Update: I've tried again today and the 21st June. So I've installed the app to give it another chance and the same problem. If I'm really lucky I'll get the same generic response from Screwfix that achieves nothing. The app worked fine until the weekend but now it won't allow me to log in. I press sign in and it just comes back to sign in again. It tried the registration instead and the same thing happened. Come on Screwfix sort it out, a couple of other users have said the same.
Used to work but not anymore. Refuses to load, when it eventually does it's glitchy. Not great when you're in a rush. Worse when they want you to use the app and they incentivise it. Developers need to pull their fingers out.

Google (36), Braze (19) and Optimizely (9) attempting to harvest my personal data via your Screwfix App, the number in the brackets is the number of personal identifiers your allow them to access, Is this a breach of UK GDPR guidelines? Can app users opt out of this to stop there data being gathered without there consent?

This app is beyond a joke. no matter what device I try it on it takes forever to open to the home screen. I've reported this before but dev never responds and doesn't obviously care. I need this quick as I'm working and need supplies. I think it's probably quicker to visit the store to than use the app sometimes. Absolutely awful.

PREVIOUS REVIEW It's utterly stupid that you can't cancel an order you've made for collection through the app. You still have to literally drive to the store to cancel it. It wouldn't be so bad if you could swap it to a different store. But you can't do that either.
Used to work reasonably well but after upgrading my phone to a much newer model I've been unable to login. It takes me to the login page via my own browser, I log in, get redirected to the app, and once it loads it prompts me to log in again. I have tried several times, and just keep going round in circles. Useless as I cannot actually order anything through the app now as I can't log in.

This is a review of the app, not Screwfix. When a Google search forwards search requests to the App, rather than the Screwfix website, both the performance and the selection capabilities are awful. Screwfix generally though, are great
checkout failed pay takenSlow to open and hard to navigate vs the website. For example, I want lights under my kitchen cupboards, so search worktop lights. Hmmm. Worktops? Oh, there's 1 there, I'll click on that and then go to the category... on the website yes, on the app no. To compound this issue, you cannot browse the website without the app opening up. Additionally, their kitchen ceiling paint went up 33%, now that is inflation at work. 17.99 to 23.99. Less sales, just steady prices please.

won't go beyond the loading content screen.
The app just sits on the loading screen and won't load. Uninstalled reinstalled, cleaned storage just won't work.
Why doesn't it show you availabile qty BEFORE you click on the item
Couldn't cancel order easily via the app. It ought to be an option on your order page. After following the complicated route to cancellation, it then wouldn't allow me to screenshot it. Absolutely no acceptable reason for an app like this to not allow screenshots. Will uninstall as soon as my order is refunded,
Great app but the discount for first time users doesn't work on the Samsung fold 3. Wouldn't paste the code so tried to type it in and still wouldn't accept it. Had to use the wife's s21 ultra phone and worked straight away. Thinking I'll probably run into the same issue in the future.
Have been using for a while. Can no longer get the rewards. Have uninstalled a couple of times still not working.
can't delete from the basket since the last update, also doesn't always add products either. buggy.
stores are good but the rewards are practically useless. make it so we can spend the points for money off anything in-store, not just £10 voucher on a £200+ spend what's the point
I am unable to gain points due to an app issue.
sprint section is horrible to deal with. a lot of the items are in stock, but it doesn't allow you order for sprint even if you speak to customer services. and the sprint section doesn't let you use your location to choose an address for delivery. take a leaf from the Toolstation app, as that allows you to switch from click and collect to sprint delivery at checkout in a single click, and vice versa. with Screwfix, you have to delete your whole basket to go back to click n collect, & vice versa
Terrible app. Constantly have to log in and it's a lottery if it accepts the login. more hassle than it's worth.
Problem to sign in.
Unable to log into the app. I enter my details, and it says it is emailing me a code. The code never arrives. Logging into the app was never a problem before. I can't even log in on the website as the same thing happens. Screwfix need to sort this!
used to work fine - but over last few weeks stuck on loading contents - phone is Samsung a53 updated latest operating system etc - keep reverting to buying from toolstation instead - would prefer if screwfix sort out the app please - still same issue May 2026
the rewards dont work i have updated several times uninstalled and re installed still won't work
still has the anoying feature of asking for my location even when trying to check out plus I noticed a plumbing item was 42p as a search result and strangely 50p when in my basket ? Is that wht they want my location to charge more ?

The app would not allow me to log in for several weeks. Login is now working again, but I cannot get past the payment selection screen to complete an order. Android user. The website works, but the app does not.
app was amazing. for some reason I can't get rewards anymore. it just says update app. I've uninstalled it and downloaded it 3 times now. it still doesn't work!!!
The app is so slow and clunky
slow to load and glitchy, using the web site is so much easier than the app
Blocks me from using it while abroad (while my fitter is installing my bathroom) so had to uninstall
