Unusable. It literally will not verify my ID and of course you cannot talk to a person.
The app is unusable. When trying to register and enter my date of birth, it kept defaulting to today's date and would not let me enter my actual date of birth. Task Rabbit must be hiring a lot of unskilled, incompetent H1B software developers to run the app now because it is broken and unusable.

Tasker was happy to take my money and give me zero tasks after 3 months. I've optimized my profile and made sure my schedule is always open, but unfortunately didn't get a task. My guess is that the platform is just dead in my area and they don't have the integrity to shut it down. Instead they charge you to become a tasker and let you sign up in a geographic area that just doesn't have enough people requesting tasks. Do research for your area before you waste your time and money.

I downloaded the app, paid for the background check, filled out all the information, everything i was supposed to do, and my account wont activate. the only assistance is AI and USELESS. i have been trying to get active for a month, and im arguing to get my money back currently.
Won't let you enter your date of birth
Ever since IKEA took over task rabbit it's been the worst app to use. They force you into prepaid contract base on the # of task. I get to clients house and 2 other takers has already been there and completed the job. I reach out to them and they tell me cancel the job. when I ask about payment they tell me I am not entitled to any compensation. Look at other apps that works better for you. There's no help at all. AI can understand what your issue is if you're not asking a question.

an article online got me interested in trying the platform. I should of looked at the app reviews signing up. I couldn't even get my birthday info in and chat support was useless. I deleted the account
this app honestly is a piece of colossal garbage. if you are lucky enough to set up your account great but I literally can get past verification. uploaded the ID did the face scan , and the app still says my verification failed, who ever is doing the backend of the app needs to be fired

I tried to set up an account but every time I try to set my birthday it just sets it to 6/23/2006 and when I try to change it it just stays at that. Until I can set up an account this will stay at 1 star
For 3 days, this app has refused my ID verification (CA license & passport), saying it "can't read" them. Direct deposit is also broken; I select my correct DOB, but it previews and saves the wrong date. I submitted a support ticket days ago with zero response. Looking at other 1-star reviews, many people are having these exact same bugs. Google needs to remove this app from the store immediately. It is completely broken and a total scam!

They don't have a support number to call, I set my account up then try logging in and get told that those credentials. I reset my password but that did not help after creating my account it wanted to take me to the app to be the client not the app to be the helper so I closed my account on the client side thinking that would help but it didn't. I recommend looking elsewhere for work.
Just be aware that a client can file a complaint the same day you do a job and get refunded for it before you even have a chance to talk to anyone
Can't close account. Says I have tasks open or balance due. I just created an account to find you have to pay them $25 up front. No thanks.
Terrible for finding work. Not a single request in 4 or 5 months. I have a decent truck and a dolly and a ramp to move items. never got one request for work. done , 1 star. peace out dumbdumbs
its been terible, i have been trying to set up the app and im having trouble passing the verification of my ID. i have never had an issue like this with other apps. and the support team, take forever to get back to you, if they even do. It took them three days to get back to me, and said to dlete the app, reinstall it and use a diffrent email. guess what...still the same issue.

It was truly the beginning of the end when this company started messing with tasker's rates in the algorithm, and there's been far too many horrible changes to this platform in the time since than there is even room to write in a space with a 500-character limit. But know this: kicking off taskers for a "policies violation" without telling them what it is is horseshit. Also regarding the new rule against sharing phone numbers: HALF THE TIME THE APP DOESN'T WORK!!!

My experience has been nothing short of deceptive and fraudulent. After paying the $25 registration fee, they have refused to activate my account, instead forcing me into a cycle of 'wait 24 hours' stall tactics that continue long after the deadline. The technical support is non-existent. They claim the account is working on their end

taskrabbit used to be great. A full time job for me 5 years ago. Was bad last year but this year is INSULTING. Here in nyc, too many people on the app, setting prices way to low and themselves being bad taskers and just ruining it for everyone else who has worked hard on the app before. It was great while it lasted.
They make a regular persons wage on top of your hourly wage, forcing you to lower your rate to compete. So if you charge $45/hr, they will show you as $67/hour with thier markup. You'd think they would use that $22/hr to hire more support agents to help out their taskers. Nope. Start with an incredibly frustrating chatbot experience. No support from live agent until you jump through the hoops. Then the tasks are sporadic, with some being downright outrageous and often dangerous. Not worth it.

Years ago I tried signing up as a tasker and was rejected because there were too many taskers in my area. Now I'm trying to sign up again and it tells me I have an account already. I have reset my password 10 times trying to get signed in and it keeps telling me the password is incorrect. I wish I knew if this is even worth the frustration.
Terrible. I got stuck in onboarding. Every page had a problem. Why can I only select to start working at 8am? And if you leave a page, there's no way to edit. So I had my availability recorded as only Tuesday and Wednesday, and I could not find where to add the other days. I could barely even select the button at the bottom of most screens bc it's where the navigation buttons are on my Samsung. Poorly designed app with seemingly limited user testing. Account deleted.

Tasker send me a message about a policy violation. I didn't violate anything the client asked for 90m only and I said that I have a 2.5hr minimum to book with me. I asked the client if she wanted to schedule and she kept trying to get 90m. I said that she could cancel if she would like too. I don't see anything wrong with that! This app has dipped! I said what I said! She ddn't wnt to sche, so fnd smene else. I didn't violate anythg. Gas, tax, supplies, and my time cost. Cost of living cal hgh!
Demands you pay a large amount of money without guarantee that there's even any amount of work in your area, and locks you into the payment screen. Guess I don't know what the app even has to offer. That was yesterday's business. Today is pay or GTFO. >:( Caveat Emptor! MAJOR fail!!
this app took my social took my face data then told me I have to pay 25 dollars so they can use me anyway to make money you want me to pay 25 dollars when there's plenty of other gig work jobs that do this for free what's most upsetting is I was told about the fee after you took my social and biometrics
when I log in, the home screen won't load no matter how many times I reinstall or restart
The app keeps telling me I have an email address attached to my account and asks me to change my password. But every time I do it, it won't accept it. And keeps telling me, I can't use the same password again.No matter how many other passwords.

All day today I haven't been able to get in the app. It force closes for some reason. TaskRabbit needs to fix that. I can't get new work or talk to my current customers.

Auto-canceled a job from a client I had done work for before, less than an hour after it was requested. Worthless chatbot was no help and wouldn't put me through to a real person. Terrible support and lost a return client.
