For my purposes (listening to music via Sony headphones and Bluetooth enabled speaker), this app seems to be a poorly designed and useless waste of time, energy, and space. I love my Sony headphones, but this app seems to represent the opposite of everything I love about Sony audio. 🙄🤦🏻♂️
Randomly turns on unwanted features. "Speak to chat" randomly turning on is a feature designed exclusively to ruin these headphones.
Speak to Chat activates on my Mark V headphones all the time even though I explicitly disable it again and again in the app.. so annoying
it keeps turning on adaptive sound so I can't sing along to my music which defeats the purpose of having quality headphones. it's infuriating.
Just a waste of space in the phone. Never connects properly
this is one of the most retard app sign in experience ever, try to login, doesn't find passkey, log in using other method give me QR code which I can't scan, click send email which then send me the link to the same login screen all back in a loop, you basically need 2 devices to login.
Noise canceling does not work

After updating my wf-1000xm4 the battery of my buds were totally destroyed, when asked for replacement as it's a software issue service centre people asked me to buy those pods seperately by paying 6k for both which is ridiculous. paying 19k for the buds which didn't even last 2 years of usage. Highly dissaponted with @SonyIndia

SPEAK-TO-CHAT IS TERRIBLY INVASIVE! DISABLE IT AND IT TURNS ITSELF BACK ON! BAD DESIGN. NEED SOFTWARE TO DISABLE IT. TERRIBLE. THEN IT TURNS BACK ON!

my favourite thing about this app is it doesn't matter how many times I've turn off "speak to pause" function, it always managed to turn itself back on. there's really no escape in this ep of black mirror, hey? love it here. PS.26- Now the app has an automatic "turn off when headphones are removed setting" guess how well that's going. I don't know how tech companies have the market cornered when this is the standard for SONY?!!! EFF OFF W/ THE BS AND JUST MAKE A PRODUCT THAT FUNCTIONS, WEIRDOS!
Ambient sound mode turning itself on whenever it wants legitimately drives me insane
worst update! the headphones used to be good but they messed everything up. there is basically no noise cancelling anymore. impossible to use on a plane. like this these headphones are worth 30$ max! edit. headphones (mx4) as well as the app and controls on headphones got worse and worse. these were my last Sony headphones update: it just gets worse. headphone turn silent from outside noises. there were my last sony headphones. the mx2 were great. everything after is horrible.
Awful UI interface, not Android like. Confusing when you have an update and how to activate it, no walk through. Settings tucked under more settings, unnecessary stupid badges. Same technical bugs, headphones don't turn off or power off when not in use, despite the settings being activated. That's two different models which don't do it, though they are supposed to. To be honest you don't need the app to use your headphones and probably better for your phone's battery and location services.

not the magic solution to a problem the reviews might suggest but perhaps really very good if you don't suffer from misophonia as I do.

The looks of the app can be improved and the the options can be a bit more advanced like samsung
I recall this app being good when I first brought my Sony headphones. However, now its mostly utter garbage. The UI is sub optimal and confusing. The EQ is its worst feature only allowing you to set mid range frequencies and nothing below 400hz which is glaring stupidity to make the bass adjustment a separate feature. Sensible people want to set the bass within separate frequency bands. The headphones are great, this app should simply be reverted to what it once was.
Only installed just to update my Sony WH-CH510 just in case of vulnerability to the WhisperPair exploit, turns out my headphones don't support this app. I later found that FastPair is a requirement for the exploit, which my headphones (luckily) don't support, making them immune to the vulnerability. I wouldn't have left this review if there was a notice that said: "The connected Bluetooth headphones are not supported.", but I instead wasted 15 minutes of time. Useful feature: Uninstall app
Always have to reconnect to headphones when opening app back up.

The new 2024 update is very disorienting. The connection drops for strange reasons and it interferes with videos on my computer even when it is not connected. Do better. 2026: The ambient control drops for no reason. There should be a way to fix features like that so it doesn't interfere with my day so much.
