I have used the sling app for many years on Roku. Sling removed the "recent" list which was the list I used all the time to quickly go from one station to another on the stations I watched the most. The favorite list is always sorted alphabetically so quickly finding the station you watch frequently isn't quick and easy. i would have given the original sling app a 5 if it wasn't for this change.
I hate this app it says update the app so I update now it keeps asking me to update it over and over again after I already did it's a ripoff
This app received an update just a few days ago that was too big, and I had to clear out a bunch of stuff to have enough storage to install the update. Here you are with another update requiring even more space. I had since made more space including uninstalling yet another app, but the app wants even more space. Programmers today behave as though everyone has unlimited storage. Please consider clearing out the garbage code and making a more compact and efficient code.

Very disappointing I purchased the service today. I couldn't sign in. I was told it was my internet connection. nope. I am running other apps on the same connection. Before I purchased the service all was fine. Buyer beware!
False Advetisement, they say watch every college game, don't give you any info on games you will be able to watch. Then after you purchase and ask for a refund for misrepresenting what they advertised, nope... it was a promotion so we will keep your money and you don't get to watch what you paid for. Pathetic company! Still a pathetic company. they bait and switch. save your money.

Where are the settings in the sling app, I can't find it anywhere on the app
very bad to navigate. I purchased 2 subscription inside and didn't even know how to use it for 1 hour.

Just downloaded. I try not to complain with free things, but it doesn't work. Crashes during ads, one minute I'm watching the beginning of a movie anf then 10 mins in it jumps to the end. Same with shows and it goes back n forth from start to end. 😔 I want expecting perfect performance but this is just awful 😢

edit: everything else is from 2023. 2026, and app is still completely non-navigatable. Absolute junk. Unusable. As far as trying to cast to your TV from a device, the app is still in development. Can't fast forward, reverse, move further Into the video. I can after about 10 minutes each time of trying to get it to function without getting stuck at the beginning and playing the same ads in a never ending loop. This is a big company?

App freezes ALOT. I'm getting lag and freezing about 4 times a day minimum. after a couple years away from sling. I have come back. original rating was 3 stars. it sucks to see the app issues were never fixed and, in fact, as I see now.... things are worse. removing another star. Cash grab. final grade. they rip you off. customer service is trash if you can even call it customer service. Total garbage app. your better off with a bullet in your head than doing this service
The app glitches and for $20 a month it only allows you to watch on one device at a time!
It's a scam. They promise channels and once you subscribe, none of the channels show up. Save your time and money, stay away from Sling.

In my opinion Sling TV customer service is simply beyond horrible. No phone number to call to speak with a live person. They have a "live chat" option. First AI that is just useless garbage. Then AI refers you to an agent that apparently does not exist. You get a canned message that our agent is overwhelmed with being so busy at this time, let's give you some FAQ which is no help at all. No agent responds apparently ever. Then it just times you out. I will never subscribe to Sling again.
Won't get local sports even with ESPN
I canceled my subscription 2 months ago and money is still being withdrawn from my account. there is no way to get in contact with them. I tried the chat. what a joke. I tried numerous times and they say the same thing every time. that per thier policy i am not eligible for a refund then they dissappear. I am reporting fraud to my bank to get to stop taking money out. I am beyond pissed right now. Just beware everyone
I wanted to watch the NBA finals, instead I got this channel only to find out you're not carrying the game. Great I want my money back...
Warning!!! Just purchased slings day pass, to watch the nba finals game sas vs NYK, as advertised and they are not playing it until its already aired at 1 am!!!!! Do not count on sling tv for sports finals, this company is a scam.

your service regarding dvr recordings is turning into garbage. slowly over the months your dvr feature will be playing a recording, and all of a sudden, service will just drop out. Right now, im staring at my tvs homepage with the last streaming service used.....Sling. WHY??????
app times out and says there's a problem when it's actually working in the background keep having to push the wait button. look for updates couldn't find any so if there are updates they're not easy to find. just sick of fighting garbage apps.

In this day and age, lagging is unacceptable. Watching Brazil vs Morocco, almost towards the end, and it keeps stalling.

I am using the app and it keeps going to dismiss all the time. very irritating.
None of the packages actually give you all the channels you want. If you want to use this service you will need to upgrade your package at least once. You're better off using fubo or YouTubeTV if you watch any sports at all

the app seems very very suspicious it doesn't act of or look like it should I logged a report of course but something's just not right with it you know what I mean Mr developer I think you do I think you do it feels like a beta app with some back door tricks maybe I'm wrong but I got it
