Useless app especially if trying to make an account

Tried to get a free number and all free numbers said my device or region wasnt support even though i have a modern samsung and live in the us.

Yeah, At 1st.🫳🏻so-so..then after a couple months->getting harder to keep the vomit down, Annen- NOT liking it a few months in..vomiting freely... UPDATE- 4/27/26- HONESTLY? Update: I have been banned and my account canceled for using this app while traveling using an esim. There is no appeal, and no refund. It is permanent. works as advertised. I paid for the yearly package and it both sends and receives texts internationally, including 2FA codes. worth it for me!

free version does not work, demands me to pay for a number. when I tell it I just want a free number it says it can't do that. Edit: I tried 10 times with various numbers from different locations not one worked.

Like others, I too was suddenly banned as a very long time subscriber who always abided by the rules. Support at gethelp email was useless repeating verbatim the same message the app displayed. I'm guessing they're working hard to get rid of legacy accounts and focussing on expensive premium numbers. I'm now going to buy a a text only plan from an actual non-voip provider that costs less than next and text plus. There won't be any issues with short codes, 2FA, and OTP.
I pay for this service regularly, yet my account was permanently blocked by an automated bot for no reason. BS terms of service violation with no proof. Customer support is non-existent; they just send a "final decision" template email and refuse to let you speak to a person. They take your money and then lock you out of your own number. It's an unreliable service for anyone who actually needs a working phone line.

App charges for the free phone number. ALSO, app only allows creating an account by linking to your Google or Apple account meaning you have to share your Google account or Apple account with this app in order to sign up

it's good if you don't have unlimited texts but if they delete the app off your desk top the message will also delete
unfortunately one of the worst free texting apps available. most texts need to be resent multiple times for them to actually go through, credits never appear on your account no matter how you acquire them in the app, no matter if you get the notification saying you earned them. and youre always watching ads with every click. I just dont see why they would expect me to pay for a premium account and more features when the basic stuff doesnt work.
