Rigged, plan and simple. Teams you are better than will bet you even if you're 13+ overall better. However teams with a better rating than you will dog walk you. It's rigged to force you to spend money, because the only way to guarantee a win is to spend a paycheck on in game currency to buy the best players and all of the extra bonuses.
