this app WAS my saving grace. then something changed. used to not be able to open unwanted sites with incognito mode. not anymore. i reached out to tech support and they told me there was nothing they could do. no offers to fix it. no promotional offers. nothing. for what they charge a month and how useless it makes this app, i don't think it justifies what they charge. there is other apps out there that charge a fraction of this. the only reason I keep it is for my computers. app is useless now
Use to work great. The app will not load on my phone and I keep getting flagged for things that are not inappropriate.
Can't proceed further password
The May 6th update has interrupted all the data connections from multiple apps and is making my phone unusable.
Works good, but there are so many notifications, I want it to do is work in the background and not remind me every time I open my phone that is doing this or that. Users should have more control over how many notifications they receive.
throttled my data had to quit using
had to verify my email 4 times, because switching from the app to my email app made the registration process have to start all over. then I couldn't even look at it try the app without a $20 per month subscription
I keep getting a Private DNS notification, even after I turned it off. Very annoying, I'd give 0 stars if that were possible
it's annoying always having a notification that it's scanning activity.
Ever Accountable is easier to use and has fewer loopholes.
this is one of the worst apps you can get on your phone. I understand there are people who need stuff like this to be able to break free from pornographic material or whatever, but it's not an excuse for them to hijack your phone and not let you use it if you don't put a setting the way they want it. I am steering everyone away from this app. I've complained to them on multiple times and they still have not done anything about it. pray that you don't have to use 911 services with this app.
there's been a few different issues but right now it's not even signing in. it says I've been signed out and when I put my log in information in it still won't sign in. but I can still sign in with my thumb print to the accountability app. but it says i have no protection. update. almost a year later and doing the exact same thing. signed me out for no reason. ( update part 2) I've now been signed out AGAIN for 2 months. I've reached out to support with no help at all. a waste of $20 per month.
been a user for a while and feel like this app keeps getting more temperamental. the VPN cycles almost constantly some days and eats the battery and makes my phone almost unusable at times. I have complained about this before and it still is going on. please fix this issue otherwise im canceling my subscription because I cannot have my phone being unusable some days.
Apparently, it doesn't work anymore. Whether it's down or it's unsupported, it says it needs an update when I j have JUST installed it! I was looking forward to using this app, but apparently, it's unusable!
your doesn't work is an error. Goodbye
Their algorithms send false "concerned" messages without a human being screening their screenshot images. In reality, I had watched wrestling matches or videos of police arrests that were marked as "concerning" sexual images. When you email the company about their errors, asking them to admit their guilt, no one responds. I seriously doubt this review will ever cause them to apologize in writing.
The app never actually opens for me to use it. I have to go to a web browser to get on my account at all
vpn service built into the app can be glitchy sometimes, have to keep refreshing on phone.
this app is a scam. I was added to help a friend monitor and they payed for everything. it didn't send me full reviews of everything. it didn't flag inappropriate images. And the images it would send (4 a day) were so blurry I couldn't tell what they were. I researched to see if the app was compatible with my device and it supposedly is. Dont waste your money.
300+ dollars to limit your phone access is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. this company is evil
it's showing humans in wholesome situations as explicit pictures then tell me it's concerning behaviors
uses up all the storage on my phone with the the images it takes and NEVER deletes them. I can't remove them all you have to remove them 1 at a time and there are thousands and thousands of them. use a different app or start deleting the images immediately so they don't build up on you.
I have to pay
Garbage!!!! I can't even create an account. Keeps sending me codes but none of them work. All these porn blocker apps are horrible. They never work. I bet if you spend money though, they'll work like clockwork
costs too much
Update: No response from development team Community connections is an absolute joke. It's all pre determined canned remarks. Nothing says work through and talk about something with other people like canned remarks and responses. and don't forget the constant nuisance notification I believe mine was at 185 notifications in a day.
It works perfect on laptop but basically not on my Xiaomi Android phone. I realized this after buying their lifetime deal. I bought that after using it well on my laptop. Then installed it on my phone and it did not function well at all. They did communicate well with me. But a product should work or a refund should be possible.
works bc it doesn't allow you to use the Internet
Used to be great. Having lots of VPN issues now. I get err unreachable errors on websites multiple times per day. This includes clicking links, but also in apps like the Airbnb app and others. Things just don't load. Only solution is to toggle the VPN off. It will immediately restart itself so you're still protected. The links will then work and load for awhile, but then in a few hours, they'll stop working again. I had to create a VPN toggle shortcut on my home page.
doesn't block ads. Recollecting to my accountability partner what I was doing a week ago when I was reading an article on cars and exposed to 2 seconds of cleavage by a dating ad is humiliating and seems suspicious. Also, the notifications are irritating. I don't want some step by step program or community pushed on me, I just want the blocking tech. My identity is not a porn-addict, I just had a problem and would like a service that restricts those images from involuntarily targeting me.
after the 4/28/26 update there are multiple normal websites and apps being blocked. I can't even log into my WaWa rewards app. and your app just quits for no reason. I used one such occasions to test apps that seemed like they were being blocked by you and the worked as long as Victory Shield was not running. As soon as I relaunched VS, those apps stopped working again.
useless without someone else to monitor you. it basically just tells you it's detected concerning activity. the restrictions are easy to bypass. honestly it's a waste of money
APP KEEPS CRASHING because every time you try to login it would immediately crash. the update needs to be performed as soon as possible
Probably good for teens and some adults. but my husband is really good with tech stuff and finds a way around it and easily uninstall it. Also why does the victory shield have a uninstall button anyways its supposed to block being uninstalled but it allows you to uninstall from the app.
Overall, a beatable program when it comes to content blocking, and endlessly frustrating for many normal tasks.
Good in theory, glitchy in practice
need to update app to not allow users to be their own filter guardian. Also on iPad not to be able to cutoff extension where pornographic websites can be accessed
Easily bypassable by setting Chrome on Android to use a secure OpenDNS. This will conflicts with the DNS settings of Covenant Eyes and allow you to view porn anyways. They need to fix this because all it takes is about 10 seconds of clicking buttons in Chrome settings to disable its usefulness.
