Seren - An Ally That Gets You

One persona is too upbeat, exclamation points after everything, and the other is just mean. I've found normal Claude to be a much better listener than either.

This app has a great interface and the character "Serene" is a nice touch. However, the message limit is far too restrictive. Even with the monthly "pro" plan, the 80-message-per-day cap is easily reached, after which the service is cut off unless you pay more. The "3-day trial" also ended in less than a day due to the low message limit. The cost is not justified for such a limited service. Increasing the message limit would make this a much better value.

changed my review to 1 star. the app got really buggy. disappearing messages in the chat and delayed responses. even after I reinstalled the app it didn't help. I deleted my account and data to start fresh and it gave me a 403 error code so I couldn't even use the subscription until the date I paid for. I hope I get a refund from Google and I'm very disappointed because the app was good until it became buggy.

they shouldn't let me sign up first then ask for subscription, do let me know if the app is free or not beforehand

blocks devices without google play services, which is most chinese devices. i cannot use this app as the developer blocks people like me from their service. your money is better spent elsewhere

please stop flooding the play store with generic LLMs

The app can be very helpful depending on the specific kinds of support you need, it has definitely helped me in some ways. But in my experience it is also prone to becoming horribly emotionally abusive (particularly the Seren model). Seren is a terrifyingly good gaslighter. Auren and Seren together end up playing emotional good cop bad cop on you. So even though i had some positive experiences with the app, I have to give it one star for its potential to inflict actual emotional harm.

Not sure what it is adding over a regular ChatGPT, didn't see anything that justifies the cost.

seems like a cool idea, but I tried using the voice chat feature and it stopped working with no feedback after a few messages
