it's horrible compared to the last app
Terrible app compared to zmodo app. Plus they took away the video clips so you have to pay unless you pay for cloud storage. Looks like after having these cameras for years I'll have to get new ones with a dvr. Funny that I almost bought more camera's, but I'm glad I didn't. Over 10 years I've had these camera's and got 24 hrs. worth of clips the whole time to till recently.
Customer service is awlful. A lot of glitches. Do not reccomend.
04/03/26 Edit: we have not been able to view any of our recorded clips for over a month. This is after almost 1 year of increasing problems with their camera system that never get fixed. Save your money and get something else. This will not help keep you safe. 04/06/26: I was charged 24 hours early for another year of service and they are not refunding.

app won't work at all,since early this morning I heard there is an outage still no solution hasn't been found this is unacceptable, I have a yearly paid subscription for what ? this ridiculous
worst app ever. this is supposed to be an app too monitor your security camera but half the time you can't even log into the app. used to be able to access the live feed through the meshare, funlux, AND zmodo apps But this company in their infinite wisdom decided to block all access to those three apps and only allow you to lose this app which does even have the functionality that the other three do. Don't even bother getting a security camera if it needs to use this app. there's no point.

I bought these cameras (yrs ago) from Zmodo had few connections issues here & there then Smart Eaze update came out & everything went further down hill connection issues happens at least once a week even with live help can't get cameras to connect or stay connected quality of pic is bad & now the cameras are just for looks it looks like i have operational cameras but they don't work so now it time to switch to better product/services ring,blink,hell even roku is better don't buy Zmodo
app is seller based not user friendly. does not sink with funlux it's sister app .probably will return funlux was more friendly and had app storage were this app uoy have to subscribe to a cloud account. I sent picks of the cameras . they said it could install a mem chip. haha there is no slot for a chip. the lowest movement setting is not low enough, a leaf moves and the alarm is triggered. my view it's junk RETURNED UNITS. BOUGHT OUTHER DEVICES THAT SAVE INFO ON UNIT NO SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED
10 bucks to the trash. I bought their plan because I needed to watch a clip, and it's eternally loading, so I can't even see it even after I bought their plan. Detection level is high, even at their minimum level. This is not a good camera app.
Every time I open the app to view the live feed I get a black screen that says Establishing Secure Video Channel. It takes FOREVER to connect & for the live feed to start. It's annoying having to wait to connect & very frustrating not being able to quickly view the feed when needed. Because of this, I'm not impressed with the camera or the app & not pleased with this purchase. Do not recommend this product.
bought this camera with being able to use the 24-hour playback without a subscription. I haven't even been able to look at the current alert without being told i have to subscribe. app also takes a while to load live views. By the time it loads whatever alerted me to look is gone.
I can't watch my cloud playback anymore since the new app/update. It just loads forever. If someone stole off my porch I won't be able to see who it was or when because it'll just show me the loading screen forever. Its really disappointing when the other app worked so much better. Update7/13/25- the app started to work but then the app keeps signing me out and now it won't let me sign back in uninstalled and reinstalled, still can't sign in!! update 10/17/25 - no playback again!
Cannot get camera installed I had to change to 2.4 gHz not 5
only using it because i have to right now. It literally seems like most(80%,,)of the time inactually need to check it for something(stuff missing, seeing who is walking by talking, etc),it seems to always have a problem where it freezes or just plain stops working. update: 10/12/25: actually seems to have gotten worse somehow, now playback is a pian because, since they have changed the interface a little, jumps around on playback, making it very difficult to use.
app no longer lets me playback, have tried clearing data and cache, signing out and back it, reinstalling app and it loads forever, if anything were to happen I couldn't go back and see the playback please fix this

