There was a false advertising with this app about the NBA game involving the 76cers & Knicks. it claimed that you can watch the game for free. Then it said to purchase a $5 day pass to watch the game. Not true, once you pay the $5, then they will show you that you have to pay an extra $30-$90 plans to really watch the game.

paid the money and got nothing total rip off
i tried to purchase a day pass to watch the sabres game and this app completely lied to me. now it wants $45. i logged in under where it says watch live after i did a google search. complete bs. just ripped me off $5

Way to many commercials you might as well pay for cable tv
do not use or pay for the subscription when I hit cancel so it didn't automatically renew. it terminated my access immediately even though I should have had it for the full month and they won't refund me. the worst tv experience I've had.
Complete garbage and even worse customer service. DO NOT spend your money on this service unless you want to waste it. Customer Service will lie and tell you that you need services you do not need, and then make it difficult to cancel. NHL playoffs are impossible to watch. They sell you all the packages only to find out you need the day pass.
Bought sling orange to watch the playoffs, and it worked for one game, and now I need sling blue too. Don't waste your time. Just use fubo.

canes fans avoid! supposedly has the espn channel lineup which is the only reason I got it only to find game 1 vs phi isn't on. had to go to fubo now double paying. makes me want to sail the high seas and dispute the charge since they didn't fulfill their end nor offer refunds. be warned and avoid
*Beware* TOTAL SCAM!!!!! I had to learn the hard way and I just lost $50. I bought a subscription to watch the NHL playoffs. I go to the guide and none of the games are even showing as options to watch. Not to mention the DVR feature doesn't work from the very start. I can't record shows and it only shows error messages. Good luck reaching any support. The only option is to chat over text which is a hassle. All they recommended is to wait 48 hours to contact again
says my dvr is unavailable allot, where's my refund for it not working when I want to watch my shows.
Buggy app. Useless customer service. After canceling subscription I have like 2 weeks left in my billing period, but my access to content is revoked. Customers service can even see the billing period in my invoice but they can't enable access or refund because Google play manages subscription. It's their app that is buggy. Frustrating because I couldn't watch the content after paying money for it. Make better apps. Why should your incompetent app and service team cost me money?
Update (5/26) - somehow they found a way to make this a worse app. it is much less user friendly then the original version and even the updates. now when you watch on your phone, you cannot easily change channels. and every time you change a channel, it forces the screen into landscape mode, causing you to twist your phone every time just to go back to portrait mode. it is a pain to use this app just to get the service I'm paying for.
Signed up for Sling TV $5 "special" for 30 days of AMC + I thought. Its a scam they carry only parts of the AMC Plus library. Example : one AMC series called this City is Ours is missing episode 2, 6, 8. Why even bother posting it for viewers. What a ripoff
they sell you a day pass that is limited to minimum channels, so they can charge you more once you sign up for the day pass to see the chan els you actually want to see. stay away, it's a scam.

2026: Deleting my five star review to give one star. I don't know who's trying to destroy Sling, but they're ruining it. No phone support at all. DVR fails frequently, also gets wrong times. The dashboard is a cluttered, useless disaster. The alleged Guide is terrible. The sneaky-Pete increase in prices, accompanied by much worse service and a glitchy app, is going to ruin this once fine device. In brief: it sucks big time. Same with all devices.

I purchased a day pass for an NBA playoff game and it was so choppy, laggy and glitchy. Would not recommend.
half the price, half the quality! you get what you paid for. why can't this app.work right. every day all day loading issues. kick you out than have to watch half a movie. or show. why? you just suck at your job?

too many commercials!!!! i like how its cheaper than xfinity and different variety of channels but its the same constant pharma, fast food, car, or something else, please cut down on the commercials, thank you
got the service, never got my channels, asked for a refund, didn't get the whole thing. jist go with YouTube TV or fubo for fifa.
they let ads run at a higher volume than the shows. it's incredible how in 2026 this 1998 sleek torture hasn't stopped. please stop doing this to us.
disappointing. I got double charged due to Google canceling my subscription because I couldn't confirm in the app. Google says no refund work with the developer. sling is said dev. I've already asked sling for a refund and they said no since you pay through Google, ask google. so someone got about $40 of my money for something they arent providing and canceled themselves. theft....not a good look.
I paid for a day pass just to watch the flyers game and once I paid they said I had to pay for something else even though they advertised that it could be watched with sling day pass
it said my game was on so I got the 1 day pass for 4.99 and I can't get it it says I need to pay 46.00 this is bs
The app will not open
Avoid at all costs -- I bought the "Day Pass" only to find out it was an upsell to a $400 package and I couldn't play anything except ADS until I paid for a subscription. This is the ultimate SDEs-become-CEOs version of evil: They are now charging us to watch only ads.
as of today April 19, 2026 I'm done with looking into something else or go without. your app is wretched and never works. Zero value!

You spin a wheel, you arm points and you're supposed to be able to redeem for credits.It doesn't work. The points are useless.

Update: 4/14/26-- same update bug issue. Could only emsil you as every one of your links had an error message. Costs keeps going up, quality is janky. lot of freezing. Your update has a bug. And all of a sudden I get error messages on my TV. Your Ai automated chat did not help as the suggestions were already done. what next?
Slingtv is a ripoff. its basically junk channels that play the same reruns you can get through an antenna. there's nothing new. Plus, when you sign up they don't say that they use Google pay to take your money. when I initially signed up, I was charged twice on the same day. 2 different charges. no one at sling or Google could find either transaction. had to dispute it with credit card company. I canceled with 15 days, then today I was charged anyway for the more expensive service. frustrating!
Sling programmers again screwed up the app with their latest update. THERE IS NO WAY TO DELETE INDIVIDUAL RECORDINGS ON THE DVR. ONLY OPTION IS delete ALL no more little dots. Though sling works, it is constantly updated and the updates are FULL OF BUGS. Half assed overseas programmers that don't know how to code. FIX IT
