The in-game economy has become much worse than in the original game, which was one of its main selling points. The game has terrible performance on mobile devices and has constant server issues. Monetization is significantly more aggressive. To top it of, balance is still questionable, and card design has become way too bland. As a Shadowverse fan for a decade, this game is insulting.

the game play is fine just like the OG but my problem with this game is the economy cygame's have and will never learn

crazy how much worse this is compared to shadowverse, & then they kill that game so you're forced to play the inferior sequel with a fraction of the cards, half of which are useless, enjoy losing to meta if you don't spend money on cards, cygames is somehow worse than hoyo when it comes to games that aren't granblue, uma musume, garbage because no pulls, & it's card collecting, characters are useless, neither of these games will survive long term with their monetization

I play this game since day 1. I can say this game has a stupidest GM in the world. Stupid Balance. Stupid thought. It has alot of cheat card and GM didn't do anything about that and let it broke a game. If you want to happy in life just play another game. gameplay is good but GM is stupid. It has 6 main clan and 1 sub but when you play. you will face 1 clan with alot of cheat card and you can't do anything. and just the same. GM didn't do anything. this game will die soon. alot of player leaving
total BS it's so hard to acquire valis and the game is actively trying to make sure you don't get Vails they literally made trail card's that you can't liqufy to make sure you don't get additional Vails they don't let dismantle the cards you don't need.they nerfed my abyss craft the one time it was mea overall trash game

this game connection issues have been an issue since launch. it makes me wonder if cygames actually cares to fix it. I been kicked out of my game over ten times just today. it completely ruins the vibe of this game. please fix your latency issues.
The community still playing is purely Japanese. Connection issues, lack of social interaction, and matchmaking against whales is a daily occurrence. A big part of the F2P gains require you to do stuff in the park with friends/guilds. Good luck doing that when the server is empty and the guilds recruiting are looking for Japanese players. As far as the English side goes, this game is done.

Nerf that nobrain Abysscraft deck please
Abysscraft in most recent expansion is toxic. Also genuinely a card game that does not respect you as a new player. you should not have to spend weeks scrubbing away in order to play a single deck that you like off a fresh account. Anyone who "Um acktually its not that bad overtime, I actually have 35k vials and every card ftp" misses the point by a mile as they are high on copium in a game they have invested so much time into. I will be surprised if this game ever has broadly positive reviews
I hate when the game freezes mid battle where you can't do anything but restart the game and then... you're turn is out oppsie why on earth are you playing on mobile in the first place that's you're fault. Stop antagonizing the big company over here.

0 stars, cygames become so greedy just like RIOT games, 40 free card pack cant get lucky chest, and cant be liquified to create new cards. old card boom sky no play play anymore. new cards not balance. if u invest on this piece of sheets, 3 more years game will shut down. worst ever cygames' game ever created.

Free card packs a day is nice, but don't add to pity, and additional card packs are expensive. The Cash shop items are very expensive, and the "10 pull for goodies" promotion is badly texted, and requiring you to spend hundreds of £/$ for a card skin. Bring back the original game. This sequel is awful. Yeesh!

I withdrew my opinion for 5 stars. This has happened many times, where there are connection problems, even though my connection is stable, but when I want to enter the game, my connection is considered to be problematic... the result? I lost the match This didn't happen once, it happened many times.. even if I count, it's been around 50 or even more.
bad matchmaking p2w game
it is a decent fun game but honestly it's impossible to win after beginner rank, I was constantly getting paired with higher rank people and was getting butchered every game and I'm cool with losing a game but going on a 20 lose streak is honestly ridiculous, also the fact you packs cost 500, and the fact that you can't dismantle cards unless you have 3 copies is so stupid, the og shadowverse game just let you dismantle any card you wanted to which helped build decks way easier, this game is bad

