This is the worst scam of an app I have ever encountered! They charged me 50 dollars for a vocabulary subscription,(which is a joke of itself) I requested it back, it was never refunded. Like I immediately asked for refund as soon as the charge hit, they ignored me, and never saw the refund. Every option in the help category leads you to a non-workin url. SCAM app!

I did not ask for a yearly subscription and they took out the yearly subscription.
Too many ads. Keeps asking you to upgrade to pay. "Are you sure?" "Last chance." Friggin annoying.

The app is well designed, the games and challenges work well. The main issue is that the words are basic, everyday words that are middle school level. It's great for kids, but not for anyone looking to learn advanced and challenging vocabulary. The worst part is that the design pulls you in and makes you think it's a worthwhile subscription. It's only after the trial period and you've already paid the annual subscription that you realise the words constantly repeat and don't get challenging.
I have encountered multiple inaccuracies in word defenitions across the app. There is no way to report these inaccuracies. For an app that is designed to help improve one's vocabulary I would expect a high level of accuracy.
purchased annual premium, not recognized. uninstalled app, all progress lost, unable to restore purchase. feels like a scam 04/30 UPDATE I created a ticket as their representative here suggested. I got an automated response and have not heard back despite pinging them twice thankfully Google refunded my purchase.
this is the only way to get ahold of you. all other ways your app shows and you say are very limited to what you want as feedback. you think your subscription is worth millions apparently but I would really like my money returned. $57 is way too much to pay for a game!
It will not transfer from device to device. The help options are useless. DO NOT BUY THIS APP. Too many bugs/malfunctions for this to be considered a finished product.
Same issue as some of the other users on here - I installed the app and op for a free trial, the app clearly states that it will NOT start charging at the end of the free trial. Now, here I am at the end of the free trial with $70 automatically charged to my account for a one-year subscription, without being notified in any way. This is unacceptable business practices. I've initiated a refund with Google Play and am waiting on their response.
just a typical app that wants ur money to access and gate keeping the stats of ur result test. I guess Ill just uninstall
almost every feature is locked behind a paywall, not recommended for student/ saying like 99% of the features arent for premium, its diabolical
used to be fairly decent even for free, but I think they updated it to where the widget customisation (which is the onky way i used the app) is now extremely limited. I used to get some genuinely new and interesting words and now its rudimentary words like 'acquire', i also get cuss words a few times, which im not offended by, but im sure others might be, as its also really embarrassing to have it displayed in bold on your home screen for hours. all in all, theres likely better apps out there
the vocabulary they offer is extremely basic and that of elementary level. I took the quiz when downloading and tested in the highest class but am still getting redundant low level vocab. I have seen many of the same words repeated and can't justify paying for this app any longer
Too costly for Indians. The app is good but the price should be around 499 for 1 year and 999 for lifetime. plus there should be student discount as well. The average income of Indians is less than 100 dollars.
Absolutey nothing is available without paying for a subscription.

Can't enjoy it. I'm from a poor country so the price is too much expensive for me. No other options to enjoy it but you have to pay large amount compared to your parents income.
Doesn't seem to matter what "level" you set, it mostly gives words like "swag" or incredibly simple words like "befriend." I have also noticed grammar mistakes in multiple definitions. The settings interface is clumsy and not intuitive. I'm honestly pretty sure this app was mostly built by AI. Thought it would be fun to have a little widget that taught me new words, but after having it for several days, I have only seen words (and slang terms) that I already learned in elementary school.

AI generated content without proper human curation. The level test contains questions where the correct answer is actually shown in the example sentence unobscured, or has sentences that are so vague that multiple options fit. The word feed only shows one definition per word and it's not always the most common definition (or even in the top 3). When you're shown a slang word, there is no indication that you're being shown a slang definition. 50$/yr for this is laughable
Ridiculous!! Makes you take a test just to try to force you to buy a membership to see the result. Don't want people using it for free, then get rid of the option.
paid for the year and only got access for a couple weeks now they're trying to make me pay for the year again not even a full month later. this app is a scam. save your money and just get a dictionary at this point

Dude, I am getting REAL sick of not knowing when something is a subscription. "Contains In-app Purchases" is not enough.
Update-app is still trash Didnt realize sub was an annual payment so Im stuck with an app I paid a year for thinking I was going to be charged monthly. 70+% of the time when wanting to look at words that pop up via notification, the app doesnt open to said word. Again Ive paid for this. Plus the rotation of words is lacking. I keep seeing the same freaking words on the regular. Isnt the point to learn new words? Fix it or figure out a refund policy that gives me my money back please and thanks.
App is pretty useless without paying for the subscription. There is also very little widget customization and there doesn't seem to be a feature to make the widget transparent. Ultimately there is very little utility to this app when the alternative for learning new words -reading- is much more engaging and worthwhile. Don't waste your time, ignore this app and move on.
Honestly, and truly, this app is awesome and perfect for educating you on words to improve you're vocabulary, but I just don't embrace or admire the fact that you are giving an option to educate yourself on terrible language. They literally GAVE AN OPTION FOR THAT!! Like, that is a crime, and shame. So, therefore, since I strongly disagree against that fact, I will give it one star. Cuss words are terrible languages, and should not be encouraged.

the idea of this app is really good, though the app itself is abysmal, it has countless mistakes, the pronunciation is more often than not wrong despite the IPA being correct; when I reported the mistakes to their support team, I got an AI response telling me to change the app's language, really?; definitely not worth any money, you're gonna end up learning the wrong pronunciation, I'd give this app zero stars if it was possible, edit: the app tried to teach me the word mailbox, i feel offended

I was really disappointed. I tested in as "advanced" (missed one definition) and I've done a bunch of the "games" and I get alerted to the word of the day... beyond that first "test" I've recognized every word and haven't learned a single thing... sooo yeah. uninstalling.
False advertising. You can't put this in your lock screen.
I downloaded the app seeing all the great reviews and wanting to improve my vocabulary. Though I noticed early on you need premium access to almost everything, I cannot practice anything, play games, nothing! You just have to constantly see words and remember all on your own, which is frustrating when you want to look at it after a few days. This app does have great potential, but as a student I simply cannot afford taking premium.
Words given throughout the day are not very advanced, seemingly random between very basic words like "acquire" or extremely uncommon words I've never heard of. Also, some definitions do not seem to be Webster, but rather some individual's interpretation of the actual definition. My biggest gripe is that the app has a notification sound on by default. I've been woken up more than once by the app's chime literally just showing me a vocab word. The app also heavily pushes monitization, ruining it.
Man, it's an excellent app but I am sorry I can't pay $50 to enjoy or really do ANYTHING on this app. Lower the price and you'll most likely get more customers.
