It works great until you checkout and try to pay. "oops something went wrong." I try over and over to order and get the same message. I went to the restaurant to use the kiosk, oops can't get the code for rewards. Then I order at the register. The cashier asks me a few minutes later if I had a mobile order. So now I have to get a refund for what I just ordered. Worst mobile food app I have used. It will work every time if you use the wrong location.
Updated app doesn't let me checkout! I cleared my cache and uninstalled and reinstalled it, and it STILL says "Uh Oh" error when you try to checkout. I contacted customer service about this last week and they sent me a promo code for five dollars off ONLY of their online orders so I CAN'T EVEN USE IT. Terrible because I can't get the online order exclusive items I like. edit: Uninstalled app and used website to use coupon. But it says REDEEM EXCLUSIVE REWARDS ONLY ON THE APP. So no points now.
This thing literally never works and taco bell doesn't do anything about it even though they know that their app is the absolute worst!!! It completely ruins the taco bell experience every time because it starts every visit off with frustration.
only get api errors or blank screens. if your app wont work at least stop making your mobile site redirect me to the broken app
APP WILL NEVER BE GOOD!!! Update is supposed to be a good thing, but this app just finds ways to get worse every time it opens. AI is running this company at this point. notice the reply is talking about loyalty program issues which Im clearly not talking about as any human would know.

Initially, wouldn't let me order nuggets without picking a sauce when I don't want any sauce... Then, glitched out so it wouldn't let me even pick a sauce and thus wouldn't let me order
Taco Bell App used to be great for rewards. Order, scan receipt, get points. Then they changed it, and now they've changed it again where you have to upload the receipt within 5 days. Junk. Should be called "Taco Bell We don't want to give you Rewards app."
Cannot order dine in on the app like BK or Mcd's.
Old Luxe Box: Beefy 5 layer was a secondary selection, not a primary. Could get it + a crunchwrap New Luxe Box: More expensive, beefy 5 layer now a primary selection, making it equal in cost to the crunchwrap if getting a Luxe Box. It's a slap in the face. I'll just eat at home more. Rather than than let a corporation think they can just take more and more from its customers and that we'll continue buying.

Really disappointed that the online exclusive Build-Your-Own Box appears to have been discontinued. It was the one box meal left on the menu that was fully customizable and affordable. My wife and I would get Taco Bell all the time since we could customize the box and get what we liked at a reasonable price, but I feel completely priced out now. The normal box options have locked items, and the only options to replace the Twists are chips for an "extra cost." Bring this back, and I'll come back.
It is so frustrating the app crashes or doubles your amount out of no where makes you change locations because it says your store is not open even when your standing in the store. I sent out multiple messages for help and nothing in return.... So I guess I don't matter.
I have been a Taco Bell employee for 18 years and I must say this app absolutely sucks I cannot believe that Yum brands paid millions of dollars for this app to be generated and it's absolute and complete garbage what a shame this is I could honestly do a better job of creating an app then the loser that you guys paid millions of dollars to make this one I'm very thankful for Taco Bell over the years for employing me and at times because of that employment really saving my life but come
Just downloaded the app. I'm right outside of Taco Bell in Irvine, Scotland. It tells me there's no Taco Bell even though it's clearly listed on the map in the app. I would share a screenshot but I can't upload pics. what a waste of time
Why is lettuce not listed to customize on the tacos? I cannot remove it, I know they come with lettuce. Changed to one star because now I can't even use it. Every time I select for later grab and go it, says the time has passed.
Requiring an update to even OPEN the app I downloaded less than 20 days ago is the fastest way to 1 star from me. Especially without so much as a half-hearted reason to in the update notes Update: 5/2025 now I can't log in which I don't understand how it forgets my login often tied to an update. the confirmation email never arrives. I'd give it ZERO stars if I could
Can not place mobile order after most recent update
4/16: app only works if you don't add a fire reward at checkout, which is the entire point of the app in the first place. You can't redeem fire rewards online or in-person. it's now 5/6 and the app is still broken. You can't use fire rewards, and now when you try it won't allow you to remove the item from the "bag" so you have to start your order all over again. Calling the 1-800 number, like the reply I got below, will not fix the issue. Fixing the app will fix the issue.
edit: less than a day to respond to negative review... yet the app has only gotten worse since launch. throwing money at PR to cover up bad product doesnt fix it.. NOT SAFE.. force close the app, only to get notifications from the app hours later. app is running in background even when you disable it
I recommend your local Mexican restaurant, it's most likely cheaper and tastier

scam. offers rewards but "uh oh" can't check out with them in your cart. also a massive battery drain. Taco Bell continues it's downward spiral. update: now the app doesn't even open. thanks for the memories, TB, but it's not worth it anymore.
USE DOORDASH APP INSTEAD!! Tacobell will not correct/make right any mistakes they make. They are already using doordash to deliver, you will pay an extra $1-$2 per order, but that is your insurance for the inevitable mistakes with your Taco Bell order and doordash will stand behind their services and make it right or refund your money when there is an issue. Taco Bell takes zero accountability for their mistakes and will offer comps less than the value of your missing food.
App no longer works, repeated API errors when trying to start an order.
Removed the Beefy 5-Layer Burrito from the BYO Cravings Box's "Classics" options. This immediately plummeted the box's value.
I've been scammed out of over $100 of undelivered food with ZERO recourse or actual support from Taco Bell. When you have issues with an order taken in the app the stores blame the delivery service and the delivery service redirects you to the app where the only thing Taco Bell does is say they might get back to you if they feel like it. Don't use this app for delivery or you will get screwed.
terrible awful app crashes on location selection and if you can get past that placing items on the menu also crashes the app, and submitting the order also crashes the app, even checking in crashes the app, to make matters worse, you end up just showing up in person.
can't order anything that makes me choose a sauce because it doesn't allow me to go to sauce selection screen. it just does nothing when I click to choose a sauce so unable to order any of those things like chicken nuggets
Hey! have you tried their slim-slow diet?! 🤣🤣🐄🐖. The app sucks. no rewards or deals. But I found that you can certainly mimic their food at home for way cheaper and very little effort unlike Burger King or Jack in the box tacos. You can even mimic KFC with very little effort and a thousand times cheaper. just sayin

Can't edit food separately. for example I ordered the meal deal for 2. I wanted onions on my burrito but the second person didn't. Can't request onions on the side either. Food was so bland I deleted the app because I won't be bothered. it's been 8 years since I had TB. I regret it.

Stop sending false rewards. I see the offer, click, it's not available. So dumb. The nutrition info is hard to see because it isn't complete. But all their tortillas have barley which makes me sick so no point in keeping app because of that and notif's that lead to nothing.
It won't let you choose a sauce but you can't order nuggets without a sauce, making it impossible to just order some freaking nuggets.

Uh-oh this app keeps costing you money because I go somewhere else when it doesn't work. update the last 3 times I tried to go I get uh-oh or the store tells me the system is down. .. okay uninstall good luck being wildly incompetent

completely unusable now. it used to be amazing, but now it shows items not available in store, horrid loading, and constant crashes. it double orders, and there is no way to get a refund now with how bad support haa gotten. Avoid this app.
