absolute dogshit app. all they do is screw with your money. you will never notice until you become successful. when you have a nice stable balance in your account with no reason to worry about money they will crop up out of nowhere with all kinds of limitations that lead to public embarrassment when you go to make purchases that are well within you means to cover and find your transaction declined. I am moving my money to a real bank within the week and recommending all my loved ones drop them.

I originally was planning to create a teen account on my device when I accidentally was making a personal account. As soon as I noticed what was wrong, I closed the account which I assumed would free up my email and phone number which I can't tell whether it did or not. As soon as I clicked a link from one of my parents to set up my teen account, venmo is struggling to accept the phone number and sometimes when it does and I verify my number, it shows a blank screen and I can't do anything.
i had my venmo hacked and they can return the cash that unauthorized being used in a totally different state for 7 to 10 business days and that is only after i dispute the charges. I do not have a huge amount of cash and the fact tjat i now have $252.85 that I have no access to for almost 2 weeks is just poor.

they like to frieze your account and then not answer the phone or your emails for help.

App does not function as advertised! Once verified, you are supposed to be able to transfer up to $5,000 in 1 transfer. I tried to transfer $5,000 to my landlady & IT WILL NOT DO IT! Called customer service TWICE & they WILL NOT help!!! They only tell me to wait a couple of hours and try a different method. Yesterday, I cut the payment in half and managed to send the first half using my account, but the second rejected! Tried again this morning and it rejected again. THE APP IS TRASH!

froze my account for suspicious activity even though hardly used it. asked for a bunch of paperwork to unfreeze it. I gave them everything and never heard back. not even a we can't unfreeze your account. that was over a year ago. still nothing
if I could give it 0 I would customer service froze my account I hung up on me while I was trying to get my account fixed and sorted this was a use of his power in an abusive manner then he put my account on a timeout to the system reset that customer service agent should be fired and my account should be fully released
actually garbage app. just doesn't let me send money
this app is trash you can transfer your money sometime to your bank then sometimes you can't but the craziest thing is when you can't transfer money to your bank it allows your bank to send money to venmo you can send money to people today but tomorrow you can't and then they got a system that they can't even override so if the system say no nobody can get no money everybody is just be sitting there looking crazy like what company let a system control the whole thing

requested multiple debit cards. still waiting. not my virtual card keeps declining and taking to their customer service, they said everything is fine
poor experience after poor experience. if you want an online bank account just just use PayPal. can't tell you how many times I've had problems withdrawing from apps to venmo and having a million problems occur where I then have to wait 48 hours to get my money back.
Well I bought some bit coin and then I couldn't pay anyone cause the service down so I cash it out to get back my money then they did something where it took 2weeks to get my money and they made it happen on the 4th so needless to say I still haven't gotten my money
really sucks for July comes around and a freeze my account Friday and I can't even use any of my money in there or they won't unlock it until Monday when Even though I called them and told him it wasn't fraud can't even buy fireworks this year!!!!
this app takes 3% from all transactions for businesses. so venmo is skimming 3%.
This is a complete waste! did a job and when the people tried to send me my money for the job, it keeps saying my account is a scam and when I tried to call support, they say my account is good. 🙄 but I still can't get my payment!!!! I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS!!! Ill stick with cash app or chime!! I would give 0 stars if I could!
Terrible copy and paste responses by customer service. I have thoroughly explained that I have the same exact bank card I wanted to add to my account just with an updated expiration since the other card expired. I received a response of unknown reasons to them why the card is declined due to security reasons on their end. They did not get me an actual supervisor who handles that department. I got a response that Kristen could not do anything about it. What kind of business is being ran?
Stop asking if I want to transfer my money out faster for a fee. I've never used that method and if I wanted to, I would have chosen the option. The repetitive notification and no way to turn it off is annoying.
they suspended my account for no reason. I have never had a problem with any buyer or seller, and one day I got an email saying my account is suspended indefinitely and I cannot reopen it or start a new account. no reason, no warning, just deactivated...worst experience ever. Not a trustworthy cash app

Fraudulent spoof account reported and more than a year later, it's still there stealing money from people. Every time I try to use one of my bank accounts, I get an error that it can't be used because it failed once previously (communication/ technology error?) and it won't let me delete that account either. Pathetic excuse for a financial service.

don't get their credit card I had accumulated all this cash reward and because I paid my bill more than once a month (since I had a low credit limit) they cancelled my card and took all my cash rewards
My card keeps getting declined, and all the customer "service" bot can tell me is "it may be low funds" or "it may be security". We have no idea how this magic computer money thing works, better luck next time! First off I can read numbers so It's definitely not low funds. And if it's security, I guess it's saving my money from me because why not?!? Save yourselves the time and headache and just keep you money in your sock.

I find it to be a royal pain. PayPal is much more straightforward. I usually take at least 5 minutes getting past all the "push" garbage before I find the link to complete the requested transaction.
