Constantly crashes. When you click on the oven link in the app it won't load the info on that page the app just crashes.
In order to use the app, you have to sacrifice privacy. No thank you.

Edit: The home/away feature of the app is still absolutely broken after a year of ownership. Manually changing the modes doesn't even work.
won't let you connect your washer if you only have a UPD ID
the app loses connection to the washer and dryer, it does not allow me to start, restart or control the machines. Without that control and the loss of connection this app is a waste of data space. Not very smart.
Nightmare to connect devices. Never have a problem with other brand's apps.

Really bad idea
I have been extremely frustrated with this app. I am trying to connect my oven and it has locked up 3 times. It can't find any wifi networks and gives no diagnostics or any information to help figure out what is going on. Update 4-29-26 I did contact GE and found out that only one account can connect to any device and I had to use my wife's login to connect to it. Pretty cheesy, but it worked. Now for some reason it disconnected from the wifi and won't reconnect. Arg! Such a primitive app.

Always reports Opal 2.0 Ice Maker as being off.
Cannot sign in even after email verification and password changes. I used 2 different accounts/ emails in the attempts. Update...the app does not allow you to rescan and change wifi networks. It attempts bluetooth which is only useful a few feet away. Add this required utility to the app. Not everyone buys or uses an Alexa unit.
Cannot set a schedule... continues to rout you to the website for "help". even after you read it app will not allow you to save the schedule, reverting to defaults values. junk
The app is completely worthless. it simply does not work. the positive reviews are fake. if you find a product that uses this app, return the product. the products, like the app, simply don't work.
the app will now connect to my appliances. I logged out and now I can't log back in. I reset my password and it still won't log in.
Can't do no stars, invasive market snoop app that doesn't work. Won't even wait for these shaky false 10kg appliances to fail, dumping them on marketplace and never buying Haier again.
"Set" button doesn't respond when I want to adjust the delay timer on my washer.
This app used to be great for checking how much time was left. It's unusable now as it loads the ads and the rest of the page but the timer part just spins. I can't get any info on my appliances anymore.
Please stop showing pop up ads every time I open the app. I don't care what's new and I don't want to see products you want me to buy every single time I open it. Less ads might speed it up too. This is one of the slowest apps I've ever used. It's also annoying and lazy that you can't see time left without opening the device page. Why not on the home screen? Oh yeah, so you can show me even more ads... I'm guessing when you pass the negative feedback along it all goes straight into the trash.
Don't try and edit your account info, if you do it deletes your account. Put the phone numbrt in incorrectly and have deleted the account twice trying to correct it. h
GE should apologize for this monstrosity. I don't really care if it ever works at this point as long as I can manually control my oven. I wasn't a fan of smart appliances before this, but now I hate them AND GE.
Absolute useless app. Considering returning my new GE appliances for a different brand that has usable tech.

I can only get my washer to stay connected for 1 use each time. Then I spend another 30 minutes removing it and reinstalling it. I will never buy a machine that has features only accessible with an app ever again.

This app is hot garbage. From the abysmally slow IoT device setup to the perpetual black screens in the app, settings that aren't actually settings (saved wifi networks goes to... nowhere and nothing). AI tabs that just get in the way. Devices built with such poor Wi-Fi range you practically need your router sitting on top of the equipment. Not sure why people tolerate this level of design willingly.
Whoever is in charge of making this app simple to connect to app should be fired! So tedious and not user friendly. Second device and same issue of difficulty in connecting appliance.
Okay devs, I don't know how you managed to make it worse with this last update, but you did. Not only does it take almost a minute to simply update what the washer cycle is on if you get out of the app, not close it, just go to another app, now the app does not match what the washer is saying as far as temperature settings or rinse speeds.

The app sees my dryer and sets it up. It then shows the dryer is off when it is on. Try to add the washer and it cannot see the same network extender that the dryer is connected to. I finally uninstalled the app, turned the WiFi off on each appliance and will go back to the old way of life just checking when a cycle is complete. Absolutely worthless and pushes me to never buy a GE appliance. Crazy.
absolutely awful. slow as hell, doesn't open half the time, when it does there's a chance it doesn't even have your appliances. opens up to a "what's new" page every time, except when it opens up directly to the support page. I just want to get straight into the appliances

This app is not functional, I got Hair heat pump. I tried to submit service, product search won't work with any option, also service booking screen goes on circles.
crummy app every network in my home starts with the same name and ends with the band... the band didn't show I have to guess out if 3 different WiFi networks supporting 2.4 AX and the latest wifi7 which network was which. the app barely wanted to pair. just a reason to stay current these appliance companies good for making a stove or microwave have to over complicate the experience for Gen Z and Alpha. look an app it has to be cool. it's all garbage.
Couldn't even add a device because AC was missing from the list . Then I reinstall the app and ended up not being able to log in because it wouldn't recognize my password that I just used to connect. Made another account for test , same thing , couldn't recognize my password. Did "Forget my password" on BOTH account, did not receive a single mail . Just disappointed overall.
I wish this wasn't the software I AMMADETOUSEall the functions on my dryer .... cluncky, oversized on screen, obtrusive, and generally a PITA!!! Have to disconnect and reconnect EACH USE, should be able to blutooth to phone and automatically reconfigure as needed, also WHO USES 2.4GHZ IN 2026??? The receiver module in this expensive Fisher &Paykel dryer is made by GE, ridiculous, so I also have to reconfigure my router to ONLYDO2.4 not 5.0 every single wash day.......RUN ----> don't buy!
Got my new oven on Wednesday. The wifi connection worked great for one day. After updating my appliance the app will no longer connect. It keeps saying my wifi password is wrong and it absolutely is not. I never even got a chance to use the app to control the oven at all.
