It is honestly embarrassing how badly optimised this app is. The subtitles need to be turned on every time you start watching and they are very badly positioned (not to mention full of errors and occasionally the wrong language), fast forwarding and rewinding is clunky and does not work well, after pausing you need to manually press up otherwise the menu won't disappear. On tablet, the app also won't turn horizontal. All this makes Sky seem very unserious and not well cared for.
for years now i've had a grey stripe on top of the screen while using the android app on my tablet. i have uninstalled, reinstalled, googled for solutions, but to no avail. it really breaks the immersion and ruins the experience.

this app works 20% of the time, so I should only have to pay 20% of the subscription fee.
Used to work on my Shield now stopped. App won't even install anymore. Only works in portrait on my tablet.

Die App hängt sich ständig auf.. wenn versucht wird vom smartphone auf einen TV zu streamen, kann man maximal 2 Folgen am stück schauen.. dann hängt sich entweder die App auf im Werbungsteil, oder die Sprache stellt auf den Originalton um. Somit muss die app geschlossen werden, den Werbungsblock erneut angesehen werden bevor eine Neue Folge gestartet werden kann
1) @CHF 20,90 you are my most expensive app. 2) you are still annoying me with commercials 3) you deny me watching while abroad to be not allowing me using a VPN all in all, this is no more acceptable for me.
Absolutely rubbish App & Website. Not worth the subscription, needs more time to get it working than buying an old school DVD, very disappointing. I'll still stick with Netflix.
Horrible app
I purchased the membership for my son to watch a show. Unfortunately, there is no child lock or any possibility to set up a child's profile. This was not communicated clearly before I made the purchase. I am not comfortable letting my 14-year-old have access to the full contet. I find it disappointing.
bad ui, unstable and difficult to navigate
I subscribed for a month on sky, the app was working well, but since yesterday, whenever I try to watch a movie/series on my phone the "keine verbindung zu sky" message pops up. It s always fun to pay the whole price for a product and get only a portion of what you paid.
tl;dr Great content, horrible app. The app is so full of bugs that it's insane! Not even the most basic functionality is working. Can't paus or play with button on headphones, when one episode is done the next one starts to play simultaneously as the previous one, you can't swipe to see notifications without changing volume or brightness, sometimes it skips over several episodes, not possible to tweak video quality which is extremely low, can't download a whole season. The list just goes on!
No filter to remove cinemas movies. Broken as hell! Cast to chromecast works every 20th time. No episode is played without picture or audio issues. Comon Sky! Have you ever used Netflix, Disney or Amazon? Is not that you could not copie it and improve it. But this is just bad. And on the end! Cinemapass????? For 14 year old movies??? EDIT: Unbelivable get even worst... Now you need always to restart the app if just one episode of any series finished. It even can't just autoplay 🤣
App can't start at all.
Be careful when unsubscribing, the site is designed in a way that makes it hard to notice that you're not actually unsubscribed yet. And the Samsung TV app is really bad also.
Just bought the subscription, installed the app and it doesn't work (player always stuck spinning, despite good 5G and wifi connections - I tried both separately). Will edit the review if the problem gets solved but a very disappointing entry for a new customer.
The only reason I even use the app are the HBO shows, because we have no proper alternatives besides pirating them. To put it mildly the app is not optimized and lacks even basic functionalities, like streaming to your TV.
5.1 Surround Setting does output Stereo on the TV
Still no improvements on chromecast compatibility and tracking of progress of episodes. What does Netflix do this so much better and sky can't?
Simply the worst streaming app. If I lock my phone screen the stream to chromcast will freeze, and then it wouldn't proceed to start again. As in ever. You stopped mid episode? Tough luck, you will never have another chance to continue, go watch something else. Absolute joke of an app for this subscription fee. Great that it even has a feature to report a bug... THAT DOESN'T EVEN WORK 😅

Worst app ever, at this point just get a VPN and Netflix don't pay for this app not worth it. It's a scam.

Rarely works, crashes during movies
App has cool content, but the app itself is pretty bad. For one, if you are playing a series, it picks and chooses season/episode as it wants (watching season 2 of a show, it will play a season 6 episode as next). The volume and brightness controls are stupid, because if you want to minimise the screen or check notifications, it alters these first (I prefer to control volume through my headphones). For some reason, if I have the app running with other apps, it controls kusoc of other apps.

The unsubscription page is deliberately designed to keep you in. I failed to complete the "exit survey" and to my surprise it did not consider the resubscription completed. I even created a ticket to get a refund with support, but as they're not legally obligated to refund they don't do it. Classic design to milk as much money as possible out of customers instead of focusing on providing a quality app (the mobile experience is very poor, it can't even keep track of which episode you're on).

Worst sport streaming app and site. Live games hangs and so many errors. Total waste of money but to watch premier league games in Switzerland, you have no other choice. Their app and sites have always been trash. I wish some other site take the streaming rights from sky.

Cannot use the app on android. Once I enter the user and password, I get the error message: no connection to Sky Ticket has been created since days with the support and no update. It is now weeks and no update, and absolutely no solution provided by the support. I'm very disappointed with this. Opened 2 tickets in the last 2 months, and support closed them without any help.
The offline download of series is so slow that every time I take flight, I can not download a single episode within 20min before the flight and have plenty of bandwidth when doing speed tests. Really really poor serving infrastructure sky. Very disappointing. My net promoter score is 1 for sky.
Subtitles are almost in the middle of the screen... Please move them way down, or add a setting to position them wherever we want.

Content is good, app terrible. Doesn't properly save the last episode played, keeps signing out and freezes all the time when using chrome cast.
Well just learned that if you travel you can't even use the app... Don't waste your time on this streaming site. Downloaded almost 6gb of videos to watch on my 8h flight. Just to open the app and see a blank page. What's the point of adding a download button if you can't even use it in airplane mode? Also you're a Swiss app, add frenc and Italian.

Since the update the app crashes every few minutes while watching downloaded episodes and seems to corrupt and delete downloads
pretty terrible app. breaks down frequently. offline content is not available. resume shows does not work. have to login multiple times a week. to the developers: you guys should reconsider moving jobs.
Horrible app, extremely capricious - offline dowbloads may appear available or may not, to launch them take a spinning circle for ages to start playing, ofteb doesn't remember feom where to resume playing, if you were watching offline forget about synching when you back on line, super slow and vulnerable to any actions.

Horrible app, on mobile devices as well as tv. Switching language in general (or even per episode because there is no other way) to English doesn't work properly. Shows do not continue where you stopped them, but start from the beginning again. Controls and pages not as intuitive as for example Netflix. All in all very frustrating. Certainly not good value for money, both the app and the shows that are offered.
