So I have a bunch of trips showing up on my account where I was not the driver, but the only way to make the data accurate anymore seems to be remembering to turn off the app when I'm not driving or blocking a chunk of time each week to watch this app slowly load each trip 😡

I am writing to express my significant disappointment with the update that integrated TDadvantage. This integration has noticeably degraded the application's performance, resulting in a substantial slowdown. Furthermore, the new version introduces a lack of clarity, as it fails to provide clear explanations for significantly lower scores compared to the previous iteration, is not explained by driving habits as drivers' habits didn't change, nor does it offer actionable insights for improvement.
This app is horrible. It is incredibly slow and unresponsive.
Very poorly designed. Slow and frequently needs 2FA. The few issues I've had to deal with - 1. The default behavior of the app is to consider all tracking as you're the one driving where as it should've been the other way around where you review whether you drove or not. 2. if you go pick up a pizza, the app thinks you're using phone while driving and lowers the score. 3. I actually tested this and your score goes down if you hit a bumpy road. Doesn't matter how carefully you drive.

terrible app.Can NOT delete any trip that I wanst the driver. If I try to delete by swapping it to the left, the app doesnt respond. If I go in to the details and click "No" to the question of if I was the driver of the trip, the app doesnt respond. I get penalized for riding Ubers or GO Train. What a joke
The issue with this app is that it cannot detect if your phone is linked to your vehicle or if you've pulled over to use maps on your phone, and receiving calls creates unnecessary distractions even though I can use hands-free options for calls and maps. there alot of bugs with the app it to sensitive to hard braking ans stopping it just buggy i like the concept but it doesn't know if it's connected to your vehicle I literally just hate this app I drove 4 min with 2 minor and got 0.5
there are many flaws ranging from login issue to the way it tracks the trip. An example: I am going straight on a highway at posted speed and what I see in tracking is that I had a overspending event followed by hard braking which never happened as there was no traffic. There is no way to report it or ask for review
This app is super slow, it takes ages to load things. It's really buggy, and I have to wait for a security code every time I log in. It's seriously the worst app.
It's a joke app.
this app isn't designed to reward good driving, it's designed to find reasons to punish every driver. Speeding up on a highway on ramp ? that's excessive acceleration. slowing down to take an exit ? thats hard breaking. A passengers touches your phone, that's dangerous driving behavior for using the phone. You were riding as a passenger in someone else's car but forgot to review it on app ? app will consider that you were the driver and would affect your rating.
The TD MyAdvatange session is really bad, I will put as low as I can if I have this option. Wrong estimation, very slow, laggy, not working properly, no modifications and adjustments. one emergency stop, your score dropped a lot. It is also recording all your other events, going snowboarding, and it records all my events. I tested when taking the bus, it is ridiculous that a bus driver stopping smoothly, going with speed limit, accelerated smoothly and got a score 1
Zero accessibility features like dark mode and, much more importantly, one of the slowest loading apps I've ever used. The myadvantage section takes tens of seconds, and every button press is unresponsive. That, along with no ability to contest my ratings or undo a ride when I misclick yes to being the driver, leaves me frustrated every time I have to use this damn app.
Horrible horrible app! It doesn't measure your driving accurately at all and you have to do a two-step process just to get into your account to review the trips. I basically just drive to the grocery store and back and it says that I drive like a NASCAR driver, zooming around every corner. I originally thought the old app was terrible but the old app was actually way better than this one. I got an email today saying they were going to increase my rates! My old app score was 97%. Avoid!!!

Very poor design. This applications drains my phone battery very quickly. I have to force stop the app every time I open it to avoid this.

Bad rating only because of My Advantage feature. whatever the intent might be for this app, the execution is messy. The app doesn't record trips randomly, and what if a passenger is using my phone why should i get low score because of that. My Intact app atleast gave me an option to select if "phone is used by a passenger". As if TD doesn't even want you to get proper score. The app product team really needs to go back to drawing board and re-think. Needs serious feature fixes.
It does not rate the driving properly, it's fraud to not offer any discounts no matter how slow you brake it shows hard braking, tested multiple times. same with distracted driving, even if you do not use a phone or even a car touch screen , it shows distracted

I’m driving the same way every day, but the scores feel random-5 stars one day and 1 star the next, with no clear reason. td support didn't help at all

