Experiencing the app is getting slow to load all the device et all. been using for some time and it was never like this previously.
Serious privacy issues. Won't let you use unless allow continuous nearby device scanning, that's all devices everywhere, and your constant location. Once your device is learned you don't need this. Or any other stupid permissions.

WHAT A GARBAGE APP⚠️ Dev updates have exceeded some devices software capabilities. Needs duel screen 1st half-Map//controller🎮-2nd half that way it can be possible to control device without been in the same room can help disabled people!. Can't remember maps- keeps making corrupted maps. Map keeps mutating itself weirdly. Cannot connect to clock. Options, menus, and instructions do not match.
Widget does not work as expected. Once you click on one short-cut, all short-cuts disappear. this has been ongoing for more than a year
the new update doesnt let me change the colours of my smart bulb anymore.
It barely works, its a constant fight against the UI just to view my security cam footage. The UI auto-snapping to videos, autoplaying with no rewind and lack of a simple 'save whole clip' function is frustrating. The recent addition of ads to the homscreen is abhorrent.

I have the same problem as others are reporting. I've used these bulbs and this app for years, but they're no longer working. I'm giving it another few days before I give up and go with another company.

If you're sick of all the AI bs, Google smartlife apk mirror. Look back to version 7.3.0 and download it. Be sure that auto updates are off in the app store. You'll then need to install apk mirror installer from the app store. Once you download it, follow the prompts to install the smartlife app with the file you downloaded. Once installed, feel free to uninstall the apk mirror installer.
App is beyond obtuse to use, and one cannot change the default notification sound any longer. This is critical because if you're using this with a safety line (Personal Alarm) you cannot change the phone notification/alert to an actual "alarm" like sound. You're stuck with a low/soft sound that gets played once. If you don't hear it, tough.
Bought several smart home devices to get ads in this app?
added a bunch of useless features, can't use the app without it asking me to sign in, if I do and I enter my credentials it says the account already exists, ok then leave me use it??? It's trying to insist on having my location, which it doesn't need. It takes do long to connect to my lights they leave pairing mode before it can connect then comes back saying it couldn't connect. Maybe you could if you hadn't tracked on 3 trillion unnecessary ai features I don't need and won't use. useless

app isn't responding to my touch. I literally cannot do anything on this app. Originally they were great. lately there are too many junk device that ruins the experience of few good ones. strike 1, quantity over quality. the offline control was great and didn't mind share diagnostic and use data to improve, but i hated the constant buggy tablet experience. st 2, where is the improvement. Annying ads that block you from doing something especially when something urgent needs to be done. st3, slow
All my lights used to work, but since they updated the app, none of my bliss lights work. I can't afford to buy new ones right now. :(

I've stopped updating this app, every time I update it, more ads pop up to trying and sell me subscriptions. Total ball ache of an app.
You have ruined "KWS 302WF" smart energy meter by updating the firmware. Now the smartlife app can no longer preview real time data like before. Now there is always remains 10-20sec lag between device display data and app preview
Do yourself a favour and call this app something else. There is nothing smart here look for something else.

Don't waste your money on these products. Bought some of the plugs, difficult to connect new, I had one left over now the app doesn't even recognize it or allow me to connect to it. Went through the process of getting a code that the app says is wrong three times in a row. What a waste of money, GARBAGE!! Spend a bit more and buy a good plug! What is that weird behavior of the app???
The constant UI downgrades are annoying to navigate, and my light bulbs randomly get reset every few days which means I have to manually go in and set each color again for over a dozen bulbs, it's very frustrating. I'll be throwing the bulbs in the trash and being rid of this awful app the moment my new bulbs from a name brand arrive.
great update, I guess they had an update that destroyed my connection. can no longer get to my feeder and have no idea whether he is being fed. I'm contacting Amazon about a new, different feeder. thanks a lot. the software update is so confusing and incorporates so many items it is impossible to use. save your money and get a feeder you can actually control. with one update they turned this from a useful tool to a total piece of junk. sold the feeder for a dollar at a garage sale. good luck!
The accessibility settings after the recent update force you to turn on every time opening the app. it's very very annoying and there's no way to turn off.
Now, all of a sudden, every single time I open this app, I get the "enable accessibility mode" prompt. I DON'T WANT TO! When I enable it, it takes me to a completely different screen with a white background. There's no option for dark mode! When I turn off accessibility mode, it goes back to the normal setup, but when I close the app and open it again, it tells me to enable accessibility mode.👎🏻👎🏻
4/27/26: your latest update now forces me to answer No to accessibility access every single time i open it. please fix this.

Currently running version 6.11.7 and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. I do not like having AI forced on me. Get rid of it and I'll consider updating.
