I have always printed through the app, but something is off and it is a piece of junk now. Can't connect nor print. very disappointed.

Edit: 6/4/2026 - After the last update, I'm unable to connect to my QX20. Currently just a sad paperweight longing for another update to restore connection. Great quality due to multi-pass printing. I like the option of square or rectangular prints. Sticky back paper works well for my journaling applications, but can also just be used as a regular print. The printing app is easy to use. I do use another photo editing app, only because I've used it for years, and mainly use the app for printing.

Previous versions of the cannon could connect the QX20 seamlessly. Somehow a new app occurred i did not change any password. Wifi to connect this QX20 permanently disabled. RESET all over network WiFi app etc. NON WORKS. im not the only Qx20 users facing these issues.

Doesn't work properly. It makes me download another app which cannot find my printer. Too many apps and they're not fit for older printers. I'm trying to use the Canon SELPHY Compact Photo Printer SELPHY CP1300. I cannot print:/

Please fix the share from Google Photos to SELPHY Photo Layout bug. It is very inconvenient to have to download photos onto my phone first. I thought it was supposed to support this when I bought the printer.

Horrible thing. Can't be used for it's intended purpose. Absolutely refuses to be used to print from phone. Only way to make it work was by installing Mopria app completely bypassing this Selphy app entirely.
doesn't work well with WiFi.
no option to print directly from Google photos, so you can only print recent photos which are physically loaded on to your device. this limits an otherwise good app
You can't have more than one phone connected to it. I share this printer with someone else which means I had to factory reset it to get it to connect to my phone (which it has 0 indication about having to do) which means he's gonna have to do that again to get it to work with his phone when he wants to use it next
The bookmark layout is no longer available, which is disappointing. The app now offers a different layout option, but it doesn't function the same way. The original bookmark layout was much more practical- it accounted for the spacing between the two columns and included a helpful cutting guide line, making it easy to neatly split the photo paper in half. The new layout lacks these thoughtful details, making the process less convenient overall.
App works Getting a new phone to register to the printed is a fuss and a confusion and such much hassle. Because the instructions are not clear!
