drinks your phone battery while off screen. I have to force stop it when not using it.
Incredibly slow. Takes maybe an entire minute just to start the app. Constantly says the app isn't responding.
I hate the fact that I cannot get rid of the streaming services (which I do not use!) from the dashboard interface nor can I figure out how to get rid of the news services (which I also do not use) from that interface. I don't care that Toyota makes money from these subscriptions. Help, Toyota!!!!!! Latest change to require Samsung screen lock password is arrogant. Final choices for security should be in the user's hands...not forced by the ALL WISE Toyota Corp.

you pay a monthly fee and spend a big part of the month not being able to use it. it will tell you the doors are unlocked but wont let you lock the doors will say unable to do command also with starting the vechile it will say they the same thing.
garbage will not connect to 2016
Just purchased a new 2026 Rav4. Sadly this app is a disappointment. The app seemed to work for a few days. I updated to version 3.3.0 on a Google Pixel 7 and now the app says it's not compatible. I'm using Android 16 OS.
(2020 Corolla) this was the app that was supposed to replace the entune app suite, their proprietary softwareeant to mimic Android Auto, that included scout GPS. The problem: this app has nothing navigation related, and appears to only exist to tell you about scheduled maintenance and to remote start/unlock your car. Mine has none of those features. This app is useless, and the car does not recognize Android Auto. So both suck.
For the last several months the app has been totally unreliable. Sometimes it opens right up, other times it doesn't. Many times it has to be uninstalled and reinstalled and often that doesn't help. App used to be totally reliable but now it's all but useless on the watch. Very simple to tap watch to use features instead of pulling out my phone. Since it doesn't work there is no need for it on a watch.

Lots of issues with front defrost not working and no quick actions anymore. It would be great if we can get climate profiles when the weather is cold some days and hot other days. Without manually changing the one climate profile every time.
totally frustrating. I don't even know why I have to sign on to it but my car keeps telling me that I have to update something
I'm paying for an app that only works when it wants. 95% of the time, it will not allow me to log in. Also, before the app would track and log routes my vehicle went. Now, it doesn't do it.
absolutely hate the app and toyota. doesnt let you make a payment on your payments due date. you also cant pay your bill on the weekends. never going with toyota again
The app is horrible, the remote lock stopped working and forget about using the digital key. it works for maybe half a dozen times then stops working, despite reinstalling it several times. and the service schedule doesn't reflect actual appointments. for a company with a good brand they skimp on the app, which is bad considering they are pushing heavily on drivers to use it. you get 1 year free trial then its a pay to use feature. well considering all the glitches I won't be subscribing.
pleeeease update your app, all the other car apps are great except yours. it's slow and most of the time doesn't even work. why am I paying for something that doesn't work?
It is no longer compatible with my phone so it is totally useless for me.

Charge state does not update, right now it says "pull to refresh" but still had data from 5 hours ago

I have not used the app because I only need the starter app. Disappointed I should have gone with Ford they do not charge for the use of their app. Key fob starter should have a longer range. Toyota is not paying attention to their customers needs. Too bad, would be the perfect car in my my needs.

This app is awful. Toyotas apparently do not integrate with any Smart systems such as SmartThings, IFTTT, or even Google Home leaving your vehicle essentially dumb. The app itself has limitations such as an inability to disable reminders about the door being unlocked even when it's in your garage, and several prominently placed venues that most users will never need.
extremely slow and glitchy...Toyota has to do better.

Brand new 4 days old doesn't work. Come on, toyota you can do better than that.

Horrible and buggy. makes me want to leave my nearly 30 year loyalty with the brand. Tried to opt out of them selling my info and 2 days later they sent an email confirming my opt-IN and now I can't get signed In to the app to try to change it again it took nearly an hour to change privacy settings, jumping through all of the hoops and I still only have 1 confirmation, albeit the wrong confirmation, of the 4 I submitted.
Worst app in existence. It lags, buttons don't register, app doesn't want to open half the time, trying to sign in can be impossible (it'll just keep trying to send you verification texts but never accepts the code even when right), screen now loves to go blank and nothing you do will fix it. I wish negative stars were a thing.

The apps hangs too much. it open so late always.
Broke what worked before. the latest update no longer shows door status, mileage, tire pressure, etc. If I had known the update was so horrible, I would not have updated.
