Spoils world cup matches even with the world cup section turned off.
Uninstalled after listening to Gary's economics. Interpretation of uk govt bonds failing to be attractive is blamed on Andy Burnam and not Iran war. All govt bond have and fallen together, due to Iran war, so Guardian is deliberately prejudice. It is not the reasonable voice of the people, but the very rich.
What's Going On? Keeps asking me to sign in, even when it's told me I'm signed in. Please help!
App wont open
can't update
I've been solving the quick crossword for years at this point. They changed the online UI sometime back and made it worse, so naturally I had to download the app. The app cannot remember my progress in the crossword. I solve half the crossword and come back later in the day to see that it's only saved maybe 3 of my responses. Please fix this and I shall rate you higher. I had to delete the app and rate you a star lower because of how bad it got.

25 May 2026 Just been notified of a 91.6% increase in the monthly subscription on Google Play. Have you gone completely mad or just consumed with greed? Disgraceful

This app hasn't worked for about a week now--home page loads but none of the articles will open. I've reinstalled the app and downloaded the updates, but it's still not working. And I don't see a way to contact them for customer service concerns; hence the bad rating. My subscription to The Guardian is not an insignificant amount so I'd really like to be able to read it--now, more than ever, because as an American I value an outside perspective.
For the last few weeks, the app shows a blank page when you click on an article, you have to swipe down to see anything, but the page and parts of the page disappear. Please revert to an earlier version as it is barely usable now.
I have to clear data every day in order for the app to work properly, otherwise it gives a blank screen on opening articles.
Excellent until recently. No longer opens articles on Samsung tablet. Not a storage problem or cache problem. If I uninstall and reinstall it works fine for a while then same problem

The latest update has made it unusable. Click on an article and get a blank screen. I had given it three stars but now downgraded to one
One star for app. (Guardian content is great.) App is increasingly buggy in the last six months. Articles don't appear until you scroll down. Disappear when scrolling up. Really poor when paying over a £100 to support and the news industry needs quality platforms. Have previously resolved by uninstalling and adding back on. No longer the solution it seems from a recent attempt.
Also experiencing scrolling issues as reported by other users. It is not an occasional issue, it affects all articles and makes reading almost impossible. Needs fixing urgently. I paid for a sub and I can't read without immense frustration.

For the past week or so, the app has become unusable. As others have said, scroll slightly up the screen and the page goes blank. I've tried all the usual fixes - re-starting my phone, clearing cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but the problem remains. As a paid subscriber, it's unacceptable. If it continues, I will not be renewing my subscription.

for the past week or so I have to re-install the app, as everytime I click on an article, screen goes blank. there is a bug somewhere, this wasn't the case before.

Can't scroll up since last update - screen goes black
Subscription UP, bugs UP, value DOWN! After several subscription price hikes months apart I now find that the app is not working correctly in Android. Open an article and the screen is blank until you scroll down. if you then attempt to scroll back up then the screen blanks until you scroll down. Even after 18/5 bugs fix update. I'm close to calling it a day and cancelling my subscription.
Latest update still hasn't fixed this. (Glitch in Android where the screen goes blank scrolling up within articles. Happened before but an update fixed it. This time it seems permanent)
Do not update this app. The latest update has made it almost unusable. When you open the article or try to scroll up the page goes blank.

Since you updated it on May 11th, links often lead to blank screens or flickering, disappearing stories. I am going to uninstall it and re-install it in the hope that fixes it.