EDIT: It took months but TD Support finally fixed the issue where this app stopped recording trips. Keeping 1 Star because this app is making me seriously consider going with a different insurance provider. Not cool getting higher insurance costs because of "speeding" at a location where I accelerated after the posted speed limit of the road increased but the app still thinks that road has the lower speed limit. So, now I have to drive 40 in a 60 zone cuz TD didn't update their maps?? Insane.
The app has issues with freezes and pages failing. Also can't get the digital proof of insurance for a newly added vehicle.

don't download this app!!! it's not worth the discount. it is incredibly slow performing, and don't even get me started on the scoring. also, you can't ignore it for more than a couple of days, or all trips get counted against you. the old app was better.
No change in my driving habits from the previous my advantage app where I got discounts, now I have a large surcharge incoming. I will be canceling my policy because of this app.

It's not good; it's not the same data with myinsurance browser. It installed my documents after a month; then when I try to download the document, it's not downloading.
The app is the worst to measure your driving habits. I always have no stars on the acceleration, I tried slower, faster, even speed and it always shows is bad and just for that I got an overall 2.0. They do whatever to take your money by giving you very low stars, but when you need the service because your battery died in the middle of farms, they told you you have to find the solution by yourself. Car insurance is too expensive for what they offer.
The best app to ruin insurance discount. 50 to 0km braking in 6 seconds trigger harsh braking. Generally the city have 5 seconds for yellow light before it turns into red signal imagine you are driving in city road with speed limit of 60km/hr and the signal turn yellow one second gone for switching from gas pedal to brake and remaining 4 seconds to stop the car without jumping the red light. 0 to 50km acceleration in 5sec detect harsh acceleration. Breaking has to be improved for safety reasons.
Updated: The tracking for driving is absolutely horrendous! You can go the speed limit, break/corner/accelerate properly and it'll say you did horrible on some trips but than on others when you do the same stuff it gives a good score, meanwhile your doing nothing different. It barely tracks my trips which has resulted in me loosing a chunk of my discount along with false bad marks. Absolutely horrendous app, hate it! Poor customer service when contacting about issues. 0 stars if it'd allow me!

the new My Advantage Tracker called me for a "hard cornering" infringement while going straight.
The new TD advantage app is disappointing. First of all, it doesn't record all my trips. It works 50% of the time, It's so random, I don't really know what else to do to make it work. I started a chat with an advisor and their response was "If you have given all the permissions it should work". Well thanks for nothing. I've had home and two car insurances with TD for more than 5 years now and never had any claims, the least I expect is for better customer service.
Never a human to talk to
Trip accuracy is very poor. You can drive well and one day you'll get a 4/5 and one day you'll get a 1.5/5 because they thought you braked too hard. The Devs need to fix the accuracy or let you remove inaccurately measured trips. They also don't tell you what the score is before you approve that you were the driver so you won't know what the score is until its stuck on your record.

You have to verify your log in 2/3 of the time, including to verify your drives for My Advantage. it's ridiculously annoying Edit to add: I did opt in to use biometrics. it still makes me verify with a texted code 2/3 of the times I log in
TD Myadvantange never works.
It is clearly not fail-safe. I have so many trips to review, and the app wouldn't let me because of 'something went wront' message. It's so annoying considering the fact that trips will affect the premium. well, i am going to disable it till the time these bugs are fixed by TD. I do not have time to be left pkaying around with that useless AI chatbot and no resolution

worst tracking app! i brake gently and still give mr score of 2 star? i drive everyday and i know that i brake not harshly and still give me 0.5 star?? this is ridiculous. better off the apps when driving in highway. only open apps if i drive in nearby neighbor
The TD myAdvantage app is pure ragebait. I've been using the app for years, and under the previous program was always given a premium discount based on my driving habits. With no change to my habits, under this new program, I'm projected to have a 27% increase to my premium. The app doesn't seem to calculate an average score based on the categories. You can be perfect in 3/6 categories and be given an overall score of 0.5 based on your lowest category. This change benefits TD and no one else.
Previous rating system was a lot better, it actually calculated how well you drive. Current app,it just gives you random scores and would like you to run yellow lights. A very perfect drive within the city and one brake at yellow light when going at 40, because you can't predict yellow light, and it considered it a harsh braking , gave an overall score of 1/5????? Even if braking is harsh. everything else is perfect, so average is 4/5, how is it 1/5. New app is a scam
