Had a reservation for the Sixt on Taylor Street in Fort Worth. The website clearly states if you're using a debit card have ONE of the following: a utility or cable bill, a lease with the same name as the driver license, or a credit card bill in the state. Had a lease agreement with my name and signature on it. I was told that I would also need a utility bill. I have an Internet bill in my name. Not good enough. Wouldn't take my credit statement either. Was told the rules changed. I'm livid.

Whenever someone else makes a booking for you, or the reservation is under a different name or a company, it's impossible to add that booking to the app using the reservation number. The app just shows the error: "Something went wrong." As a result, you can't complete your details in advance and have to fill everything out again at the rental counter, wasting even more time. It's disappointing to see such basic, beginner-level app issues from such a large international company.

I've generally had a good experience using SIXT Share, but I'm disappointed with the lack of transparency regarding the loyalty program. I completed more than 8 trips within the required period and expected to receive the advertised unlock fee waiver benefit. However, I am not getting this loyalty benefit despite this loyalty program still up on the SIXT website under the loyalty program section.

everything about sixt is good however for id verification they partnered with a company that is really low quality. for weeks I could not resolve id issues, it works one day doesn't work another day. sixt says that my id seems verified but somehow this external company blocks me. I see wrong errors like id expired, or I see it's verified and still blocked! @Sixt! find better partner

When I arrived at the airport, I tried to rent a car. It was 350 eruro for a day and I said it was outrageous however I was willing to still rent it. The clerk denied me to rent it. Very unprofessional and plain rude. Terrible experience.

ID verification is some of the worst I have experienced. try scanning your driver's license and Id when out and about and just wanting to rent the car. 10min later, still not recognising. forward. backwards. hold still, go left, backwards, repeat. just let us take a photo or get the live part stable

the app is super slow, the verification process consumed iver 30% of my battery. the whole activation process for sixt share is not working and each time is different. i spent 2 hours in the app trying to verify my identity so i can rent a car, it's impossible. go for otjer platform this is not something that you can resolve in 15 min and go for a ride, this is slow and bad

I honestly don't support the use of ai to make commercials. The app itself isn't very outstanding compared to any other rental apps. The rentals themselves are just as expensive, if not more expensive then other apps I have tried. Not to mention I had to wait for nearly an hour to get my rental.

great app but it is so hard to change a payment method. It must be selectable during each car booking, so somewhere far in the profile. I travel personally and for business and need to use different cards. I paid so many times with the wrong card! update: terrible app, does sign me in. No support contacts. I need to get to the airport and getting late because of it

I was a user of Sixt share which used to work quite well for me. However, one fine day the app randomly asked me to reupload my documents, which I did. It rejected the documents, even though they are as legit as they get and are the same I'd used last time or on any other app. About 30 realistic tried after and calling customer service, I still can't use the app anymore now because of this random upload required that doesn't ever seem to go through right!!

Worst company to rent they smashed and stole things from our van in Italy private parking we had their invursnce for theft and one insurance from booking. They said they are gonna cover it with police report from Italy police all good and we didn't have to pay anything . After 5 months they charged 650 euros with due date in 7 days without saying why insurance not works and they didn't respond to our emails. I won't choose them again 2 times I rented 2 times we had problems.

I used them for my trip to Europe twice during the trip. Both vehicles had 15-20 previous damages on them and were not clean so identifying any additional damages on a dirty black vehicle in a poorly lit garage was difficult. In Germany upon returning the vehicle they stated they found additional damages during our rental, there weren't any, and want to charge us over $1500 for repairs that they will not make. It is a racket to make extra money.

Not happy with charges, they did it again, someone explain why sixt charges double? I had their car for 14 days, at the begining I got the car for 3 days, but I extended the days and paid day by day for 14 days and sixt charged my credit card every day, so I paid those 14 days, total $ 676.96 plus the $200 deposit, so how come when I returned the car the next day sixt charged me again those $676.96?? and when I asked them why they said oh it's a hold but they don't give it back it happened twice

honeslty one of the worst and most confusing processes I've been thru. I went to book a car for today but for some reason the dates were already set for the end of the week and when I went to change it they said there werent any cars available at all in my area for today so I canceled and now $300 of mine are stuck in limbo. come to find out you pay with your credit card or debit with a utility bill oh and the deposit they never mention and never showed up during the payment process

Wow! BUYER BEWARE!! READ THE REVIEWS! Not just the top reviews. Click "see all reviews". Horror story after horror story. Bait&switch. Hidden fees, double charges, add-ons charged when not approved, reservation/deposits taken when driver's license, address, or payment method are not accepted, wasting people's time and ruining travel plans. And horrible customer service with no recourse or help at all when needed No clue how they have such a high rating (4.7~4.8 right now). Search for hertz tips