loads slow. the preview of recording sucks. now it won't log me in. the old version was way better. *edit* can't play recordings. just keeps loading. been going on for past month or so. I can only see live. I'll be canceling payment soon.
Can no longer view clips without a paid subscription, rendering all my cameras useless! Original customers should have been 'grandfathered in' instead of being extorted just to use the now non-existent service that we bought into from the beginning. If anyone starts a class action lawsuit, count me in!
cannot play back cloud footage it just shoots to different times and does the same even if i manually select time it jumps to different times
I've tried a thousand different ways but the app will not allow me to create an account. it says my password needs more, and it won't even send a code to my phone
I can't see my alerts they don't open I've had these cameras 5yrs until change over i am having 5 cameras that I can't open alerts.
can not see any of our alerts ,otherwise been working great. update went through the all the steps now you want us to pay to talk to a tech ,no thanks ,we will be looking for new service
piss poor
-5 review. Got two cameras over a month ago just to keep an eye out and all of a sudden, I'm not getting notifications. I have tried everything. Reset everything and mess with all the settings on the camera's and my phone and still nothing. Everything is working just not getting notifications and no help from support but the same damn message on what to do that I have already done 😞. Not happy to spend the money for nothing.

I can't pull clips. I pay for the cloud storage and it won't make a clip for me to download. Says clip failed. I need to use this to give footage to police. plus, your chat for troubleshooting doesn't work.
Bought Zmodo cameras years ago because they were inexpensive and worked great for a long time until this app went mandatory. Willing to look past the price per camera (blinks cheaper) and the fact the cameras I can't afford subs on are useless with blank motion captures, and the fact the "smart" alerts can't tell the difference in a shadow or person (if car is parked in screen, alert is always vehicle). Not looking past paying $50 a year and can't load videos whatsoever in over 2 weeks. I'm done
Used to be able to see some alerts. Now it requires a subscription. No thanks. I bought these cameras so they wouldn't need a subscription, and they switched it to now you need one??? That's a bait and switch. App doesn't work half the time and logs out too.
There are outages on the regular now. With the new update, I'm no longer able to view alerts without paying for a subscription! I've had Zmodo cameras for 8 years now. The MeShare app worked great but isn't compatible with new devices. I've contacted the support support 2x without any response. The only option left to do is purchase new cameras. I will not be purchasing any more Zmodo devices. I would not recommend Zmodo, which uses this app. Spending extra money for quality is recommended.
They have changed for the worst. No longer are you able to see the last 12 hours of video alerts without a subscription. Now I have 6+ cameras that are not good for anything. I already spent all this money for the cameras and cannot use them unless I pay more. That doesn't make sense for the basic ability to see video alerts. They've replaced video alerts with low quality still photo captures. Previously they allowed you to view a 10-second video clip. ⚠Ring did the same, users got paid $5.6M.
not worth the money
Latest update logged me out. I couldn't remember my password, so when I tried to reset it, I got an internet error when trying to get my verification code.
app not working 7-12-25. contacted support, no reply. 7-13-25 still not working
since update cameras won't connect at all waste of money. called customer service no help at all
absolutely awful. as soon as i get a little money, im buying new cameras. these things have been a nightmare since day 1. works when they want to, used to save video clips of motion, now it wants to charge you for everything. doesn't even let you see what the motion was now without having a subscription. 50 percent of the time the things will either go offline randomly or the appt wont even let you log in and it blames a "failed internet connection" which is bs seeing as how im on the internet.
since yesterday this app is Not working???
my system has completely logged me out and when I try to log in it just says internet request failed please try again and it just does this every time and I have 4 cameras running off this app and I can't access any of them now. has anyone else had this problem
was great.... but now it won't let me log in at all!!! I Uninstaller and all and no change!
Cameras worked fine, til today, can't log in to account, none of smartz website, e.g. privacy policy etc, go to a legit website anymore. Made us move from Zmodo to this app & now apparently our cameras are useless!! I have 3 running in my home that are no longer able to use now!!! If only I could give 0 stars! PS yanked them all down & ordered some Roku cameras that will actually display on my TV.
almost everyday im signed out or times out! im about to return these and get something different!
