If you DO NOT subscribe to pay, then this app is nothing more than the web version. You want to transpose the chords? You gotta pay.

app walks you through a lengthy questionnaire before it even tells you it's only capable of being of any use whatsoever if you pay a monthly or yearly fee.

when you open the app, you look for a song to learn. You will see that there are "Pro " versions of the song, & more "not pro" versions. Pro doesn't mean for professional or advanced players. It's for those that pay extra to get the "real" version. I don't know why this co would spend so much time teaching people the wrong way to play every song. There is the right way, & everything else is wrong. So to play the correct version you must pay. If you don't, then you'll learn the wrong way to play
super spammy, stop asking so many questions, showing so many promotions, sending tons of email. streamline everything please, it is a horrible experience. allow the user to just say no and not have to say no times 100. also seeing some sleezy tactics in the UI layout to make it seem like you have to pay but making the close buttons less clear. Just let me get in there and try things out and get out of the way.
It's really frustrating and annoying to see so many pop-up ads encouraging you to upgrade your subscription every time you open the app, especially when you're already a UG Pro subscriber.

Used to be a good app when I first downloaded it 10 years ago, now it's total garbage. They've overcomplicated and ruined this app. Needs to go back to the simple version it used to be

This app is basically a virus at this point. The persistent attempt to make you pay for the premium features makes this app unusable. I can't believe this company has turned into this when this used to be the best place to find tabs
Just absolutely terrible, went from the website to the app to use the transpose feature only to be hit with "you must pay to do this"

I would give it 0 stars if I could. I paid for a year of service with my credit card on May 30th, they took my money. but now all it says is I need to subscribe and I can access it on my samsung tablet. im not on auto renew but I paid with a credit card. the basically stole my money. and when I emailed them they dud not care or want to help me get what I paid for. Google play store should not let thus happen. I work hard for my money and to get ripped off by ultimate guitar is not right.

this used to be my favorite app. 5 stars, but now there's too many layers to get through just to access my saved songs. there's used to be nice functions but now they've over complicated it. 1 Star
I used ultimate guitar tabs about 15 years ago and it was an amazing website. I decided to try to start playing again and this app really sucks. I don't want a personalized experience. I just want to open the app and look for songs. I'm not going to fill out your survey. I'll look elsewhere.
signed up for a trial and they instantly charged me. I was following the prompts for the 7-Day trial, knowing I would be charged on the 8th day if not canceled, and was immediately charged $40 for a one-year subscription. GOOGLE WILL NOT REFUND THE MONEY. ULTIMATE GUITAR REFUSES TO HELP IN ANY WAY.

In less than 15 minutes after purchasing a subscription, I requested a refund via email and got the runaround bouncing between Google Play and the developer both saying I needed to contact the other. I've spent too much time trying to get a refund. Considering a chargeback with my CC but since it's through Google Play that will probably result in just more problems. Lesson learned. The course available was not any better than what you can get on YouTube for free. Stay away if you're a beginner
only lets you do a few very basic lesson then force to to pay or else you cant do anything.

You need to pay to transpose and auto-scroll, like everything you need to do has a cost.
The annual subscription is unclear and each different option is an additional yearly fee ($40), which is not stated or shown when installing the app, creating an account, or getting a "One-time, lifetime 38% off" deal. I had no idea that every "add-on" was going to be another $40 per year until I tried opening lessons. No, automated AI corpo drone response, I will not be reinstalling and adjusting my subscription. Instead, I will be disputing the charge for negligence of clarity.
I used to love this app and used to pay for premium and damn its so sad to see how far this company has fallen in 3 short years. unless you pay for premium- do not expect anything from this app except for a constant assault of grotesque in-your-face ads for their premium. dont let them tell you that the app works without premium, thats a lie! I was going to get premium again, but I will not give my money to another slimey company!
