I was given a payment schedule with set totals with my bank card info i just gave. Today's my 1st payment, im assuming it's auto, and everything is good since I added and used my bank card for purchase. But I was charged late fee.
Scam. Very misleading. They told me I had a certain amount to spend. When everything was complete, repayment dates set and everything, all of a sudden I get an email saying that they couldn't approve the purchase because I didn't opt in for the Premium subscription. So now I have to cancel an Amazon order because THEY canceled the temp card. They never made it clear that joining the Premium was mandatory. Uninstalling. Waste of time. Just use Afterpay.

if you fall on hard times and need to pay back sezzle dont. because if you miss at least a few weeks of payments. you'll still expected to make those payments but what they dont tell you is, they dont accept you back into the sezzle app. don't eve. pay it back, just let it hit collections and file bankrupt

To people thinking about using this. Don't, use Zip. Significantly better, Sezzle likes to screw you over. Wanna reschedule the payment because your paycheck falls on a different date? 15$ fee, late by 2 hours that it tries to draw from your bank because your paycheck hasn't hit yet? Drop spending power by 70%. Haven't bought anything because they screwed you over? "We reviewed your account and increased it by 100$" Don't fall for it, use Zip. 2$ fee for rescheduling, very understanding if late.
It is very, VERY slow to load anything in it.

They have resorted to false advertising where they tell you you have a credit, but when you try to use it you get a text saying you need a premium plan to use the credit. KEEP AWAY
nope. don't. I was awarded $400 in spending power. I attempted 1 purchase, they chopped my order in to multiple orders, charging MY credit card MULTIPLE times today, and now being declined due to 'suspicious activity'. of course.It will take days for the app to return the money to my personal card, customer service made some lame excuses. I don't recommend.

Deleted the app as soon as I realized there is a monthly subscription at all. With apps like Zip and Paypal being free, Sezzle asking for a subscription is beyond ridiculous. Zip is totally free, usable anywhere, offers a free physical card and even raises your spending limit based on every 5 purchases you complete. This app is a con. Zip has NEVER denied a payment plan and also offers a pay in 8 option now. Screw Sezzle.
doesn't work.. now yall have my card information and doesn't show me my card as a payment method?? but I typed all my info in and it told me that it will be saved but I don't see it.. let me get a random charge on my card and it's over.. yes this is a T. take it as one and remove my information.

I wouldn't give this app any stars! So so so many better apps! This is a scam that charges you late fees of more than your payment and failed payment fees. I thought they would take it out of my account! I got charged 6.95 extra and my payment was only 8.74! Use Affirm, Afterpay etc.
they want you to pay a monthly fee to make purchases, garbage. stick with klarna, zip pay or affirm.
This company will steal your money from you in the form of made up fees and offer no customer service. Affrim and Paypal do exactly what this company does without the shady charges. if you do business with these people you might as well just give your credit card to a homeless person. actually the homeless person might do less damage
scan company signed up for a plan for paying for put it up to pay with a card which said it was fine but then it started to charge me late fees I noticed because it wanted me to put a bank account in which would never told me I'm trying to contact them but no one will reach back to me this is a complete scam company

It's a huge help, and great option for restarting credit. Edit: 5/03/2026 I'm very disappointed. I can't use it without a sezzle Anywhere subscription. They helped rebuild my credit, but I'm not signing up for a monthly subscription plan. I don't use them enough for it to be useful.
DO NOT USE. THEY GIVE YOU HIGHER SPENDING AMOUNTS. BUT WHEN YOU ACTUALLY TRY TO GO TO USE IT THAT AMOUNT STARTS DROPPING AS YOU TRY TO PAY AN THEN FRAUD DETECTION HITS AN SLOWS THE PROCESS TO PAY. BY THE TIME TO TRY TO BUY THE PRODUCT OR WHAT EVER YOUR TRYING TO PURCHASE YOUR SPENDING AMOUNTS HAS GOTTEN DOWN TO MAYBE A FEW HUNDRED. AND THEN THE NEXT DAY BE READY YOU PHONE WILL BE RINGING LIKE CRAZY ....NON STOP SPAM CALLERS AN EXTENDED CAR WARRANTIES.
I was notified that I had received a promotional amount of Sezzle spend that was specifically for Amazon. Every time I tried to use it, it kept trying to force me to upgrade to a paid subscription. This seems like a scam. Will most likely uninstall.

