yo steam actually suuuuuucks. The log in is terrible, change your password and itll still keep you locked out. their support system is absolute trash. all they want is you to buy their games so they can offer you a subpar operating system. steam desperately wants to be xbox but falls utterly short.

Steam moderation has an insanely common habit of defending pedophiles, ignoring people that break TOS, and supporting users that actively threaten, harass, throw slurs, and spam normal users. Don't worry about people that call those kinds of people out though, if you so much as call out those people you'll get the ban and removal.

In recent months ive had a lot of asian games recommended to me even though i have English as my primary language and no secondary languages selected in the store. Majority even say "English language not supported" yet they are recommended to me regardless.

absolutely Horrid with tech support that doesn't read messages. I can't even create a profile as I'm stuck in a verification loop that the app won't get out of it. I have contacted your supposed tech support and they keep telling me to do what I'm already doing.So I keep going in circles for an app I don't really need. One star ⭐ review only because there isn't a zero ... terrible tech support just for trying to create an account.
forcing me to download the app just to get into my account... what if I didn't have a mobile device to login to... and only a laptop... if security has to be this technical I just won't download games from this platform
Trying to navigate the app is a problem, I'm a Samsung user and have no idea if I can even play the games in this, either I'm really don't know how to use steam, or their gaming setup isn't for mobile.

may 4, 2026, can't log in to the store so I can't buy or wishlist anything. I can't even load the news and updates page of a game without it triggering an error.

blocks login on another devices with QR claiming my login is unauthorized. ridiculous
could not add money in the wallet, just says something went wrong try again later. but it never works and doesn't even explain what the issue is. then I have another account send a gift card instead. got the mail, pressed link to accept, it leads to steam, I press accept gift. it says error and disappears. lol, I go to support and and it leads to gift history, it shows no history. and the email link on accept gift also leads to no pending gift. dont use this trashy app. it just steals your money

quit. signing. me. out. this is the cursed thing im supposed to be able to use TO SIGN IN! THAT DOESNT DO ME ANY GOOD IF ITS CONSTANTLY SIGNED OUT AND I HAVE TO CHASE DOWN THE CHAIN OF EMAIL ACCOUNTS FROM 2008 THAT I DONT KNOW THE PASSWORD TO EITHER EVERYFNTIME

keeps signing out of the app on phone. when i sign in nothing works. says i have 0 games and nothing loads! just get errors.
Steam is excellent on my PC, but for some reason it keeps signing me out on my phone and tablet, and since I can't remember my password, it is literally impossible to sign back in due to how ridiculous their authenticator is. there's no way to use the pc app to verify my account, and support takes ages to respond. if I end up getting logged out on my PC, I am completely screwed.
