App hangs on a black screen on launch forever. Never loads. Yes, I have WiFi and data available. Completely worthless.

I don't know why they changed this app up but it sucks now. Everything from planning a trip to bus routes are just less functional and more trouble then they used to be. phone GPS isn't even accurate
Won't load on Galaxy S25 Ultra. Tried reinstalling and doesn't help. every time it goes staright to a black screen and never changes.
WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE THE APP??!! This new app is so ugly and confusing. I can't navigate this at all. what possible reason was needed to change the entire layout. unusable
I dont know whats more useless the mta or the app the mta is always having delays and construction and the app it's always having some tipe of problems why do we still have mta

After most recent update, I am removing this app. I am using Google maps as a better alternative. App reflects the company service. sadly so.
Edit June 11th: Widget is back. Good, but this is the only thing out of all the complaints provided by me and others, that has actually been acknowledged. The app is still tedious to navigate as it is still impossible to see full routes like you could in v3 from the status tab (Still forced to use the map or search for stops manually...) and at that, even the new widget show less info than the old one. The "specifics" you asked about can't be made any clearer. Just restore these basic functions.

Very terrible
Now its getting worse. The app itself after the uodate doesn't locate via built in map where's the exact location of the buses. Worst part is.that Brooklyn buses B4, B44 never showed on time. What happened to these drivers and the app? Those creators who updated this app should go to Sheepshead bay in Brooklyn around 4 to 5pm to let them know your app is only working on your working stations. See for yourself so you know how it feels waiting for hours. Buses suddenly appear not on schedule.
I used to be able to track where each bus was on this app, so i could see how far they are from me or the stop I was headed to...Now it just shows a timer that is not accurate.
Give us back an old app with much more options and better Ui !!!

I used to love this app and used it all the time .. the update has rendered it basically useless now, way more trouble than it's worth. using a different app now.
bunch of un-qualified customer service employees they have. I was late to work twice because of this how stupid they are.
The app is not user friendly
Can't see a list of my favorite bus routes. It has become pretty much useless after a recent update
I can no longer access real-time arrivals for my favorites unless I am near the location and therefore I can't plan ahead.
This recent update on the app is horrible... previous version was way more U. I. friendly. If you haven't updated yet, my advice is definitely do not. Why do they insist on ruining a good thing? Like, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", sort of situation.
This app sucks!!!! I can't tell when the express bus is arriving to a stop. I don't like the new look. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD APP.

The worse update. You now need to select your location on their map or have your locations on to see the next train. Loading time is abysmal. It was better when I could just select the line and station I wanted.

Making the app solely location based is such a hindrance to adjustments while commuting and just an overall downgrade of the app as a whole. Using the transit app or Google Maps would be more practical at this point.
Awful new update. I've been holding off on updating, but I had to because the app stopped working properly. Please revert back to the previous UI function. Why do I need to go out of my way to type in the FULL name of the station when I can just quickly scroll and click like it was before. I hate having to just see how many minutes remaining. Give me back the full time for the scheduled arrivals. It's annoying to use this app and a lot of unnecessary changes from what it was perfect before.

new update ui is utterly useless. I don't need a single stop estimate as default, I want to see the whole route and where buses are exactly.
Dont like the new update. My favorites look a mess & shows me lines/stops I'm not even using. It's all location based & I don't always want that option. I want to see all my favorite stops on the main page reguardless of where I am. It was much cleaner before this new version.
The new update is poor.
I don't want to see the nearby routes, I want to see my favorite routes displayed as before. This new update really just made things slower.
Who designed this app? it's all over the place. What happen to simplification? Why can't there just be a tab for favorites, where you simply tap it and it shows you your favorites? I know, it sounds crazy, so out there, but try and implement it.
Bring the widgets back please, I just like to be able to see train times at a glance without having to open the app. This worked perfectly before, what was it removed??
useless updates. can't use it efficiently at all anymore. TRASH APP
terrible upgrade. I used to find out the timr arrival.at a connecting station, even my own. no I am navigating almost endlessly to find the information I am looking for. I was taking the q at 96 and wanted tomsee what time the f train arrives to see if i would make the next train. ridiculous as to how i had to play hide and seek for the information. I need to find a more straightforward app. it was perfect before, why make it complicated?

Edit: 3/25/26 The app redesign is a total regression from the previous version. I can no longer see my favorite bus stops for a quick glance on bus times. You have to manually look for them in the map and see the "star" next to the bus stop you marked as favorites. Extremely dumb design choice.
They changed the app for the worse. I used to be able to check commuter rail options alongside the subway, but they removed that capability with a recent update. This app used to be so good! I don't know why they decided to make it worse.
since the update, it's not showing me the subway map unless my location is on, I'm sure they are trying to use your location to make sure you pay, and to keep track of you and who knows what else. it also doesn't show the arrival times of buses or subways easily even if the stop or station is favorited. very unhelpful, I use realtimerail.nyc a website that works better then this app

Update is horrible. Real time tracking map of Express buses no longer available. Used to be able to pull up the whole route from E57th Manhattan to Brooklyn and track the buses "Live"on the entire route. No more. Might as well Uninstall this app. Useless to me.
Y'all made this app harder to use. The more I use it the more I hate it.