do not use, requires membership to use. you have to pay for the premium membership to shop at stores like Amazon. just use ZIP, save the money plus you can shop anywhere.
signed in to use the sezzle spend I got in my email the other day, and EVERYTHING was locked behind a subscription paywall. never had that happen before. sezzle lost a long time customer today, good job.
KEEP AWAY FROM SEZZLE BNPL apps go with affirm and klarna now i remember y I hated this app. bcuz their availability for customer service support is zilch. they do not process refunds according to what their policies are stating. you might get a refund in 30 days to a year. MOST definitely NOT 1 to 7 business days. the best way to recoup your refund is to dispute the charges with your bank.
Used to be able to use ANYWHERE back in the day, with no monthly fee. Then they started charging $9.99/month for premium so you could use it at the most common stores, like Walmart, Target, Amazon etc. Now they charge even more a month if you wanna use it anywhere. It is by far the worst BNPL option. I'd highly recommend going with Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay & Zip. Even PayPal offers pay in 4. All have no subscription fee & are way better/more consumer focused. Closed Account & Deleted Sezzle!
sezzle spend requires a subscription to use. This is false advertising, especially because they make you think your getting the amount for free.
found somebody using my my peraonal info on the app, amd when company was contacted about stolen info there was no help or anything, just back and forth with the same email several times.
UPDATE: IT GOT WORSE. THEY DID IT TO ME AGAIN WITH NO EXPLANATION OR HELP. I PAY ON TIME AND I AM PENALIZED FOR IT. THIS IS TOTAL BS. DISAPPOINTED. NO HELP. I had a $500 limit. My account is in good standing. I pay everything on time. Then my limit stops to $350 with no reason. I speak to customer service and they can't tell me why and a manage isn't available but will possibly reach out in 2 days. I am super disappointed in the lack of reasons and the lack of customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Yesterday, I ordered an item from RockAuto(Wednesday April 29 2026). The order is still in limbo because it's showing pending and waiting for the merchant to confirm. I contacted the customer service and they are telling me to contact the merchant. What a pathetic service!!!. Uninstalling Sezzle.
I had no problem paying the service fee I liked this app a lot but now it is forcing me into a subscription I do not want in order to make any purchases. It was good while it lasted.
This is the worst app and business I've ever seen. I had a spending limit of 1010.00. I have never been late with a payment. On April 22nd I went to the app to make a grocery order and found out my limit was decreased to around 650. Now on April 26 my limit was decreased to a little over 200.00. And now they have made it where I can't reload the sezzle balance to make my payments. Unbelievable.

SCAM SCAM SCAM took me a bit to figure it out... since linking my sezzle account to my bank and Amazon account, my bank has been overdrafted then refunded random transactions (usually between $10 and $40 charges) last edit to update: after talking to my bank, its not even just my card, i have to close my entire account and start a complete new one, affecting my direct deposit and ALL my autopay setups
Please dont use this app I have been a customer with this company for over a year so sezzle give me a $40 credit to use with amazon. Once I used the credit it was declined by amazon and sezzle states they have no record of the credit they sent me an email for.
I have been a customer with this app for two years and have always been able to use the temporary virtual card. now I'm being forced into a subscription! do not waste your time. After discussing this with their team. the conclusion is yes, you will be forced into a subscription.
DONT DO IT!!!careful with auto pays. Direct bank only otherwise they will charge you with a "late save fee" without even warning you if use debit card. To even set up a bank account officially you have to wait 3-5 days for a micro deposit to happen, that is the trap. You give it time and forget about it and than your stuck with fees even though a debit card is suppose to be as good as cash. Sezzle is set up in a way that you will end up with fees one way or another.
Keeps telling me I've got an invalid code error. Not worth the bother if it doesn't work.
Can't get approved even if you pay all your stuff. They are trash!! I wish I could give them zero stars!!
