing you can do is transfer out of SW as soon as you can.
not sure why as all my other apps work ok this just coming up with no internet connection please retry ?????
very limited view of your pension, ok to view the value but no good for starting or changing drawdown its as basic as possible,
The most frustrating app I have used , when you log in it doesn't recognize email or password, despite changing the password 12 hours early, life is too short for this.

Still hiding useful features for no reason. I can't understand why they keep messing around with the information shown. It's almost like they don't think about their customers. There's no way to see what your pension will be worth on retirement. Where's has it gone? Bring back the option to see how changing payments or retirement date affects value. It says it includes this but no. Just not there. I've left feedback and it's still happening.
The App is absolute rubbish
I'm not sure what is worse, the app or the customer service team. I can't log in via the app and the customer service team are useless and can't help you log in. Avoid - complete waste of time
The ID verification just doesn't work so I can't change my details.
why does it now ask for my email and not my user name
blocks GrapheneOS devices for "security measures" - please return to your engineers and companies performing your pentests and ask them what actually affects security rather than ticking checkboxes. edit: yes Hannah, it's frustrating when the device requirements naively assess risk, fund choice is limited, customer support is unhelpful; inconvenient to use; and in your case snarky. I'll continue to transfer out my pension regularly to keep away from your bloodsucking fees as much as possible
trying select funds on app and downloading fact sheet impractical. switching funds online doesn't complete, forcing you to use app. SW learn what your customers want, not just driving you to the app.
Doesn't recognise my account despite it being fine on the web. Does not allow entry of username, only email which it doesn't recognise. Totally useless.
Really doesnt offer much beyond viewing balance, which can be done via halifax app also. Large "manage" button just says it doesn't do anything yet when clicked. World away from the apps of the SIPP providers.

Just gets stuck in a loop when you try to register. Never let's you confirm the email as states the link has expired even though they've only just sent it. So then you are stuck
Glitchy and unreliable. Worked fine at first but now opens but will not allow further access to investment portfolio. Just keeps giving 'try again' message. No inbuilt contact or reporting facility. Very poor.
Unable to register due to a connection issue but I've got full internet access through wifi
Nice looking app but nothing works. Tried to register existing accounts....nowhere to do this (or it's hidden). 22/04/2026 App still useless not bringing any products across. 03/05/2026 The last update from SWid was incorrect. I could not bring across the other accounts as they were not linked internally. Even though the accounts have now come across they are STILL not working in the app/online. All I see is 'Service Interruption' upon clicking on them.
Can't login , when its fine on web,so its the app. Contact us phone number is out of date on SW site so little hope the app will get fixed
Says my device (Pixel 9, running GrapheneOS, which is more secure and private than stock android) doesn't meet their security standards to run their app, so now I have to use the EXACT SAME DEVICE to login using a web browser, after jumping through hoops to get web logon details. Just dumb when you consider these apps are mostly fancy front ends to show web pages. Consider the rating system here is also skewed in their favour, as you can't even award them a well deserved zero star rating!!!

After trying this app a year or so ago and getting constantly badgered to use it every time I try to log in, I decided to give it another try. Even fewer of my accounts with other providers work than last time! Uninstalled again pretty sharpish. It would be nice if I could tell the website to stop badgering me and that I've tried it, but no. Guess I'll just have to put up with it until I leave my current employer.

does not work for money4life, which requires a username not an email despite recommending you download it
2 major problems. Firstly, the app insists that you put a pin in your phone (for security) before you can even access it. It's my phone, my details and my risk....I don't like being dictated to by software! Secondly, having duly done as I was told despite my reticence, upon sign-up you are told you will receive a verification email. I've gone through the process about 6 times over the last 4 months and not once have I received the email. So, it's not fit for purpose and I can't access my account

app has stopped working for me. when I log in I get a message saying "you can't view this product here" so I can't view my pension on the pension app ? really ?
I HATE that the app includes the state pension in its retirement calculation. You shouldn't need to do a calculation to undo needless information

Terrible app. It says that I need to go to app settings and choose to go paperless. In the Android version that I have this is not in any way accurate and it does not work at all. Also it seems that the password for access through the website is not the same as for the app. infuriating. And why is it only possible to contact them by phone and during during office hours? Incredibly annoying. I moved my old pension pot from Aegon to SW. I wish I hadn't.
stopped working - keeps telling me "something has gone wrong" no matter what I do. So I have to use the website instead. (in response to the comments from SW, I have of course updated, reinstalled, cleared cache, etc - it just doesn't work any more which in this day and age is completely unacceptable)
In principal a useful app. But one fundamental flaw - I can't access my ISA and trade, it just shows me the standard share dealing account despite showing my ISA total on the main page. So unfortunately the app is useless to me as I still have to login to the web page to do anything.
