I don't know what they've done. I've used this for at least 10 years at this point. It seems like they've recently moved to a tiered payment system. Because I paid for a year of what was once premium but is now basic I get about 3fps and if I want more I have to pay... I paid for a working app and now I have a pile of trASSh My upload, yes upload at home is 2gbps, and I'm currently getting about 800mbps down on my phone. It's not a me problem.
Splashtop Personal is incredibly frustrating to set up. The whole process feels intentionally confusing and constantly pushes you toward their expensive business version. I paid for the remote access add-on and still couldn’t get it to connect. Once you interact with the business version, it becomes even harder to get the personal version working. It honestly feels like a bait-and-switch. What should be simple turns into a mess of upsells and wasted time. Total waste of money!!

Barely consistently works, constantly saying the computer is never on the same network and wasting my time. I wouldn't even bother looking into a paid version with how incompetently it seems to be made.
just use Google remote desktop

Great app! Had for years now. 5* *Update* so I had to mark it down and change my review after 5 years now keeps sayin not on same network and to pay for a streaming subscription. issue is I'm in the next dam room! on the same network.... trying to push a monthly subscription now? sad as use to be an amazing app *AVOID*
Saying not on the same network though SSID is the same. Any fix? I have been a great fan of the old Splashtop HD
utter garbage, no longer FREE! they SAY it free for personal use, but it is NOT because you HAVE to download the streamer which is NOW Only available in the Paid version!! 🤷 another terrible company that shot itself in the foot 🙄
Great app. No problems so far. Wish they didn't charge for access outside your network, but hey. Edit: Completely useless with Windows 10 and 11. Repeatedly claims the port is not available even though I was just connected minutes earlier. Have to manually reset the port which defeats the purpose of the app. Support says it's a problem with my Windows installation, but reinstalling Windows and Splashtop results in the same behavior.
Patchy navigation and pointer, often need to reconnect several times. Clunky. I'm sure there's better out there.
Constantly unable to connect, so asks to upgrade, knowing full well I'm already on the same network, and that the upgrade wouldn't even work.

Little lag on the same wifi. Very slow on 4g
I have been trying to install. The webpage for the pc is down. ABIT frustrating. So I went to dif app instead.
