The search function is awful. No filters of any kind, just search by name everything. Can I search by category? Date? Length? No, of course not! The text in the app is also way too small. Make it readable, it's not that hard. Edit: Instead of fixing the search function they add a dumb AI. Storytel really don't care about us.

I had issues renewing my subscription, and their support team wasn't helpful at all. This is the first time I've seen a company that doesn't seem to want people to subscribe to their services

I had a book disapear from my library in the middle of me reading it 😀 I think their license expired. And customer support is a chat bot, "perfect" service 👌

1 Star Completely Inaccessible for Screen Readers Audiobooks are vital resources that the visually disabled community relies upon, yet your app blocks us at the front door. The login screens, account creation menus, and tab bars lack proper accessibility labels and are completely incompatible with screen readers. It is impossible to even log in or create an account. Please escalate this to your engineering team immediately to fix these onboarding blocks

(Tamil) the app disappointed me too much. very less contents(Tamil) and boring old type of narration.sometimes irritated.sometimessleepy.worthless.some youtube channel book summaries are better than the app. waste of time and money and also app storage space in my device. before the subscription end uninstalled the app.even i can't listen for the paid month end. I think the apps tamil narration is from the past 1960's

I was scamed, and I cant even cancel the subskription properly. I advice against using that program, or atleast think before subskribe to it. I cant eaven cancel my subscription properly.
Most horrible app for book listening. Showered with ads about other books constantly despite paying for subscription! I WANT TO LISTEN AND CHOOSE WHAT I WANT, STOP SHOVING ME YOUR PROMOTED BOOKS! As soon as I finish the audiobook that is only available here and not on audible I'm cancelling subscription and deleting this app.
I can't select my country while creating account, so why make it available to download if I can't create an account.
i can not hear books in my native language if i do not live in my country. stupid!
App is in English but I can't choose any English speaking country for where I live. Device language is in English, Google maps shows me in England so my GPS is locating me correctly.

extremely bad experience. I have paid a servide through A1 and 1 month after still no access to the platform. I am writing useless conversations with some bots. No real customer service. It is a shame

worst audiobook app . won't recommend anyone to even install it.. simple waste of time .. limited titles and constant interruption make their way to mess your mind. Save your time.🙂

The new dialogue when sleep timer expires is broken and annoying. There is no way to just dismiss it without it then changing the current time, it skips back. Broken and unintuitive.
Bra: appen spelar upp böcker bra och tappar inte bort var man är. Dåligt: Full med reklam fast man betalar 300eller mer i månaden. Påträngande rekomendationer. ofta i video format. Tar ofta upp hela initiala vyn. Usel sök och filter funktionalitet.

horrible user experience after suggestions pop up before and after finishing books. what were they thinking
the Sleep Timer annoys me to hell and back. if you continue after the sleep timer ended through tapping resume on your headphones and you then go back into the app it asks if you want to rewind some minutes but there is NO option to not rewind. And if you ignore it it just rewinds all the way back to the end point of the sleep timer. this is an obvious bug but one that annoys me a lot
Storytel is slowly but surely becoming ai slop- first it was the readers, now it's the story summaires which are just plainly wrong more often than not. at least theyre not amazon...
how in the world it can be that books that have two dozens of chapters are presented as one or two? why it is so hard to split them as they are and name them so they are not just numbers. why, just why seeking backwards effects on some occasion as seeking forwards and why in world buffer is dropped moment it's listened to. if I want to check last minute or so I have to redownload it. and stability of streaming is beyond horrible. often hanging for long few minutes on full range 5g connection.
this app used to be fine, everything included in the monthly price and now literally every time I look up a book I want to listen to i have to pay extra for it. Sort of defeats the purpose of having a monthly subscription if I'm having to pay extra for everything anyway.. if I wanted to buy audiobooks I would buy audiobooks. That's not why I use this app
A new review, some years later and the app is more expensive that ever, and the bugs are worse than ever... I recommend you choose some of the other audio book apps. this one want their paying customers to help them develop their app.
