Disgusting. The app stopped working so I called, and because I declined to provide biometrics (although did provide every other piece of info and ID incl photos of my photo ID), you've now blocked my entire account so I cannot even access internet banking as I could before calling you. Instead of helping you blocked me. I have since provided the Manual ID method, signed by a JP, and you are still blocking my account and don't reply to emails. SIX WEEKS and counting.REPLY TO MY OFFICIAL COMPLAINT

had an issue with their account security team. for all the humanity they displayed, i would rather have dealt with AI. I hope the guys I dealt with have a career plan B because they will be replaced soon.

run away ! read the fine print. lured in with a goot rate, with the only condition to deposit 1$ a month, only to find if your balance drops not only do you not get monthly interest you don't even get a lower percentage, zero, nothing, whilst the bank happily still uses the money in your account. I now bank with a bank that down not require me to jump thru hoops to use my own money. zero stars if there was a choice.

Thanks for the $30 to try out the bank. It looks promising but I shouldn't have to be calling the bank to sort out something as simple as adding a card to PayPal. Huge red flag, which gives credit to other reviews re being locked out of their accounts etc. Not risking my everyday banking when I can't even verify an account for PayPal without calling the bank.

Scamming bank. Scammed me out of an entire month of interest. Do not use this bank for high interest savings account!
Was good, now It tells me to update my phone before I can use the App. No update for my phone and everything else works. I won't be buying a new phone just to use this App, but I will be looking at other banks.

too hard to get reasonable interest and the punishment rate if you make a mistake it's too big
this app went from good to bad. can't use it with an old OS. Yet other banks still works for me.

I went to update the app today only to NOT be able to update and to be told my phone is no longer compatible with the app !!!!! I'm now locked out of my online banking ???? I have a perfectly good and functional smart phone - a Samsung S9 running Android10. I checked the recent online app reviews in the AppStore. It appears your developers' arbitrary decision with this update limitation has caused a massive problem for a LARGE number of customers. NAB /Ubank ... please reverse this
ubank takes 3 days to transfer money to another Australian bank, they tell me
Awful experience, just signed up with ubank and with every transaction or payment I tried they blocked all my accounts from making payments. I was unable access my money to buy everyday essentials or pay my bills. They were not able to immediately resolve the issue so it took days before I could access my finances again. I do not recommend ubank.
what a useless app. can't login can't contact anyone can't do anything!!!
new bonus interest rules mean you can't make a large withdrawal without forgoing interest. only work around is to withdraw everything. I now only keep a minimal balance in ubank and have moved larger savings to Macquarie
from march 2026 it is no longer compatible with galaxy s9.
i have been using the app for a numbers of years now and have updated the app yesterday. it used to work flawlessly but since the upgrade it hangs logging in. my contacts are not there even if i add one and save it , when i go back its not there. also when exiting the app the green button doesnt work but the cancel button does work. ive cleared the cache to no avail ,also uninstalled and reinstalled which was fruitless. I also use the nab app which works flawlessly. please fix it.
DON'T TRUST THEM This app is unreliable, limited and buggy. Reflects the bad bank behind it. Customer Service don't know much & are unhelpful. SCAM: Ubank push customers to do 20+ transactions/mth to win $5,000 - not possible! I started shopping. They locked all the accounts (& then the app) after the first transaction. FRAUD team didn't know why. Reduced app function (daily limits) from $100k to only $20k without any notice (not even staff know). Can't be trusted. I DO NOT RECOMMEND APP OR BANK

App stop working asking me to update my phone.
won't let me use the app unless I update my phone which will make my phone slow. You just lost a customer I can perfectly use the website version why do I have to update my phone to use the app. Absolute bs. Uninstalling.

No matter what I do, this app refuses to use my biometrics to open since the upgrade, despite many uninstall/reinstall, turning biometric login on, then re booting , turning off, trying again, updating my biometrics etc eg no matter what I do it asks for fingerprint/face, then refuses to use them and makes me log in with password and then sends another password text to my phone. So annoying and it was a few updstes ago so for over a year, and none of their updates since have fixed the issue.
Don't trust the "Bonus Interest" promise Ubank claims you get bonus interest for growing your balance by $1. I did exactly that and still received $0 in interest. Total waste of time and highly misleading. Avoid.
SCAMMERS!!!! co pilot says Bonus interest is an additional rate applied to a savings account. ADDITIONAL!!!! Bonus interest is. Definitions 1. Bonus interest means an additional interest rate you earn on your savings account, in addition yo the standard interest rate! 2. something in addition to what is expected. 3.money or equivalent given in addition to the usual compensation. 4. sum in excess of salary
I cant open an u bank account with the stupid passkey settings, why did an android app have to bind to a google API to do this? apparently Microsoft authenticator does not work for me.

This dodgy bank let me buy endless amounts of crypto from other businesses but when I decide to complete a sell order they want to decline money from reaching my account. 🤭🪤
After my last 1 star review of the app, i got a message to please contact Ubank via their social media. Ive got a better idea.... how about Ubank contacts me. The arrogance of this bank is astounding.
The first application ever I was not able to make up and running. Error msg about Passkey keeps appearing no matter what I do

Frustrating Experience with the App: The app does not allow me to create a new bank account and provides no explanation for why my application was rejected. I contacted customer support, but they were unable or unwilling to clarify the reason. As far as I can tell, there is no valid reason for my application to be declined.
Do you only test your app updates on iPhone or something? All the bottom buttons of the app now clash with the android buttons. How embarrassing
Absolute embarrassment. I use Ubank for savings but started making purchases for your 20 transactions promo. Out with the family at the local bakery and transfer money from savings to spend. Try to pay and transaction is declined. Check account, money there, try again, declined!!! had to get another card out while queue is growing and kid is screaming for her treat. This garbage app always delays fund movement and I'm left stranded. Forget Ubank as a transaction account!

App continues to get increasingly more unreliable. I can no longer log in without being told "whoops something went wrong". Getting very tired of it.
been with ubank for 3 years but after the recent bonus interest changes where i get penalized for withdrawing money i have moved all my money elsewhere. will also tell all my friends and family who i advised to us ubank. Read the fine print people... hopefully the will realize what they have done and change it back.
