saving assistant that costs money is a total scam. a feature that should be included in the app like monitoring should always be free. totally disappointed!

At this time of the year, one doesn't need the heating all day, but sometimes just want to turn on the heating. Doesn't sound like an unusual request. But it's not possible, I have to change time plans...
older version becomes useless and won't let open unless the app is immediately updated. a warning would be nice.
You need this app to control your heating and hot water. The problem is that it is limiting your daily schedules to 3 phases. For example to prevent your heating running all night set the Reduced setting to a desired lowest temp. Next is Normal for in the daytime and there is comfort for the cold evenings. However it is not very flexible. So you can't do Reduced, Normal, Reduced ( because you might not want to heat your house in the day). It needs to be more flexible.

I think it's dreadful that you pay thousands of pounds/euros for a heat pump promised all the clever stuff only to then be told you have to subscribe to read your own data it's criminal, it should be all free so we can reduce our heating bills, if we pay for the subscription we are not saving, so much for Viessmann trying to save the planet.

terrible app. Climate sensor shows 20 Degrees. On the initial screen shows 23.1 Degrees and doesn't change no matter what is the temperature coming from the sensor..

Kundenservice nicht vorhanden. Bei mir wurde 2025 eine neue Viessmann Gasbrennwertheizung installiert. In der ViCare App gibt es die Kachel "Heating Circuit", deren Funktion für mein System weder aus der App, noch mit Eigenrecherche und auch nicht durch die KundenHotline aufzulösen war. Daraufhin haben ich den Fall auf Anraten der Hotline an Viessmanns Customer-Care Email geschickt. Customer-Care gibt keine Antwort und verweist auf Ihre online Community. Nie wieder Viessmann.
My heating system is constantly losing connection to backend, vicare sees my installation offline each time i have a wifi interruption or electric shut down/up i have to manualy set acces-point on, then off, and ViCare then sees my heater system back on. (VITOCAL 150a). my other viessmann equipments does not have this issues and comme back online alone without intervention. i hope viessmann wil update the software and fix that bug :-/
the heat pump from Viessmann is a very weak product compared to those from competitors. The heat pump does not start if the electric heater is off. the app shows you the electric heater is off but it does not allow to turn it on remotely. the result is that your house will be cold in case you are away for a while because the heat pump will not start without this basic function.
Absolutely rubbish app. So often when I need it, I find it has done s ome update and logged me out. It's a real pain!
Manual of the opto2 is so bad :( I have the third led blinking yellow (optilink), second one not lit up at all (although I see it on my fritzbox). Vicare app doesn't see the device at all. User experience is the worst ever. I have no clue how bad the devs are to release such a horrible app and device that doesn't work.

Considering the price of the heat pump this application and the whole infrastructure is a joke. Data presentation is almost non-existent. Existing charts are weird almost as if they didn't want you to see and observe performance. Shown values are not exactly defined. Settings are poorly described. Error messages pushed to notification but not displayed in the app or stored in history. Error or info messages in history don't have a timestamp.You can't see sensors data history. Disappearing data..
Edited. horrible. I pressed ok on the boiler and since then app lost internet connection! absolutely horrible brand. regret buying it big times! All working as expected now after getting serwisant in to set up thermostat. Now the humming noise is gone - nobody told me it would be the solution. Regarding app use , Hive has better features like diagram to show when burner went off and for how long it did at the time. Vicare only shows amount of gas in bar chart. Not very useful.
One of the worst products and software out there. I have so many problems that I cannot describe in 500 characters. Viessman is not the same these days (2025). I do not recomand at these price ranges.
not always clear where to get help if something breaks.
I changed my phone and, on the new one, once I log in, I'm required to go through the initial steps once again (confirm the address,scan the qr code). The only problem is that when I scan the code I get the error that the device is already registered but I have no possibility to access it. The message also states to contact the support team... where to contact it, no idea, on the site there is no contact details. It seems to be a "one tine only" kind of app.
I added my vitoconnect opto 3 successfully but I can't add my smart radiator thermostats :/ app doesn't show any option for me

