it keeps bugging
Works ok. Plays the same ads constantly to drive you nuts in free version in order to drive you to sign up and pay for one of their over priced plans.

When exiting the app it still plays music even when properly exiting the app. I should be surprised that this hasn't been fixed but I am not because Spotify is more worried about the bottom line.

App never loads beyond the splash screen on my Google TV Streamer. Not even reinstalling resolves the issue. I can cast to it but if I can't access my playlist from the TV I probably won't use it.
why does this app keep I mean it's a good app I have it on my phone but this the TV app keeps refreshing and then it won't and then it takes my account off and then I have to wait till Friday to get it back on cuz if I try to connect the phone to the Bluetooth it's just going to it's not connecting

excess ads nowadays.back in my day Spotify used to have unlimited skips and repeat for free,and ads once in a blue moon.now,ads are between every single tracks

it needs a massive ui overhaul. make it look better on android tv. also there should be a video and audio quality options especially when music videos are now a thing on spotify.

They've removed some of the functionality such as starting a song radio. when I go to search, instead of bringing up the keyboard it regularly shows a pop up that says "Use Spotify app to search". this is frustrating because it means I can't search using voice control. it frequently fails to sync progress on the track I playing when I move between devices. if I listen to an audio book and take a break to listen to something else, the audio book disappears from my recently played and I have to go search for it again. another issue stems from. having a few accounts signed into on the chromecast. if my partner is over, we will listen to something on my Spotify account on the chromecast. however when he leaves and puts music on in his car, if I open up Spotify it will have switched over to his account and show me what he's playing, despite him never opening Spotify on his phone while he's here. Now that Spotify are hiking prices again, I'm seriously considering cancelling. I'm not inclined to pay more money for a worse product.
it looks like it doesn't want to work on Android 12 TV anymore. you still work fine but after the other night I cannot get it to actually fully boot on my tv. it just keeps on with that Spotify logo and that's it.
