Unsafe to limit the number of blocked profile to 100, this should be unlimited because I live in a Muslim area. Apart from this, stalkers can create multiple profiles.
so I finally gave in and paid for full membership thinking it would stop all of the ads from reaching me. not so. you still get a ton of solicitations for prep and other useless advertisements in your inbox. what part of no advertisements don't they understand for paid membership?

ah yes. just another app loaded with fake profiles and can't search by location radius (getting so effing tired of that. I only get on dating apps for local. stop FORCING people to a 100mi radius) and you're limited on the number of profiles you can view (even if you can't tell how many people are actually within reasonable range) before having to pay. update 2026: still abysmal waste of an app.
poor security & safety. I have had romance scammers with fake profiles which try to scam me. I've reported 3x fake profiles & Scruff did not remove them so the scammer continues to send me scam romance messages. Scruff, where you should be stamping out scams & improving security scruff do the opposite. Logging out of scruff in the latest android version is not possible so I can't have peace from notifications and messages. the only way to log out is to uninstall Scruff completely, this is poor

you get an alert and just not a message or a woof, it's a damn "moment" bs. just a pop up ad for scruff from scruff.
I'd give the app negative stars but there's no number low enough. These "people" have repeatedly suspended my account for absolutely no legitimate reason. They also refuse to acknowledge my emails as to why. Overall they are not interested in being open and a safe zone. It's a scam.

when does the "turn off moments" feature get added?
messages disappear and photos lockout unless you pay PRO plan ranges from $20 monthly to $13 weekly. If a member sends photos they lock out after a few messages and you don't know who you're talking with any longer once you log back in. Either make verified face photos mandatory or stop locking out photo views. This feature is unsafe from a user viewpoint. APP NOT RECOMMENDED AT THIS TIME.
I decided to try Scruff since Grindr has become so unusable. I tried Scruff because it was the most recommended alternative, but in reality it's just as bad as Grindr. It only took a few minutes of checking out the settings and features to realise it's equally as restrictive, just in slightly different ways. Everything you need to effectively use the app for connections is kept behind a pay wall. Unfortunately, the era of reasonably good dating apps is gone... probably forever.
it's become just an instagram of knob pics... you won't get any sort of connection here.

Esta es la segunda peor plataforma después de Grindr!!!! cobran suscripción para todo! y luego sus usuarios no hablan, los únicos que tienen actividad son los bots o actores que se dedican a hacer contenido para la plataforma solo para que no muera en el olvido. Es un asco! y luego peor te limitan los bloqueos. Te cobran por bloquear usuarios sin cerebro. Ni pierdan su tiempo vayamos a otra plataforma orientada a los HSH.
Just like most other dating apps... Most people that messaged me were way out of my age range or were too far away. I noticed the app get worse and worse with every update. Blurring out messages and stuff so you can't even remember what you were talking about a few days ago. Most things are now paywalled and you're not guaranteed any good results. As a younger guy, I want to find people my own age. Most of the time I got thirsty older men twice my age. Not recommended for younger guys.
If you're single this is not the app for you. Vast majority are married, partnered, closeted or are in open sex relationships.
UI sucks. the free features are worthless. lots of ads on screen

I had an issue with the match.....it was showing me ppl thousand of kms away instead of local. I pay for the app....asked the question .....and Veronica.....a woman replied saying oh well......disgusting Scruff. call to arms friends Down with Scruff there is better apps put there!!
So in defending myself, I had my profile, suspended! So, rejecting, & reporting abuse, means, that they get to abuse others, & I get blocked! Never mind, I'll just delete this inept app! So, do I have to delete this bogus app?!
I thought Grindr was money grabbing. On the free version you can't filter by anything but community, can't share albums, and can only share your 2 most recent photos. On the positive, I like that you can set up partners and link them to your profile and I like the "interested" matching. A new low. Hiding chat history behind a paywall is absolutely mental.
Not a friendly site to find a quality date. Highly recommend looking elsewhere. App is full of guys with personal issues and couples; very few quality singles with good attitudes. Most never meet or will ghost you. This appears to be where guys go when they don't fit in anywhere else.

This app won't let you block people unless you pay money. I used to pay for it, but decided to stop paying to save money. Well I've had a guy harass me on here for days, sending message after message, and when I try to block him, Scruff tells me I have to pay them money or I can't block. That's right, folks. If you're getting harassed on this application, you have to pay money to scruff for it to stop.

not much happening here. few profiles even in big cities. don't subscribe to pro account, not worth it.
100% useless. 'Enable location services' (already have), click on it to check and it's set to the highest level of permission but my grid still won't populate. Really small user base where I am in a decent-sized western European city; been majority the same faces on my grid for past 10+ years.

I contact support about a group hacking harassing and stealing from me and they do nothing but you ask the people with multi profiles to stop they play dumb and make jokes. then make comment hows mmeeting people internet issues and oh no ine where you are. well will it be a joke as i gave requested legal support as no support was provided.

hostile and discriminatory. received several "warnings" that their own support team said were "unfounded" and told me to ignore them. 4 days after my account renewed for 3 months they permanently suspended me
