Didnt tell me I need to be 18 to take my money out. waited a year to get it and when I went to finally get it out, it logged me out. when I tried to get back into my account it said my password was incorrect, I tried the forgot password and it sent a code to my number and then wanted to also do my email (which is stupid, one should be enough). the email however is my name but not my email, so now I can' get into that account and ccan'contact them except for from within the app from what I heard.
Added my daughter as a teen account to move away from cashapp. She made 3 purchases today and now has an unspecified "security alert" preventing me from transferring her $$ Venmo to venmo. According to 2 different call center employees the system that reviews the payments is 100% automated with no way for a human to override the alert and the security alert will remain for hours or days and there is no way to know what caused it. Their suggestion is to use a different form of payment 😒
Literally doesn't even let you send money
no transaction history, sent money to my grandchildren, they never got it and there is absolutely no transaction history, and absolutely, no way to call to correct your goofy system, terrible company

after I changed my phone number I was never able to get back into my account. I stopped trying after unsuccessfully attempting to switch my phone number over. I had money in the account and venmo took all the money and closed my account.
horrible the only answer they ever give you is you just have to wait and then it still never works wouldn't suggest to anyone
Absolutely terrible. I tried this to do instant transfer from another payment service, added all my info to get my money in 30 minutes. added my perfectly normal TD bank account through plaid, has money in it, matches my social, address, did all the verification steps. only to find I couldn't do anything but the standard transfer that will take FIVE DAYS over a weekend. I could have gotten the money instantly as a digital visa online instead of trying venmo. now can't pay bills for 5 DAYS!

I use denmo to payville and make donations until I had to put a new debit card on it. now it keeps saying the wrong zip code on my debit card, and it's not the wrong zip code on my debit card and it works for cash app, which I had to switch to.Because venmo can't accept a valid card that is used for everything except venmo, because their system screwed up somehow.
I have spent the better part of an hour, probably more trying to reach an actual Agent. I have money that should've been in my account yesterday and AI bots just aren't cutting it. Once said funds are received I will most likely remove the app and advise friends and family to do the same.
I have an unauthorized charge and I can not get any help. I don't trust putting my business on this app if they don't even handle something this small.

worst banking app I've ever used. had an account for 1 week didn't even get to use my card for the first time and they blocked access to my account. and won't even tell me why
Very difficult to use I had a heck of a time transferring $ out of Venmo. I am deleting my Venmo account. I do NOT recommend!
2 weeks clients attempted to pay me, getting shut down by their banks. warning i was a scam . attention of chat help .they seemed concerned and said they would look and get back to me in 4 or 5 days. Day 5, client attempts to pay,is given the same line.Contacted chat help 2nd ,they say you are clear good standing must be clients bank doing it. 4 of my clients from different banks same message. today I finally get payed.they froze my account and no reason but vague possible violation of terms.?
I just got venmo and it's not showing my other debt card that I have connected anywhere on the app and when I try to re-add it, it says the card already exists. please fix this bug, it's incredibly annoying.
so far not too good, some one tried 3 times to send me money and could not do after I sent them my information.
can't remove an expired account and a connected business account
it won't let me get a card nor verify my identity somethings wrong in the system fix your app and get back to me

Don't link my bank account says there is a problem with my debit card.So I can't even send my daughter money
I signed up for venmo a few days ago. So far, I've tried half a dozen debit cards & bank accounts, but have had no luck being able to add money to Venmo. Phone support doesn't exist. Chat support is horrible. I was given info that didn't apply and Ferdi (the chat rep or agent) stopped responding.
Worse, customer service, have you ever problem with them? You're better off just to leave. They're not there to help you.

Currently trying to do a simple task, trying to send money back to myself after sending it to my nephews teen account...after setting up his account on his phone we realized he can't see what I sent him originally so, I decided to send it back however, the app doesn't allow me to just SIMPLY send it back. I tried to request it from him but again he doesn't see any requests or notifications. I've called "customer service" which led to nowhere. The "Chat" service isn't helpful either
I have been waiting for my Venmo debit card to show up 4 months now.
it does not let me add money to the venmo balance from my bank. despite the fact that their help says I can. app says go to website. website says you can do thru app. neither has that option. with PayPal, even if I dont have money in the balance, it will still draw from my bank/card for a PayPal purchase ---- venmo does not. I have misses out on no delivery fee with venmo and Uber eats special.
Convenient and stable app (ONLY for personal transfers between friends), even if it's owned by PayPal. 5 stars for service, minus 2 for the absolute AD SLOP I have to deal with now in their latest updates. Counting down the days until it's illegal to force phone users to use apps over browser, where at least I can use an adblocker and scripts :)
the automated assistant did not work for my question. spend half an hour trying to figure out your own Venmo tag/handle/address. there's a charge to send money.
As of right now, I don't trust Venmo anymore. I will never keep my money on my Venmo account again.
good app for small transactions but way to limited for purchasing or sending amounts over $300 and adding money to your own account from your personal bank account,which you have to give access to, takes over a week despite your bank account being debited immediately seems sus
