I cannot understand why I have to allow the new App free access to my phone to take my picture! why can't I send you one? I've never encountered an App which demands that I do this before. I see it as a security breach, the sort of thing you hear about on "Moneybox" and consumer programmes where you find yourself thinking, "that was a daft thing to do!" surely I am not alone in thinking this? in thinking this? The log in sayes don't recognise my email so can't log in I called and updated phone number still not working
Hate it, it keeps asking me to register every time! The old app was better. Still having this problem. Months later I am still being asked to register and verify my email repeatedly just to check my balance or make a payment. The old app was much easier to use. The new app is confusing, stressful and far less user-friendly. As a neurodivergent customer, I find the layout overwhelming and difficult to navigate. What should be a simple task now involves multiple steps and repeated verification
you keep asking for my pin number but you have told me not to tell anybody

absolute rubbish app it doesn't recognise my details, and so i can't use it for keeping even the most basic things up to date, the old app was an absolute beauty compared to this pile of poo.
I hate hate hate this bank! Call centre based in South Africa on the cheap. Helpline closed on a Sunday. Possible fraudulent transactions take forever (3 weeks+ so far) to investigate and get refunded and complaints don't seem to get assigned to anyone even after a week! It was a big mistake on my part signing up to Vanquis.

my email is on my pc only you need it on my phone though? even the view in browser help doesn't do anything to get round this
This app is a total invasion of privacy and personal data! (requesting a selfie to login). Compared to other credit card companies, Vanquis are clearly overstepping privacy. I won't be using Vanquis again, they clearly have no customer first values to ensure customers are happy with their product and services. With no way to log in via desktop, it just shows how arrogant Vanquis are when millions of people across the world will use a desktop device daily. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I've had this card for over a year and every update makes the app worse. For the past few update it now makes it impossible to view transactions - my screen will time out which is set at 5 minute none use! as for the statement same thing unless you view via payment page. I will pay balance and cancel account, I like to keep track so that it's less likely to get scammed.
The old app worked fine. Despite trying a couple of dozen times, the new app just refuses to install. Absolutely pointless

this thing is a joke. lost access to my email address and been trying for months to get these clowns to let me change to a different email account so I can get into the app, but no joy. So no alternative than to cut the card up and forget my account .

Won't let me register for the app and I can't get through on the phone because I can't log into the app to get the card number :( 09.06.26 update to developers - have installed direct from playstore and it still won't let me register. I have also emailed before the weekend but no response
This app is extremely frustrating to use. The layout is poorly designed and far less user-friendly than the previous version. The constant updates make it almost impossible to log in and use the app properly. It seems that every time I try to access it, another update is required. The old app was much more reliable, intuitive, and enjoyable to use. Overall, these changes have significantly worsened my experience.
If I could give it zero stars, I would. Cannot set up without a selfie, which I absolutely refuse to do. Your company has nothing to compare it to and if you are not keeping as your customer advisor stated to me on the phone, what is it needed for? The app already asks for email verification, then a one time code via text. I also have a password (that is suddenly not working on the website.) I am now being blocked from managing my account efficiently.
The new app forces you to take a photo and provide them with your face. Why force it? I now can't access the app, I don't want to share my face with Vanquis. I'm given no other option, I can't even pay my balance now. Absolutely terrible. It's not what I signed up to or agreed to. See you in court.

Vanquis lied to me - and they're still lying to you. In a response to an earlier review, vanquis told me (and they are still saying this to similar reviews) that the selfie you provide is not stored, but I have in writing from them that their partners store it for 365 days - they won't tell me where. I complained about being lied to, but they closed the complaint, no response. There's accountability! Seems some shady practices could be afoot here, and they require closer scrutiny by regulators.
You shouldn't have to be forced to take a selfie. I am uncomfortable with it no matter what they say and therefore won't register for this app. If they take away website login too then I'll just close my account.
App doesn't work properly, link to set it up is corrupt and goes to a blank Web page,same with the extra external link.Everytime I open an app on my phone the Vanquis one opens itself in the background.
App fundamentally doesn't work. Stuck in a loop of waiting for a verification email to arrive that never does. Card is unusable until I gain access to the card. Literal loop of inability to do anything
Now forced to use the app instead of the web version, but the app doesn't work on rooted phones - not even a popup saying so, just a white screen and it closes.

Useless new Vanquis app which is said to be more secure than the old app and soon to be defunct online banking system. It is not more secure and in in fact creates an additional security risk in demanding you click a link in an email on the same device the new app is installed on after first demanding you deactivate your own mobile security features. I would give it a zero rating if possible.
I suffer from mental health issues and do not use apps due the stress they cause me I also have eyesight problems and can't always see the screen instructions, adding to my misery I'm now forced into using this app, I'm struggling to get it set up with all the questions and screen switching to get the info needed to access my account, activating my location tracker & add a photo was the final straw I Am Not A Robot/Child that needs to be tracked in order to pay a bill or use my card.

I love not being able to make a payment. It means the money stays in my account. I tried bank transfer, I tried card payment and each didn't work. I tried different accounts and that didn't work. Obviously you don't want my money, and I'm fine with that.

Can't get logged on and registered. Receive email verification ok but constantly says there's a problem when it comes to the photo. Been trying for days. Emailed App help desk twice but haven't received a reply. Phoned helpline and was told that the App isnt compatible with my Moto G35 android phone. They told me I could download App on my laptop which I can't. Very frustrating. Shame because Vanquis has been brilliant up till now
I've been trying to get on this new app for weeks ,why you can't leave the old one ,I can't get on it ,need to pay ,can't see my statement or do anything ,it's upsetting me so much

Trying to force me to provide additional personal information compared to the old app, you're my credit card company not my doctor. I'm unable to pay my bill online now as I can't register for this and you've disabled the old app. Awful service. I'm going to have to open another credit card today and do a balance transfer to avoid this nonsense,, absolute breach of trust by you.
