Listen folks, we don't have to go inside brick and mortar banks anymore to open an account. Banks like Wells Fargo, for example, will let you open an account online! You get the same benefits with them as you do with Varo (Even getting direct deposit 1 or 2 days early) except that we don't have to deal with the stress that Varo is causing. If we need to talk to someone at Wells Fargo, there's no hold times and their chat line is 24/7 with a REAL person. I don't work for a bank. I'm just a SAHM.

I've banked with varo for 2 years. all of a sudden they suspended my account without warning and emailed me saying I have to verify my identity to access my money . right as bills are due. do not use this app . period.

I wouldn't recommend varo Bank to anyone because they are apart of fintech and fintech can close your account at anytime for any reason and doesn't have to disclose any information to you the user as to why they've done so. Also they'll lie to you and say you can reopen an account but you can't. Varo Bank started out as a reliable side bank but has since grown a bit and are owned by a terrible corporation, and customer service is very terrible.Do not and I repeat DO NOT BANK WITH VARO.
THIS APP IS TERRIBLE!!! Once I got everything taken care of and tried to get $200 it took all the money out of my Bank account I already had in there. I didn't even get the $200 this app straight up robbed me for and it didn't even tell me it was going to have to take out money for a subscription or anything just took every sent I had granted I only had 26.70 but it took all my money I had to go get a new bank card cause I was so scared it take more out when I got paid. DO NOT GET THIS APPP!!!!

I can't deposit a check over $500.00. I guess I have to close this account, because not all checks are below $500.00? Customer service is non existent and support doesn't get back to you on the Varo app.
DO NOT sign up with VARO. They are not a good debit card. tmThey do not protect merchant purchases. I never received my merchandise from Fashionnova and they are telling me they won't dispute it because it's not a covered purchase. I have never heard that in my life and will never be using this card again.

app doesn't work
I accidentally typed in 1 wrong digit for a direct deposit. I typed in the correct routing number. so my money went to VARO bank but they refuse to locate the money. I have the account number, date, time and name of payroll company who sent it. I first tried the chat option and the chat agent didn't seem to understand english and tried to tell me it was sent to a different bank. After many attempts over the phone I was able to speak with a live agent and her supervisor. I got nowhere.

That day got my money deposit from social security. Somebody hack into my account and took my whole cash.. Not even less than thirty minutes and I barely got that bank account... So I don't recommend this bank.
the 5% high-yield savings account only works if you have a direct deposit.
hate this app. depositing is a nightmare. the map location to find any deposit locations is horrendous. get some better software developers
thee worst customer service I ever contacted, you can't even speak to a live agent on the phone. only through the chat messages on the app and all they tell you to do is click categories through the computer, their not willing to help at all. I just deleted my account.
this is the most useless bank. I dont understand the limits and why they are there for because it says you exceed limits when your not even close to exceeding even a daily limit. and also never lets you cash deposit naybe once ir twice small amounts then blocks you then chat support or phone support doesnt comprehend what your saying. I said exactly what happened just to be asked what I just said over and over this card cannot reloaded is the message the store receives when they swipe it.

Been using this bank for years and now the app is broken. Crashes every time it's opened like a lot of other people have mentioned.

Stay away from this app if you can avoid it, there are many others. Customer service is horrible and a large portion of that is outsourced overseas. They could care less about unauthorized transactions and will do anything to get you off support calls or chat. When I called in about a business charging me $150 without my permission when only doing $3 purchase they said there was nothing they could do because I gave them my card for the initial $3 transaction.

app let's you type in your social security number to "open a savings account" but nothing happens and the app crashes afterwards and on every subsequent launch well they got mine hopefully my attorney won't have to get involved

I've had Varo for a while now but am not happy with it. I can borrow but the amount fluctuates constantly (even though I have direct deposit.) also on the advertisement of 'borrow $2000' is a farce; constantly I get messages saying you qualify but when I apply I receive a message stating I don't qualify. I can't wait to get a real bank, but until then I'm stuck here.
don't do anything on weekends surprise surprise right even with online banks even though you can get direct deposits on the weekend with Chime. and no matter what they find an excuse to delay your direct deposits and blame it on the company sending them in which I've known that they've been sent.. horrible customer service.. I wouldn't keep veyr much money in your account with these crooks... I trust them just about as much as I trust cashapp.. go to chime and don't ever look back.

I have given this app a try for months now and still haven't seen the benefit of joining. I set up for direct deposits and continously received the "set up direct deposit" alerts. I've only ever been able to receive nothing but $20 on the advance. Never eligible for a loan. Not beneficial at all.
I've been using this online banking for years with no problems at all. and now for the past I don't know how many months, I can't get into the app no matter what I do! uninstall, force stop, reinstall, clear the storage, clear the cache. and I still cannot get in no matter what I do??
very strict for no reason I missed one small payment on my vàro advance and now I have to wait until the 29th of this month to get it back the made it unavailable at the beginning of this month just stupid

I just deposited all my money in last night & today I need to pay bills!!! I better not get late fees because Varo screwed up!!
