This app gets 0 stars for me. This is the worst app I've ever used for any of my business after one transaction. I got flagged a security list and my account be activated and now they're holding my money for 90 days over a $1000 without any reason or rhyme to it. Not to mention having the day before completed a security review. Verifying my identity, the owners of this company need to really rethink their security in terms of service.They should have zero right to hold anybody's funds

square isn't a secure operations system for business. despite any convenience it presents.
what eber you do do not get this app thay will charge you and take your money as they force you to make it sit there because of some body's gotta go over your paperwork to see if you're verified of your id.And by the time they finally do decide to verify it, they've taken every dime you got
I literally hate the sight. I use this all last year it showed me tax it showed me everything I'm going into my reports from yesterday it's not showing me the tax line it's saying zero tax even though I know it collected tax I got the squarespace website which I also hate. I regret giving you guys any money and wish I could just be refunded. Your fees are outrageous and just keep going up.
The tap to pay issue has cost me hundreds this past weekend. It's already hard enough to run a homemade candy shop without being crippled by our payment processing software. Will happily revise once fixed. But for now, it's a problem.
worked great for years and on day three of the con all the sudden it stopped doing tap to pay on my pixel 10 phone and no matter how many times I reset everything and reboot the phone it will not work for tap to pay now.
downloaded the app created account and sold first item and then used the debit card to purchase something on my Google pay app and first purchase went through just fine and when I made second purchase it immediately was declined even though I had over $100 dollars in my account I received a notification saying that they were going to close my account and then said I can't make any more purchases and I cant transfer out my remaining funds which I have still $116.00 said I cant withdraw it
when it works it's great. but everyday I have to uninstall and reinstall as it will not connect to phone to enable tap to pay. every single day this happens. I have tried signing out and in but only a complete reinstall works. time consuming and pointless
spent money on a tap device that doesn't work because I'm not a small business and you need so much info you need to know what colour my grandma paints her toenails
New update now I cant use tap to pay keeps saying my network connection is off
my funds are being held after I myself added funds and can't access them for days is beyond inconvenient they say u can access ur funds after 15 mins that is a lie robbery I need my money
app is difficult to navigate and there are many useless menus that are irritating to try to figure out.
absolutely would not recommend this company not even to my worst enemy their customer service showed the highest level of incompetence that I have ever encountered not only that but a blatant disregard for their customers I could not be paid to ever use this company ever again or even advise somebody to use this company enter every square employee out there I hope it rains right after you wash your car for the rest of your life
stay away, I had 385 transactions for my bussiness then one fraudulent customer did a dispute I provided all the evidence showing he signed a contract, sent me text how much he liked the work and commented on pictures I sent. then money is stolen out of my account and all square can say is were just 3rd party it's how the bank operate sorry your money is gone. to top it off I found out the company has used contractors that use square numerous times becuase he can get the work done and money back
Recent updates to how items appear at checkout have left me unable to use Square. I now can't use my Square Terminal or the phone app to check out my customers. Square altered the way items appear inside the app, no warnings, no asking, they just changed the layout with no option to revert or choose how items are displayed. Instead of an item listed as one item on a single row across the entire small screen, now they've created buttons that are only half a screen wide, totally useless to me.

stolen my money. they claim that the issue is concerns of fraud they just are curious about my business. so they decided to withhold paying me over 2k which is a payment from my customer who I am currently dping a bathroom renovation for. this customer has had to loan money to cover the ampunt for the work. this company could have asked her credit card company to ask her if payments were legit. and I had provided them my business account, website and business email showing what my business does

3.25% fee for every transaction? shameful
that once the app pops up on your phone you have no choice but to download it because if your trying to play the game it won't let you until you do now it's not letting me put my complaint in
Tap to Pay failure, it is forcing me to key in the cards after the update. On top of it being extremely annoying the fee is higher for manual entry. If they do not fix this quickly, I am moving to a different processor

Ridiculous. Everyday I log in I have to uninstall the app and reinstall to get it to work. Other wise it just says to reconnect to hardware which is enabled. Started doing this about 4 weeks ago but was perfect before that.
they are a fraud do not use them ...they will not release my funds after the deactivated my account for unknown reasons and saying I won't receive for another month...DO NOT USE THEY ARE FRAUDS...I did that already and I got nothing back so if you could release my funds I would like to end business with you all but holding my funds from me is outrageous especially when u all are the ones closing my account...it would be greatly appreciated IF U COULD GIVEB ME MONEY BACK PLEASE
DONT GET SQUARE I wish I didn't spend time and money getting square. They're greedy and with extrutiatingly bad customer service. They keep raising prices and recently stopped allowing you to just pay for KDS and Kiosk separately, now you have to pay for square plus even tho it's not technically needed, they just want more money out of you. Shows a lack of customer support. It is ALWAYS a headache to work with someone on Square. 7/10 times I end up fixing the issue.
Square app is horrible. of you run a business and have money on the account. your account can be deactivated with no reason and will hold your funds for 120 days or more. this not a good look so be wise when choosing them. this can affect your business at the wrong time and they dont give a damn the customer service is horrible. sould like alot of foreigners India so fourth. this app is horrible they booksy and other apps. square is a surprised nightmare do not download and take your money out

lately this app has been giving me so many issues ive constantly have had to uninstall and reinstall in order to use the tap to pay
something has happened... had worked fine until the last update. i just had to uninstall/reinstall this past week as the tap to pay on the phone stopped working.. reinstalled and then worked again. now it has stopped again. getting ready to install/reinstall a second time. there has to be something in the update that has gotten messed up. it will not connect to square. never had a problem for over 6 years and now this same, twice in a week.

Phenomenal Platform to Manage Business Transactions and Reporting. Highly recommend using this for small business operating under $1,000,000/year. Edit: I often need to use my phone at bought to utilize square and the white background is frying my eyes. I promise my square payments I made last year alone can pay for a simple dark mode update lol. Would you guys be willing to update that pear so we can have a dark mode? I can't even force it dark in dev mode either. Will update 5 stars again
Pairing square reader now vs last use. Square reader now won't pair now. Used in late March (late April now) with no problems. Won't pair at all now. Lost sales today because I couldn't use the reader. 😡😡😡
it's worth fine for a year on this phone several years on other phone then about a month and a half to 2 months ago it would randomly say reader failed to connect referring to tap to pay it says this for about an hour to 2 hours then it starts working it does it's not only on my phone but on other people's phones it does this in different cities and different states
Lot of problems with capturing payment always getting error can't use swipe and tap at the same time...... Not really happy with this platform.
tap to pay "failed to connect" glitch for the last week or so, later on in the day it fixes itself
