what they offer doesn't even come remotely close to what better alternative service offers are. cash app and time should generally be your first choice. viral bank is nothingness. when they close my account this assured that I will never do business with these fools for the rest of my life. I'm a 40 year old white man and this concludes our business. borrow Bank can't do a fraction of what cash app does for practically free

I tried signing up but I can't bypass my address its saying I don't have a residential address and I've been living here for 3 years.?.?.?

ok you have no over draft ! but yet a dr online who insurance paid double bill me and instead of declined they let go thru ? now negative $213 explain that ?

I wish there was a way I could post screenshots because I would post them to show everyone how criminal this company organization or whatever it is are. varo says it has no overdraft but yet let my account be placed into a negative balance due to overdraft of $5 when the transaction on my debit card should have never went through if the money was not there in the first place via that's my fault

this app sucks I was approved for $25 the first time and paid it back on time now they are saying my account is not eligible for an advance but my deposits go into that account never will use y'all service again
I can't access my advance option and its impossible to get in contact with anyone that will actually help. the chat is useless. I've reinstalled and updated it and its still acting up.
they instantly declined my account creation, with nothing more than my name and social security number
pathetic I pay my advance back every time before it's even due and they cut it in over half of what they would let me get in my advance for no reason I've paid it back every time early every week and it went from $250 down to 75. My direct deposit will be changed to a actual bank that actually knows how to run and treat their customers correctly.

direct deposit is not an option for the company I work for, however I was able to access the advance for a period of time, always paying back on time until they suddenly required direct deposit. I've been using Varo for over 4 years now, paying hefty fees to load my card and even heavier ones using the ATM. Even being a long time customer, there is no real benefit if you can't use the advance option.
App doesn't work. I have emailed customer service no response.

I switched my direct deposit to Varo because their commercial says you can borrow on day one. Turns out that's a down right lie. Already wishing I wouldn't have switched. False advertising is pathetic. Guess I'll be switching back.
After banking with Varo for about four years, they refused to reimburse me for a $3.50 ATM fee. I used an Alloint ATM which is supposed to be free of charge. For this reason, I closed my account.
Just open my account they close it because my daughter signed up and she use my phone so it knock both of us out.

I gave them my physical address and it says that it's not residential. I didn't know apartment buildings are not residential.... Uninstalling.

this is actually the worst banking app I've ever experienced. I couldn't even get past the login/registration because it WOULDN'T let me. I went through putting all my information in, only for it to tell me my login information was invalid and tell me to reset the password I JUST set up. After trying three other apps that acted just as stupid I lost my mind with varo

Terrible. Will not let me setup an account. Will not accept my address. Can not access the chat bot either for assistance? Tried to call customer service and all that says is to access the chat bot.

I've had this account for a few years now and get my direct deposits here from the same job that I've had the whole time, but yet the app won't let me Zelle? Really??? I tried to chat, but all they did was give me some general lame excuse that not everyone can use it. And I unenrolled with my brick and mortar bank to use it with Varo. This is absolutely ridiculous considering how long I've had my Varo account and I make good money. Thanks for wasting my time

Update: Still No Dark ModeI am updating my review to get the developers' attention. It has been a long time since my original request, and there is still no native Dark Theme that syncs with system settings. I have lowered my rating and will gladly change it back to 5 stars once this basic accessibility feature is added.
DONT USE THIS BANKING APP!! if you use their mobile deposit feature and get rejected checks, they will try to remove things without telling you, but send a freaking email about it. It has passed me off that I was with this app for two years. Never Again!!!
Been with Varo 2 years now. for direct deposits, return on savings, great. but the mobil check deposit is a scam. after 2 years I have a limit of check cashing of $2,000. okay cool. I Try to deposit a check for $500, from the same employer my payroll comes from, and they decide to tell me my check is over the deposit limit and deny it. this is after I essentially voided the check by signing, dating, and writing the words "for mobile deposit only. considering closing my account. not the 1st time

would not recommend if you ever have check deposits and customer service just repeats back a script without answering valid questions when you finally get ahold of someone.
it's ok but wouldn't recommend as a full bank the app sometimes big out where you can't unlock your card or freeze it or make transfer but other then it bugs out some it's ok app also hate that when they system down u cannot buy anything your card will decline even wen unlock it still will decline get real bank account to avoid all the systems failures also when the app updates you can't log in then it say certain time but it update way before the time
