I have been using Snapseed for a long time. It was simple, straight forward, stable, intuitive, nice looking, refined, just lacked a bit of functionality. Google ruined this product. The look, the feel, the menus, the way the UI functions, destroyed and made inferior. Even the logo has been transformed into some unreadable garbage that looks like it belongs in a kid's classroom. There was no reason to even do it and this isn't better in any way. It's not more modern, it doesn't work better. Why?
Used to be the best free photo editor, but after the recent update, it's ruined, the UI has been changed unnecessarily, it's buggy, the expand feature doesn't work, it's harder to find stuff, and looks childish, I can't understand the logic behind this update.
Used to be really easy to use, now it's just been trashed for no reason in a disgusting update. Don't even bother installing, find another app.

May 2026, Snapseed Redesigned UI update destroyed the good snapseed app.
Your recent "update" is cumbersome and annoying to use. What USED to be quick and easy is now not worth using at all.....
Horrible layout after the update
Wow! Talk about a generic child looking app. I thought my phone had been hacked until I read all the latest reviews. Why do developers mess with a perfect app??? It WAS so user friendly and very easy to use, but now I have to find a new editing app, and I hate that😡. Already uninstalled😤.

couldn't edit like circle area, highlight selected area, and leave note.
with the last update the app looks great, but some tools are broken, like the expand tool. The expand tool is not working though. hope it gets fixed soon because I use it alot
When trying to share an image from my gallery to Snapseed to edit I keep getting a "1 image was skipped" message and it won't open the image in Snapseed. This is the way I have always done it and suddenly it won't work.
Stop messing things up. The one who came up with this update is so bad at making decisions. It's like a toddler alphabet learning app, it was simple and clean before. the thing that pisses me off so much is when you long press after cropping it goes to the original size image why???? I've been loving this app for almost a decade and now I hate opening it

Until the new update it was brilliant. Now its unusable.
Edit: the menu for the existing edits in Snapseed got bugged out. the problem is too shuffling around when I adding more edits to try.

hey snapseed team, long time user of snapseed this side. you guys managed to turn a perfectly fine app into unusable nightmare. are you guys looking at what font you are using. and not just font it used to have a very good ui but now its just non usable so cluttered so weird. i dont who thought its a good idea but seriously try using your app

used to be my go-to editing app because it had all the options i wished other apps had. they did some kind of update and now i cant change the saturation, contrast, brightness etc on my own??? i have to let some bot do it and let it take longer than i could do it to do a worse job than me???? the filters are gone, the menus are huge and obnoxious. the AI push was already peeving me but this is too much.
don't like the new ui . It does not look professional.
in the perspective mode, I move my finger to adjust the perspective now. normally you could take your finger off and press the tick to confirm your your edit now. as soon as you take your finger off, the image goes back to its original state.

4.0 Update tanked the quality of the app. Sometime it's okay to leave apps alone and just work on bug fixes.
A recent update has taken the app from being my go to for on-tablet photo processing to wanting to uninstall. As I can no longer choose the destination folder or assign a file name to images edited in the app it is no longer of practical use to me. This is a pity as it was, until now, the best Android image editing app I have tried.