Heating wont go over 30' unless i update and accept EULA in this app of useless s***? I gotta pay extra in the app to see my consumption from 2 months ago? solemnly swear my next one will be a bosch, return quick if you still can!!!
the system is not connected to internet.. it's impossible to use the app.. most of the time it shows this error even if the app is connected to internet..so disappointed..
Since last update, app keeps telling me, phone is not connected to the internet! But it is connected.. Can't log in, no customer service, no help possible
probably the worst app for this kind of devices. and now it has a subscription plan for a thing that was free in the previous versions.

Unterirdisch! Ich kann nur davor warnen, sich für eine Anlage von Viessmann zu entscheiden: Ständig Wartungsarbeiten an den Servern. Leider so nicht zu gebrauchen. Eine einzige Bankrotterklärung der Fa. Viessmann und eine Zurschaustellung der völligen Inkompetenz der eigenen Ingenieure. Peinlich!
Difficult to connect to the internet/APP
Terrible experience as app has been down 3 times in two weeks.
Nu se poate programa un interval de functionare pe caldura. Toate aplicatiile moderne permit acest lucru. Aplicatia e un cosmar, dupa ultimele actualizari...se conecteaza greu la centrala, sau deloc. Actualizarile se fac seara, cand ai nevoie sa dai drumul la caldura si in mod bizar afecteaza utilizatorii (practic centralele sunt conectate si accesibile de pe un server Viessmann). Opriti testele pe utilizatori. Daca nu stiti sa faceti programare, nu faceti.
after "server maintenece" now even login not working, if you planning buy heating system, do not buy Viessman.. stopt working after 5 days of use.
v-ati decis sa cereti 170 ron pt o analiza AI care ar trebui sa fie aproape gratis? Daca am platit pentru centrala voastra nu e normal sa cereti bani in plus. Nu mersi!

I uodated the app and now it states there is a bug and I am unable to login until "the developer fixes the bug".

The app was causing a glitch in the furnace. It wouldn't turn on the underfloor heating when I set it to 22 degrees Celsius. Only setting it to 26 degrees Celsius and reducing the temperature to 22 did the heating work. The water temperature was 21.3 degrees Celsius. The boiler water was heated at 40 degrees Celsius. When I disconnected the boiler from the server, everything started working. Fix your infrastructure.
The last month functionality is not working and not showing any info. the email address you shared is not good. Can you please reshare it to be able to send screenshot?
Unable to connect the boiler to the WiFi network, as the app does not allow you to enter a long password during setup. When the app prompts for the WiFi password and I type, it says password too long. So the app is useless and I am not going to shorten my WiFi password just because of this app.
when I try turn on the heating from my phone it tells me there is no demand for heat. if there was no demand for heat - i wouldn't be trying to turn it on... ridiculous... house is freezing.

Es ist wirklich überraschend, dass Viessmann ein teures Zusatzabo verlangt, nur um die eigenen historischen Verbrauchs- und Sensordaten auszugeben. Wir sind im oberen Preissegment unterwegs und der Standard bei anderen Marktteilnehmern ist deutlich höher. Ich bin wirklich enttäuscht.
The controller unit has a very poor antenna which does not work on my main house Wi-Fi connection even though several other devices nearby work well. It is not possible to change settings when the device is offline and then take effect when the device comes online next time. There is no option to turn the hot water on for 10 minutes with a single press. Designed by engineers without sufficient consultation with real world users. Fiddly HCI.
basic functions only, even the hysteresis wasn't available initially. everything is so hidden so it makes an impression that the heating system lives its own life, sometimes checking what you want from it.

Turning boiler off - hard reset - restores for a few hours then off again but no solution and no way to treat delicate electronics. App no help, says must be problem at my end! Problem is clearly the communication module in the boiler.
