DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!! SCAM!! UNest sets your Google account up for recurring charges without completing registration. AND DOES NOT GIVE YOU A WAY TO CANCEL CHARGES. Again DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR ENGAGE WITH THIS APP.

App hardly works. fees are OUTRAGEOUS. Customer service is clueless. Do not even give this a second thought. There a much better ways to save for your kids!
Initial Account Closure Notice Date: Wed, Nov 15, 2023 Dear UNest Account Holder, This notice is to inform you that your UNest account will be closed on Fri, Dec 15, 2023. Any funds remaining in your account and due to you will be mailed to your address on file within 15 days after closure. In preparation for closing your account, the Multi-Bank Program is being terminated as of the date of this notice.
Don't fall for the 7 day trial, they won't verify your account before it ends, so you don't get a chance to see how bad it is without paying for it. Fidelity offers the same service for free. Go there. I've never had a service ask for actual pictures of my social security card. Even the government agency that gives you your social security card (HHS) advises you not to share it, and explicitly says it is NOT to be used as a form of ID. Yet uNest won't let me use my account until I provide it.
Don't do it I canceled because my sister had one set up the said if you close the account your money would be refunded in 1-2 days now they are saying 10-14.
Ripoff investment tool and app
I've been charged for this and don't know what it is! I've even contacted Unest and they won't make it right.
I find this app extremely hard to use.
Downloaded this app for a survey, and wasn't ready to have my money deposited, as I didn't get paid yet, but they took it anyway! Asked for a refund and shutdown my account and said it would take 10-15 business days. That was almost a month ago! Then they said I would have my refund this week. That was 4 days ago! Still haven't received my money back. It would be worth it if they didn't keep your money after contacting them several times! Better off saving for your kid via your bank or Chime.
Don't sign up if you recently moved. They still didn't your account and ask for proof of your new address then just not respond and hope you pay a monthly fee anyway.

The app was going very well I paid for the monthly fee however I only have varo as an account and it said that it wasn't supported for people like me I shouldn't have to make different accounts just to invest in my babies future

How long should it possibly take to set up a child's bank account? I've sent you all the information that you said that you wanted and we are still waiting weeks later. At this point we are looking for alternatives, forget all this unnecessary waiting and nonexistent customer service.
The app keeps crashing. I can't even send the first gift. I tried opening immediately after account was approved and I cannot even open the app. I'm unable to use it or close it out
I've re-installed and re-opened the newly updated app on my Galaxy S22 Ultra with the latest Android firmware and the app continues to crqsh as soon as I try to open it. This needs to be fixed!
Can't use with chime
Reward links don't function or else resulting reward credit is massively delayed... What kind of Legacy Invest Account has no direct pay & relies on data mining and action based reward incentives to fund a child's early invest account for eventual retirement??? Seems kind meh... It's not letting me any further after login in to my bank l. I even try to reinstall, still doing the same.
Horrible. They've kept my money from me for months. Refusing to send it back. Don't use them. Total fraud.
Don't use this app! Use Greenlight! Greenlight is top notch! It's the perfect way to save for your child's future.

They are quick to take your money but when trying to close account it is all bs and supposed difficulties with your bank. Do not use. Want to give less than 1 star
App wont open. Cant even try it
App keeps closing every time I go to submit my child information, now it keeps shutting down and closing every time I open it I can't even get past the startup screen

Still trying to close this account. There is no way to cancel a monthly contribution in the app - they keep taking money even after they said they closed my account. Be prepared for a slow setup process and impossible closing process.
They ask for too much information 🙄. It's not necessary at all for just for advertising purposes .I really don't want this environment for my kids.i just do this some other way.
I do not recommend. Just go through the hassle of setting accounts up yourself. These guys charge a huge rate, plus they are very good at losing money. In one account, they have recieved $250 in investment + $60 in fees (notice how their fees are more than 20% of what is invested) - and the account has lost around $61 overall which is more than a 20% loss. So for a total cost of $310, they are holding $180 for me... You would be better off with your own accounts and $SPY or just use savings

I wish we could navigate the app and see how we like it before jumping into creating an account and giving personal info. The way it's set up atm makes you feel trapped/locked in......you have to continue w the account set up before being able to do anything. Also, I ended up having to close my account due to the minimum monthly amount being outside my budget. If we could adjust that to any amount then I'd reinstall. I also wish we could earn points/money somehow (the way other apps do)