while I still like playing this version of shadowverse I think the cost to buy packs has inflated drastically and the free daily pack doesn't do enough to offset the increase in pack pricing please do something to help it so deckbuilding can be more accessible, also why does it feel like Eddie is just so rng based to win i get we dont have to but its so irritating
Game feels bad and greedy. Abyss feels significantly worse than Blood or Shadow in SV1. Non-BP cosmetics are ludicrously expensive, especially for collabs, and it's nearing a year without even completing the stories for the 7 classes. The jump from 100 to 500 gold per pack made the F2P experience feel awful. Disappointing sequel, and even more disappointing that they're shutting down SV1. Your time is better spent elsewhere, since this will likely face a similar shutdown when SV3 launches.
idk why liquifying cards have been limited to only the extras. I should be able to get rid of any cards I want in exchange for the vials. Or why BloodCraft was mixed in to ShadowCraft. This only limits the amount of focus and support for all the sub archetypes. the super evolution is also really annoying with how they don't receive clash damage if they have the advantage in it. Overall dissatisfied with it. The original didn't really need a sequel. this feels like an overwatch 2 situation.
Cannot recommend this game. The story mode is exactly that - text upon text with little to no gameplay. Tried multiple times to do an Unranked battle, and got timed out every time. No one's playing at the Beginner level, and I don't gain anything from battling the computer - especially not when I set the encounter, thus knowing what I'd be facing. The general consensus I've seen from long standing fans is that this game has fallen from what it was. Honestly, don't bother; I wasted my time.
As a fairly active player (who did purchase the battle pass), I can craft any competitive deck. When comparing this to Shadowverse Classic (with over 8k ranked games won), I wanted to touch on the gameplay experience. Assuming both players are competent with their respective decks, several scenarios devolve to "better have it" with little room for player agency. This is a consequence of implementing high-power cards that house most of a deck's functionality and impact.
The game had a serious balancing issue. Some cards are just so bad, and some could be good but later on end up getting nerf and essentially become unplayable. Building a deck is also ridiculously slow, with how everything becomes so expensive. Dungeon Crawl also had a ridiculously bad boons pool. If a class had way too many deck variations, you almost would never get the boon that suits you, which makes the games unfair since the enemies had a perfect boon for their own build.
i like this game i really do. but this game is too hard on me and some players who became toxic made this game too hard on people and some told them to delete the game such as made new people to gave up play this game. this game made people aggressive.
you have to grind for WEEKS to get good cards. which means you're forced to either pay money, play vs ai for weeks to earn cards, or constantly lose to players. not fun
The prices on card packs and cosmetics is insane. I get it, cash has to be made somehow, but to start forcing players to abandon SV1 because of the monetization model there and force them to play this expensive, laggy, and not-so-cooperative UI is a slap to the face of a lot of Shadowverse faithfuls. Hard pass, not sorry.

Can't play the game at all. Constant lag issues, game always crashing, and don't even get me started on how trash the crafting system is at least on the old Shadowverse you could get rid of a card you didn't want to pull. Game crashing makes mulligans impossible so constantly costing games, just lost 8 in a row because of this and got cheated out of stage two group A in arena cup. And the fact you're getting rid of old Shadowverse and sticking with this piece of garbage? Lost all faith in this.
pay to win garbage
crashes sometimes i match against someone, limiting liquidation of cards so that you must at minimum 3 cards of each, making creating decks difficult and expensive. they also remove sv1 temporary card, and they also limit temporary decks not even having 1 tempo deck per class each patch. and lastly the monetization is horrendous expensive card alt, 500 rupees per pack 5 times more expensive than sv1, battle pass not having free card alt anymore and much lower chance for getting leader.
My account had really rare content including a skin with an extremely low drop chance, and suddenly one day I get forcefully logged out and cant get back in. I contact support and they say that they can't do anything unless I had spent money on the game and can provide a receipt. My account name, IP address, device info, Google play, specific details only I could know had 0 effect, they demanded proof of money and then stopped replying when I said I was f2p Bizarre experience. The game is ok.
I miss a single player campaign mode here. Would be great to go through all the stories using cards, not just read them.
ok cool style and so interesting changes but the balance is screwed, if your running a card game balance is ridiculously important, in this case portalcraft is too powerful and board state means nothing most of the time, evolve and super evolve often end up being pointless after one turn so your best creatures are only your best for one turn then they mean nothing.
