Cannot paste login details from a password manager and to make matters worse, when manually pasting username and password, they are cleared when switching to the password manager to copy them.
Not a user friendly app. In year 2025 and they still have not managed a QR scan option to perform transfers /Ueberweisung. Besides, since the giro card does not come with contactleas feature, one needs to use their other app for this purpose. Which also only works when there is network connection (means no working inside most of super markets unless you use some wifi connection around).

Leider fehlt dieser App die Möglichkeit mit QR-Codes Überweisungen zu tätigen, was sie schon leicht überflüssig macht wenn man den Rest auch auf einen Computer erledigen kann.

It is very important to remind the development team that we are already the 23rd year of the 21st century and an English version of the application is a must have today. Until that changes it will be one star. Update July 2025: Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 are still communicating with Earth and there is no english verson yet of the App.
very very bad experience. 1. Online account opening is so complicated . 2. Customer care just shut the chat on your face. 3. If I opened my account online why I need to visit branch to close it. Everything is so complicated bad very bad
Just 1 lousy star for this gangster-bank "app". Its boring ugly design and typical stupid german rule made. But what do you expect from a "bank" like this.
Targo ist und war schon immer Rückständig. Bin hier auch nur weil es das Konto kostenlos gibt. Sonderzeichen bei Überweisungen? Gehen nicht! QR Code für Überweisungen? Gehen nicht! Foto der Überweisung machen? Geht nicht! Kartenaustausch erfolgt ohne Ankündigung. Für die Kontaktlosfunktion will der Laden 10 Euro. IBAN muss man hintereinander ausschreiben. Viele Geschäfte haben die IBAN mit Trennzeichen. Also tippt man anstelle vom kopieren.
I'd really like to use it but it won't run on older systems.
Compare to other banking mobile app. Targo bank still need to do a lot. Please have a English version too.

I would never tolerate an app which does not allow me to use my password manager or clear the username or password field everytime I switched the window. It's BAD design.
Es gibt mir beim registrieren ein Problem aus irgendeinem Grund auf französisch mit den wörtern Identifikation Benachrichtigungen und google
There is no English language option and actually this is a French bank but no French language option either!!! Im a client of Targobank Germany.
Diese App ist extrem veraltet; Interface, UI und auch das entfernen von der englischen Option ist einfach nur lächerlich... es ist 2022. Noch lächerlicher wird es, wenn der Support hier auf englische reviews auf deutsch antwortet. Willkommen im dritten Reich, wo nur deutsch gesprochen wird. Wer auch immer dafür verantwortlich ist, könnte seinen Job nicht schlechter machen. Fremdschämen kann man sich nur dafür. Werde wechseln. Rate meinen Freunden und Familie auch dazu.
This is painful for overseas customer. The SMS option is not available. After waiting for months to get working pin the update failed on me.
I personally don't like this this app. They don't support English language. Completely unusable for me. I wonder why did I even register with this bank.
How on earth this app is rated so high? List of transactions should be concise on the very first view, if the user interested, they can tap in and see more details. Lacking functions for classifying payments , sth like supermarket, transport, shopping etc. Been a formal user of Danske Bank app user from Denmark, they are much much better in designing UI, and functionalities of the banking app. IN CONTRAST, TARGO BANK app is just ridiculously poor!! The app does not even deserve a one star by me!

Kunde für viele, viele Jahre aber jetzt ist bald Schluss. Na ja, ist nur noch eine Bank von vielen.
I am a native German speaker and the app is good. Nevertheless I believe English is vital and I strongly believe it is not that difficult to add English. What frustrates me is comments from the Targo social media team from 2019 saying they are so sad, adding a sad emoji as if they care, and claiming that they will "pass on this information". It has been 3 years, how has this process been going? Any Reponse? Do you not want add English? Say that. Are you working on it? Say that. Say something new
App is not that bad. As many other users have mentioned I would like to see English support. Afterwards I will give a higher rating. Also why isn't Google Pay available with any of your cards so that I can pay with my phone on the store? Apple Pay is available for iPhone users which is completely unfair. Is there any email I can contact to send this and any other feature requests?
App many times showes connection problem. You do transaction and suddenly "unexpected error try again later". Banking in Germany is a pain in the ...

Would have been more useful if the app was supported in English as well. Though learning German is good, but we need to be extra careful while handling transactions. So English is much preferred. Thank you.
Why in earth would transfers be restricted to within Germany?! Jeez how did this bank get a high rating for online banking?
Poor design
No support for transfer in EUROPE. I can only use the app for local transfers within Germany. I cannot transfer from Germany to Belgium or Netherlands, for that I have to switch to PC :(. I will change my ratings to 5 stars 🌟. After I see this feature in the future.
