Not working for some apps
It's a great app, but about 1 to 3 days of using it it just stops working!! I set it that from 10 pm to 8 am some apps will be totally blocked, but it doesn't block any, and I end up doomscralling!!! 🤬Even during the day, some apps like Pinterest, I set a timer to delay when to opening, but Zed screen doesn't even delay Pinterest from opening, or even track it!!!! Actually now I am on the look out for another app! I am disappointed 😞
multiple times they have removed my review when I check on it. inconsistent blocking of websites is very frustrating. edit may 1st, 2026: funny thing is, it was working for about 2-3 weeks after I submitted that review again, but it is now no longer working again, does not block sites. submitted a bug report.
great, but huge fatal flaw I was loving this app, and was thinking about donating, but then I realised; you can go on Instagram WITHIN THE APP! By clicking on the Instagram icon on their settings page, you can then access Instagram on Android WebView the very thing I use it to block!!!! such an obvious and ridiculous oversight. I hope the developers will remove this feature because it is literally app ruining
The problem isn't that I scroll, I scroll to avoid my life. The problem is that I want to avoid my life. Taking away the means of doing that; just leaves me feeling hollow and frustrated.
why won't it let me open the app? I've granted permission to access some apps to be able to block them but I don't want to have to go through hundreds of these apps ticking permission allowed to just us use it for Facebook and Instagram and YouTube. I was using this app years ago and I don't remember it being this awkward to set up? please help :)
Worked great until it didn't, just randomly stopped blocking apps I had set it to block. No change in permissions, ScreenZen was up to date and was still running in the background, just wasn't working anymore. When it was functioning it was a great help for my executive dysfunction and dopamine hunting, so for those who also struggle with these things I'll still recommend it! Just be aware it can stop working at random.
Worked amazingly for a single day, then just stopped working. Gave me a hint of an amazing app but there's no point in blocking stuff if it just randomly stops working at random times
I really liked this app. But, opening a watched app with a link to a specific page I am sent to the app home side, after unlock. If this is from a notification I also lost the notification so cannot repeat. Lately this happens when unlocking after timer unlock, causing me to loose my current reading position. I am forced to disable this app for now and if this problem is not fixed I will have to uninstall and find another app, lowering my grade to the lowest, unfortunately.
It's great... when it actually works. It's always able to block any apps I have set, but when it comes to websites it barely works, desite taking all the right steps. Often when reinstalling the app it will work again for a couple of hours, before stopping with blocking any websites, which is ashame as most of what I try to limit or block are websites. Edit: Even after the lastest update that claims to fix firefox website blocking, I still have this issue.
