i have been getting ads from TuneIn on the regular radio stations. i know this because its the same 3 or 4 ads on non english/american stations. wasn't the whole point of pro to remove ads on radio streaming? i really hope this is a bug and not a technicality. I mean y'all already spam Tunein premium ads every time i open the app.
A useful app turned bad, TuneIn Radio Pro used to be a decent app but has degraded dramatically into a circus of advertising. In many cases, one commercial will repeat four or five times in a row and, to make matters worse, they'll play louder than the rest of the program. It's infuriating, and I'm looking for a replacement because I can't tolerate this app any longer.

Just listened to 16 ads in a row non stop and I have the pro version. I thought you said less ads inthe pro version??????????
I paid for pro years ago. they killed this app when they changed to subscription. I moved elsewhere.
The reason i paid for pro version of app was no forced commercial interruption..NOW Tunein is baiting Pro user to upgrade to Premium..They are using tactics like loud audio level commercial interruption.....sorry this won't work.Make user mad so they upgrade to commercial Free??? Premium upgrade is overpriced for what you get..Better listening options avaliable elsewhere.

after many years, phones, updates, it seems the USA is no longer supported. says stations aren't available in my country. shame

every radio station now says this is not available in your country even 640am toronto and im in canada. very sad when I paid for pro service as well

No reported bug fix for 3 years, recent upfate removed heavely used by me feature. Trash can.
Tuneinpro has stopped working with google assistant. So if you want to control it by voice, i.e. when you're driving, you've only got the option of the free version with ads, even if you've paid for the pro version, which is a deal breaker for me.
Now. Jan 2026 issue. Not enough buffer using via Android Auto. Keep saying Buffering and no sound. Pls fix asap.
I paid a lot for the pro key for tunein and getting app ads. these ads are in addition to the station ads that get injected when a stream is started. Google please revoke this app. Still have ads 2026.
Bought Pro version, still a lot of ads, including ads about Premium subscription.
The Pro version is money arguably well spent. It supports the dev so it doesn't it doesn't need to use ads/sell personal data for the same purpose. But when you first open the app you're forced to agree to data collection and are shown a permanent ad for Premium you cannot get rid of. Fetching a playlist file and displaying a publicly available station directory are things Android does natively, TuneIn only needed to build a good UI, but after so many years it's only gotten worse/less featured.
Tunein Pro; paid version has adds as well free version don't waist your money...do pandora few adds and free...
Paid for pro version and constantly asked to subscribe, and forced unwanted features. Added all of my stations to my Navidrome server and play them in Symfonium along with the rest of my music. Tuenin is simply awful.
Great radio app but disaster to use. When I opening on Waze navigation in car mode all time first shows some Americans radio stations that I never used and I never gonna use. Should be options to choose like my favourite stations comes first...This app needs more configuration and upgrades...Waste of money...
Updating my review to reflect the fact that after purchasing the Pro version to get rid of ads I'm not getting harassed into getting a premium subscription. No opt out. Great app. So great I bought the pro version. Lately though some of my favourite radio stations (rocky fm for example) have started having sound issues. I get constant chirping sounds. My mate has this app on iphone and those radio stations play perfect. Tried adjusting buffers and changing streams but no joy. Please fix.

Used to work great, but ever since the Oct 29, 2025 update, asking Google Assistant to play stations does not work. If you delete the TuneIn Pro app and install the TuneIn app, Google Assistant can play stations again, but with the pre-roll ads. I use Google Assistant to play music in the car and bought TuneIn Pro to avoid the pre-roll ads. Now I am being forced to use the free app and not get what I paid for. Scummy move TuneIn!
I bought the pro version and then the developer removed a main feature. I'll not trust them anymore.
Updated to 1 star 2025.07.27: Removal of recording several years ago, and now removing live radio rewinding or fast forwarding is very, very disappointing. This is the whole point of the 30-min buffering, isn't it? This development is rendering the app and associated subscription basically worthless... Is there any plan to bring back live radio rewinding and fast-forwarding? If not, I'll cancel my subscription and look elsewhere for a better option.
Developers have cheated us. We paid for pro, but there are still intrusive ads and constant reminders to get premium membership. Moreover, the recordings can no longer be exported. Big let down!!
They want you to pay a monthly premium subscription for things you can listen to for free on regular ota radio stations.
Won't work without Google Play services enabled.
When I upgraded to the pro version a few years ago, it was 100% commercial-free. Now it doesn't make a difference if you have the pro version or the free version; you get the same amount of ad interruptions.
Used to be great. I've been a user for years, but the latest app is full of ads and garbage notifications EVEN IF you've paid for it! Sells your location data to third parties, and won't even load without Google Play active in the background anymore.

doesn't have many features above the free app anymore, ads still play during streams and so on. there's also quite a few ads for their subscription service...
