we did the uluru base walk without the app but saw people using it. we thought it was a good idea and decided to download it and obviously pay the 19.99 for the app to complete Kata Tjuta, valley of the winds walk. we were disappointed as it only identified the water refill tanks and had a few safety tips. it had no site history or information and we would not recommend at all. waste of money!! can I get a refund? we did not have the opportunity to use the app in other places but dont bother

App worked about 10% of the time despite following all instructions. Interesting content when it did work however I cannot recommend the app as it is NOT affiliated with Uluru Kata Tjuta national park and none of the money goes to supporting the park or the Anangu people. P.S. this is the same company that runs the awful segway tours - thoroughly disgusted.
$99? Gotta be kidding. Sell any at all? Make it affordable and your revenue would increase
I found the triggering of the audio based GPS location random. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. The most reliable was when I did the Uluru base walk, so perhaps it's better at low speeds? I had significant trouble getting it to work through Android Auto and gave up based on its unreliability. My other experience with a similar app is the excellent Shaka Guide for the road to Hana in Maui Hawaii. I would highly recommend the developers of this app to check that one out.
The content in this app is quite good (many hours of listening), but it isn't great as an app. Some of the stories also have sound quality issues and all of them are quite quiet. You can't queue up the tracks, so you either have to rely on GPS activating them or have someone pressing play every couple of minutes. Not ideal for driving! It doesn't sync up with Android Auto so you can't use the car controls. It would also be nice to be able to change the speed (as some of the tracks are very slow)
